Yep, that reveal is the big payoff of the whole mashup... perfect pairing with the game... female in the yellow power suit with the classic NES music that is already tattooed in our brains. :)
No suprise it works so well especially considering Metroid was inspired by the Alien series.
I come back periodically and that moment is just so damn good. The whole punchup set to Brinstar is just bliss. The only way to improve this video is to do an extended cut. I just really enjoy your work even several years on.

Aliens was really scary but also a very enjoyable experience. Aliens is pure joy. it's got to be one of the best Sci-Fi Horror movies ever.

I love how Ripley isn't shown to use some crazy oversized gun to win the fight, but instead relies on her knowledge of the ship to get the upper hand. Also this mash-up is epic winning.

Adding the Mario bros sounds to it would make it more related to the game than the movie its self. Since the movie barely has anything to do with the mario games to start with.

I've always prefered the original Alien to Aliens and I'll always do, but adding the Metroid sound effects improves the experience on the second film for me.

I remember in the late 80s when I first put in the justin bailey code and traversed to a area and just listened to what would be kraids lair music and didnt touch the controller.
I feel less tension, but a greater sence of urgency. Then comedy comes in like a curve ball with the loader suit. Great job.
