#Banjosa

Banjosa lake is a tourist resort 18 kilometers from the city of Rawalakot and 132 kilometes from the Capital Islamabad situated in Poonch District of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located at an altitude of 1,981 meters.
The lake is surrounded by dense pine forest and mountains, which make it charming and romantic. The Lake is accessible by a paved road from Rawalakot and Islamabad.
Camping space, Luxury villas and hotels are available at affordable prices

My amazing late father, Hassan Khusro Mir, actually designed and built this magnificent lake in early 1960s. He was chief engineer with the Public Works Dept, PWD, and built many roads and bridges throughout Azad Kashmir. When he saw a little stream in this beautiful Poonch valley, he had the great idea, designed the dam and the bridge and created this glorious Banjosa Lake. Also built the first PWD rest house which sits on the little hill besides the lake. We have unforgettable childhood memories of many lovely family vacations spent there. My father's dream lives on💗🌲🕊 😍
