    I am generally not a big fan of any music used in cooking channels other than for intro and outgoing but having said that, in this case, I really like the music choice in this video, it’s both relaxing and motivating at the same time.

    Nice video. If you put some flour on a board, then rub the edge of the cookie cutter in it before pressing into the dough, it will help the shapes to release more easily.

    The heart cookie cut hack is brilliant. If you don’t have a heart shaped cookie cutter or just really want to have that shape, you could purchase a teardrop/raindrop shaped cookie cutter. They sell them at Micheal’s, but they are with the jewelry making supplies. They are polymer clay cutters.

      @@MyGermanRecipes I really wish I had actually wanted to learn when I was forced to go to German classes when I was in primary and early secondary school but failing that, from memory, dank or danke danka? Means thanks, so what does Vielen mean?

    Regarding the bees wax paper, do you find it seals well enough?

    • @MyGermanRecipes
      @MyGermanRecipes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how much wax is in the fabric. I just made a video on how to make your own and it will probably air in two weeks. I think it works especially well when I wrap fruits and veggies or bread in it. But you need warm hands! ... easy in Texas most of the year.

    what kind of oil

    • @MyGermanRecipes
      @MyGermanRecipes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used peanut oil. It has to be an oil that has a high smoke point.

    Enjoying your channel after living school years in Germany late 80’s to early 90’s. You mentioned “Qwark” (sorry do not at all recall the correct spelling) but it is similar to sour cream or yoghurt?
    Edit: looked it up it is spelled Quark, still curious about firsthand information!

    • @MyGermanRecipes
      @MyGermanRecipes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I have two recipes of how to make Quark on the channel. But it might fail if you get the wrong milk or buttermilk or if your house is too cold. I'll have to work on a more failproof recipe for the US.

    Interesting biscuit, they look to be like a denser, deep fried shortbread? Denser maybe, given the frying process may lighten the texture of the biscuit? I realise denser isn’t a proper word, more correct would be to say, more dense or has greater density...
