Hi Cath, I am so impressed with your crochet top, it’s so pretty. It’s great to see your problem solving with the top. Great to see your mums pants finished.
That scrunchie tutorial has blown my mind! Now I want to sew up some scrunchies too! Also, you're so kind to recreate a garment for your mom. Way to go on nailing the fit!
The scrunchie tutorial is really cool isn’t it! It made sewing scrunchies so fun! Ahh thank you, I’m so glad I was able to make those trousers for my mum 😊
Fit as you go! That does guarantees success. Your mom will enjoy the surprise . I admire that you love the process. The fabric scraps are put to good use....you may get more scrunchie requests... Thanks so much for sharing the progress of the daisy project..enjoy your weekend.
Hi Cath, I always look forward to seeing what you've been making. I am determined to learn how to crochet, but I get in such a pickle when I try, it's very frustrating!!! Have a lovely weekend/week 🥰
Hi Nicky, thank you very much. I found learning to crochet very frustrating for a long while too and then all of a sudden it clicked. I hope the same happens for you. Hope you have a lovely week too 🥰
Bet your Mum is delighted with her new trousers, they seem spot on. I love how considered & thoughtful you are with your makes Cath. I also like making a T-shirt or tank out of remnants & some of these makes are my most worn items. Working on swimwear toils right now & have used TH-cam tutorials a lot to help me. Happy sewing 😊
Lovely makes - your lucky family must really appreciate you ❤. Btw can heartily recommend Megan Nielsen Reef pjs made from double gauze xxx 😊 thanks for sharing ❤
Hi Cath Love all your makes Your mum will be so pleased with her lovely clothes Turned out so well Your crochet top looks so pretty Can’t wait to see it finished I’m on a mission to make lots of Pogonip jackets 2 down so far and 2 cut out I’ve just got back from Abakan and bought fabric for 2 more plus lots of other bits For other projects Are you enjoying the sewing bee this year ? Take care and have a lovely week Cath xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Paula Thanks so much, I was glad to be able to make my mum a new pair of trousers similar to the ready to wear ones she likes so much 😊 Hope your Pogonips are all coming together nicely, I haven’t tried that pattern yet. I’m really enjoying the sewing bee this year. I love how all of the contestants have been quite evenly matched, there’s no clear winner, they are all fab. Have you been enjoying it too? Hope you have a lovely week too! 😊xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Cath Yes I’ve really enjoyed the sewing bee I’ve just finished my 4th Pogonip Such a great pattern you will love it I forgot to mention that the scrunchies were lovely in your daughter’s hair Have a great week Cath xx
I think the Pattern Emporium Pleats to meet you trousers look almost exactly like what your mom's look like. And they come in tall, regular, and petite heights if, for any reason, you need to try again, or if someone else would like to make the same style. Yours look really pretty. I hope your mom likes them.
Thanks for the Seamwork scrunchie video, Cath. A great useful scrap buster! Look forward to your Fleur blouse. I have made the Nell dress but I think the Fleur is beautiful as a blouse. I’m supposed to be on a pattern ban but …….!
Yes scrunchies are a fab scrap buster aren’t they! I’ve made a couple more now 😀 I would like to try the Nell dress too. Quite a few lovely new patterns out recently. Lots of temptation 😄
Very nice Hudson's. I'm just waiting on a hole punch to set grommets in the waistband of a pair of lightweight cotton jersey Hudson's-I've reinforced the area with some interesting so I can't use an awl and then work t the bike over the grommet. How did you add with to the pattern?
Thank you very much! I’ve had a look at the Pleats to Meet You pants and they do look really similar to my mum’s original pair! That’s a great option for future pairs she might like me to make her, thank you!
Another lovely video Cath. Your Mum’s trousers are just perfect; she must be absolutely delighted that you have been able to replicate her other ones. Do I recall your saying that you used the Men’s Hudson’s for your Mum because she’s tall and the overall shape is better for her ? 🤔 Possibly not as you said you lengthened the rise ! But I ask because I want to get the Hudson pattern and I’m tall and slim. Your crochet top is beautiful and I’m certain you’ll have a lovely, lovely top when you’ve made your adjustments. Your Stellan tee is going to be gorgeous too. I love that red fabric on you. I’m currently making the Frankie trousers with the aid of Andrea’s sew along. They’re coming together nicely. Have a lovely week and I look forward to seeing you next time. Take care xx
Thanks so much Shelly 😊 Whenever I have made my mum joggers in the past, you’re right, I’ve used the men’s Hudson pants pattern, as my mum prefers the looser leg fit and overall more relaxed/less fitted feel of them. I have always lengthened the rise for her as they are also mid rise (I think) and she wanted higher waisted. For these viscose jersey trousers I’ve just finished for her, I actually used the women’s Hudson pants pattern as my mum and I thought the slimmer fit of them would work better for the style and with the viscose jersey. I did the same adjustments to lengthen the rise and leg. So I’d say the women’s pattern would be great for a tall, slim lady, would just need some lengthening. Hope that helps. Hope your Frankie trousers come together nicely and you have a lovely week too xx
@@madebycathcraft Thank you so much for your detailed response Cath. The information is incredibly helpful and I appreciate your taking the time to reply. What rain this afternoon ! St. Swithin’s Day too 😆xx

Sorry I think autocorrect has changed a couple of your words so I’m not totally clear on the question. Let me know and I’ll try to answer 😊
Hi Cath
Great video!
I was thinking your mum might like the Pattern Emporium Pleats to Meet You pants. They look quite similar to original pair.
Thank you very much!

Fab thank you I’ll have a look at that pattern, I don’t think I’ve tried a pattern by Sinclair before!
Time for a new twin needle?
That’s a very good plan actually, I will order a new one! Thanks!
Did you use Twin Needle for stretch fabric?
