Truck paid for. house paid for.Had it since 2008. One rental property.Bills are 1100 dollars a month.Going to stay single for the next few years until all goals are met..maybe. I love being in a relationship with my goals and growth in all areas of life more than someone else. Good video.
Thanks!and to clarify my comment, this was done not with trucking but before before I start. I agree with you. Started watching your channel a week ago. Love your content. I am single & enrolled into CDL school. I haven’t watched TV in 7 years I completely understand everything you said. Sharing with my friends already driving! 💎
im turning 25 in a week, i have a buddy who is doing it right now, and where im at, its nothing but warehouses and retail, i want something new. Watch a lot of videos, educate yourself, you don't have to be in this business forever but you'll always have a job regardless of the economy.
That was some serious words of wisdom. I've noticed the credit/ commercial/ consumer trap almost all of my life. I start cdl school this month. Please keep the advice coming.
Everything I needed to hear about trucking, thank you 👁️ 7-8 years of this life, working, im 24, i think ill be set, maybe set even before, this is definitely a great stepping stone if youre single and wise
If you save up three hundred bucks a week in your first two years OTR, you will have 30000 big ones. There are still lots of good used $20,000 trucks the date from just before DPF filters it like the one that killed big red, trucker Brown's old truck. You didn't sign off on a company that gives you at least 80% of the load and you put 10 grand aside as your emergency reserve, and and you go make some big damn money. put aside at least $500 a week until you've built yourself up to the 30 Grand reserve level which is enough money to fix anything that can possibly go wrong.
Financial freedom is not making a lot of money. Freedom is not giving it to somebody else period. AMEN TRUCKER BROWN. TB just dropped some serious how to's on the table. Should rename this video "How to quietly become finacially free in a decade " .. Make smarter choices, Love it!💪💪
@Young Black Conservative .. My comment was simple and straight forward.I personally found the information shared in this video very useful especially for the younger / newbies stepping off the porch.. Basically if you run the truck and save the $ you can set yourself up for success in a decade. What's hard to understand about that? Where did I say " rich " ? 150 k move differently all over the country. It's not the same $ in San Diego and in Mississippi... Or Maine to Alabama. I'm sure that you know that so if its something else you're wanting to express or share your opinion about by all means do that??
Start with Stevens this Saturday. 42 yrs old, single no kids. I've been in IT Network Admin since 99. Traveled overseas, owned luxury condos n cars. I just woke up n got tired of paying for possessions. I got rid of it all n now feel so FINANCIALLY FREE!!! I was what u just described, paid great but my debt sucked it all up! So now I'm gonna do the trucking life n enjoy my time seeing the world. Funny how I saw this vid after my epiphany, u gotta new sub bro!
I'm single and about to be 30 this May and I want to be a truck driver. Got no kid's and I never been married. I plan on getting my CDL independently instead of wasting a company time to get it.
Thanks 4 the tip! I was actually thinking of putting my stuff in storage and getting a motel when ever I come home! I mean that could be done for my first year till I learn the ropes!
Hea, 38yrs old and I kinda miss the road, if you want to make the most of being a single driver, carry a bicycle on the truck. Learn to strap it to the back correctly or take the tires off and keep it on the passenger side. Then request home time in the areas that look fun. Take an uber to where you want to ride and have fun. Good hiking boots too, take advantage of your mobility, don't just rot inside the truck. I saw northern cali alot for this reason. But I was flatbed, which is the better. Oh side show attractions, read or watch American gods and go to the house on the rock
@@kalillloyd1591 there's more physical labor but less bullshit, you rarely wait in line compared to van drivers, i always thought the physical labor of securing the load was nice to get blood pumping before the drive. Flatbed handles better in high winds, and if you get a little camping stove a pan, a chair and good headphones, your trailer becomes a great place chill
At 28 years old and after 10 years in road construction, I'm looking to make a career change to OTR trucking. Hopefully I will be at Prime Inc soon. I'm single and living on the truck seems like the best choice. Save all the money I can for however long I can so I can get ahead instead of feeling behind 24/7.
And when I tell people I want to go into trucking they wonder why. I tell them exactly what you're saying! They barely get it. The indoctrination is real!
TB you’re right about all of this. I have not owned a television (by choice) for the last 15 years. And I don’t watch it unless I’m visiting family or friends who are watching. Even then I don’t really watch tv. I watch the people watching tv. With their mouths half open, completely oblivious to the world around them. Television is the programmer of the masses. I drive a 36 year old diesel suburban. By choice. Man. After hearing what you had to say on this video. I would really like to meet you.
This is a great video. I've been contemplating getting into trucking for a while now and I'm saving up to do my AZ Driving school! I'm 22, Single and I'm bringing my dog with me when I go and I can't wait to take your tips and information into consideration to earn that bank!
18:28 Did you say Intrepid 😄 as in the Dodge Intrepid, LoL yeah I was loving that car for a min... the Chrysler Concorde was hot too... maybe not for long but these 2 cars were eye catchy for the first 2 or 3 years they were released... Damm now I gotta search for a good well kept Intrepid for sale... I could afford it now
@@adambarney1137 ... LoL I never owned one but I did rent the intrepid twice... to hunt for hoes, and I rented a Concorde in Puerto Rico summer 2001 while on vacation... pre-9/11 let's just say I caught 3 hoes in just over 1 week about 9 days...
About to retire from the Navy, (22 years) my car will be paid off next payday, I've never been married, and I don't have any children. You hit the nail on the head. If...when I go into trucking, I'll live in my truck, save my money from trucking, my retirement, and disability pay, buy a rental property outright and repeat until I buy another property. I'll then expatriate to the Philippines, live like a king off of my retirement, disability pay, and income from my two rental properties. I see all this happening in the next 5 years. I say 5 because I still have just under 2 years left in the Navy. Awesome video man!
Another great topic! I like to say, "We all have a business" I'm in the business of me! You are in the business of you. And no matter what you do in life, "All businesses operate under 1 principal, Profit margins!!!" If you run your life like a business, you will look for avenues with better profit margins! Very important thought process. But it takes time and thought. Work! But great topic Trucker Brown!! Outstanding!
Nope" nothing's wrong with you. You've just let life play you before you figured it out. I'm a mother and have dealt with some shit. But I'm at the point were I'm wanting to do trucking instead let him play house since he ask for it. I'm not happy. This man is stating truths. But this also happens to women that aren't ready or sure of what they want. Men can hold back women just as a women could a man. As far as a man handing his paycheck to me not never! In life there are always sucky parts but once you get the bullshit out of the way and realize you never had anything so why keep thinking as though one day you will. Nope you won't why because someone manipulated you. Then when you say enough is enough and you see that cat for what it is...theres no turning back. Stay woke don't buy into everyday mundane shit that everyone's told from the get to perceive what is life supposed to be instead let be! Free.. free... free!!!!! Oh how I wish I could be!! Stay single reach your goals don't let anyone steal them!

Tb you the best you have so much of wisdom
Hea, 38yrs old and I kinda miss the road, if you want to make the most of being a single driver, carry a bicycle on the truck. Learn to strap it to the back correctly or take the tires off and keep it on the passenger side. Then request home time in the areas that look fun. Take an uber to where you want to ride and have fun. Good hiking boots too, take advantage of your mobility, don't just rot inside the truck. I saw northern cali alot for this reason. But I was flatbed, which is the better.
Oh side show attractions, read or watch American gods and go to the house on the rock
why do you say flatbed s better
@@kalillloyd1591 there's more physical labor but less bullshit, you rarely wait in line compared to van drivers, i always thought the physical labor of securing the load was nice to get blood pumping before the drive. Flatbed handles better in high winds, and if you get a little camping stove a pan, a chair and good headphones, your trailer becomes a great place chill
Thank You, Trucker Brown. I will be leaving for school on August 5, 2019. Hopefully a solo driver soon. Thanks for the heads ☝
That's when I start also. Which company are you going with?
out spoken person .great information.
💯 percent right. Good video 👍
And when I tell people I want to go into trucking they wonder why. I tell them exactly what you're saying! They barely get it. The indoctrination is real!
Hyp Kreationz , They Dont Understand Bro. You're On A Higher 'Vibration.'
TB you’re right about all of this.
I have not owned a television
(by choice) for the last 15 years.
Save the earth Don't give birth , He's Woke Up
9:28 - 9:34 one of the most honest statements I've ever heard in life. I'm going into trucking. I'm tired of the office jobs.
Do it!, more so if you are not tied down to kids wife or fiance!

I enjoyed this video and appreciated hearing positive tips and advice.
this video is a great help, making trucking sound better and better as a single guy who isn't attached to anything.
Your content is raw, real, and informative. I don’t even want to become a trucker and I watch your videos. Keep it up
This is a great video. I've been contemplating getting into trucking for a while now and I'm saving up to do my AZ Driving school! I'm 22, Single and I'm bringing my dog with me when I go and I can't wait to take your tips and information into consideration to earn that bank!
Just found your channel, what you are saying about consumer culture is spot on
Thanks TB for the free game 🤑‼️
18:28 Did you say Intrepid 😄 as in the Dodge Intrepid, LoL yeah I was loving that car for a min... the Chrysler Concorde was hot too... maybe not for long but these 2 cars were eye catchy for the first 2 or 3 years they were released... Damm now I gotta search for a good well kept Intrepid for sale... I could afford it now
LMAO
@@adambarney1137 ... LoL I never owned one but I did rent the intrepid twice... to hunt for hoes, and I rented a Concorde in Puerto Rico summer 2001 while on vacation... pre-9/11 let's just say I caught 3 hoes in just over 1 week about 9 days...
Your remarks about the commercials were All FACTS SIR .... your page is deeper than trucking it’s about life , I find Value in that Bro 💯💪🏽
DEFINITELY A MOTIVATION WATCH YOUR VIDEOS EVERYDAY
your the man bro all your video's are helping me decide what i need to do with my life
About to retire from the Navy, (22 years) my car will be paid off next payday, I've never been married, and I don't have any children. Awesome video man!
where u buying the rental property?
@@1MinuteFlipDoc Florida, for my first one.
@@keyser_sozeevil_genius1152 oic thanks! i live in the Seattle area and real estate is CRAZY expensive around here.
Another great topic!
I like to say, "We all have a business" I'm in the business of me! You are in the business of you. And no matter what you do in life, "All businesses operate under 1 principal, Profit margins!!!"
If you run your life like a business, you will look for avenues with better profit margins!
Very important thought process. But it takes time and thought. Work!
But great topic Trucker Brown!!
Outstanding!
Crazy thing is I was just explaining this to my lady last night man great vid.
I'm single with no kids. I sold my car, have no expenses and stay at family for home time. I saved 10k in less than 2 months.
Life Goals
What company do you work for?
Hey thanks so much trucker Brown you make so much sense.
All good advise. Thanks for posting!!
At 20:10 he said “purposely don’t watch commercials” and right on cue TH-cam jumped to a commercial wtf 😂
Damm!! Something must be wrong with me because I agree with everything you said. 😟😟
Marvin Ferrell , You're Wise.
The power of compounding interest is the most powerful force on Earth.
I found this video again. thank God. I’ve been looking for it for months now.

Trucker brown imma 21 year old black man thats going into trucking to change my life, i dropped out of highschool at 17 and started smoking at 16, i been couch to couch for the past year and been wondering what to do with my life. I stopped smoking weed feb 13 and planning to get my cdl permit this week. I have the mindset to do better as a man , i have no kids and single, i heard the best way to getting into trucking was my situation at the moment and being ONLY 8 MINS into your video has made me feel like i got this trucking shit handled already without even getting into a semi yet, not only do i think your video gave me the confidence as a trucker but also gave me the knowledge to become a man of high quality and i appreciate that, 💪🏿💯💯 Real shit all i been watching is truckers on youtube nd you one of dem that have gave me the game and one day imma pass the game down to my youngin. Keep posting man cause when im out on the road imma chase this bag so hard, imma grind hard as hell so when i do have kids they got shit I didn't have and thats on 4L.
Great perspective that's how I view things.
