This legitimately gave me tears. I love this game. I was the 3 rank world wide in operation firestorm for longes headshot. Remember going out of bounds with a helicopter and switching seat to take random shots at unrender snips at the mountain. Remember walking down to the gas station to buy Monster drinks as a kid in highschool on summer break just to play for 12 hours.

Battlefield 3 is the best Battlefield, loved the tanks in BF3.
Ea should have just remastered bf3 for next gen and delayed 2042 for another year
bro I think this was the only battlefield game I enjoyed the most playing online back in 2011 when this game released 😄same with MW3 that released the same year
Back in 2011 I was a high school sophomore with an Xbox 360 Slim playing nothing but MW2 and B01. MW3 is about to drop and I start saving cash in an envelope marked “Modern Warfare 3 Fund”.
I had never heard of Battlefield when the trailer for this was released. I was in literal awe when I watched that thing! I watched it over and over again. I still go back and watch it! I soon scratched out the original envelope title and replaced it with “Battlefield 3”. 😂
And it DID NOT disappoint. This is one of the greatest FPSs ever. An absolute classic.
You should have done more research as a student. You could have discovered BC2.
there's just a simplicity to it that new games don't have, and its beautiful. New games, especially 2042, are trying way to hard in my opinion.

@@avipinhasov302 Both, they're lazy and trying to be revolutionary at the same time when all they need to do is these things:
more animations and animation data
longer LOD (see further)
more maps with possibly old maps stapled to them
mechanics the player can interact with(not buttons that change maps, mechanics like climbing)
and better balance
These things are all that matter after all this time, not graphics or monetization or gimmicks.

Remaster this game ASAP DICE🙏🏻those soldier shouts and sounds man, this was just the perfect blend of realism and fun, sequels jus dnt have this level of immersion and realism. This game really felt like a dam soldier in a war

Miss this game a lot. Everything was just so simple in this.
the particle effects , the tank animations , the sound effects , and gameplay over all is so much better ,then what we have today !

The weapon models and gunplay were just very satisfying and fun. Devs either made this experience by accident, or we are now just lacking the talent in 2042
Back then I thought games would start having this calbre of sound design and physics. Boy, was I wrong. Battlefield 3 is still unmatched today in these regards.

The sound effects, the ambiance... it really feels like a war. BF2042 is very bad compared to the feeling that BF3 and BF4 have.

Hey, how is your screen still normal when playing at 4k? when i play at 4k my minimap and hud are way smaller then usual.

there are no players, but you can easily play many, you can access the battlelog to see the servers

They should have waited a year and worked more on some of the maps

I don't think you actually played the game at 4k as the Hud seems to be working which it doesn't on 4k as the Hud doesn't scale with the games resolution making it smaller the higher the resolution is.
