the program i'm using in-projector is PHOTOSHOP! i just make the background a color of my choosing, make some shapes (any shape i can think of!!), project and mold them to my model's face in real-time as we shoot! i have two other videos on my channel shooting in the studio with the projector BUT if you'd like an in-depth projector photography video, thumbs this up and i'll make it happen!
oh, and not sure how i forgot to mention this! lol. but the photos toward the end - outdoors, with temani i shot at 400, and pushed it a stop! hope u enjoyed the video :)
Since I saw you using the projector to draw these shapes, I have been wanting to experiment with this. Would be nice some short video on it :)
You're the man, Linus. I'd love to see a video on projector use from the master himself.
do you think its possible to achieve this look with a diy beamer out of a cardboard box? I really want to try your style but don’t have the equipment so i was wondering if I could just use my phone as a projector
Can't wait to shoot in a studio, it's amazing how creative you can get with the lighting! Great work Linus!
thank yo! and gooood luckkkk
Absolutely beautiful work! Loved seeing more of your workflow in that stunning studio UR A LEGEND LOVE U
thanks sarah
Wow wow wow!!! I love the whole vibe of the video, your workflow and the great results!!!!
Once again, Linus gets some shots that absolutely slap in this - and the crowd goes wild 🙌🙌
haha. thank you Johan!

Love how gold registers color
That’s the guy who shot Khalid right there 👆
YESSIRRRR
It’s the shot at 4:15 for meeee🤩😍

thanks for even MORE inspiration - gold at 800 for portraits is my next project for sure for sure 💙
YAYYYY
3:13 that second shot is incredible
These photos are amazing ❤️❤️❤️
thank you lise!
Briliant video!
Remined me a bit of Dean Collins photography with what he called "chroma-zones".
Really cool saturated collours!
Great vid, baby! It's amazing how what you see in the video is so diff than the actual photos you capture --- the shots are so amazing and so much better than on video!
thanks mumma
This was so cool - I absolutely love your studio portraits style. Makes me wanna try out shooting with a projector! Thanks Linus :)
thank you! and you should try it!!!
Loved this. Nicely done linus! I can't wait to get my pro pack!
it's soooo good! hope you like shooting it too.
fire man i love it! it would be kinda cool to see the lighting setups a little more in detail but your detail in videos is literally amazing bro im learning as im watching ! love man
Been behind on photography videos but slowly catching up. Loving this video so far, i’ll have to rewatch a few times later to take notes but seriously, thank you for this! I know the time & effort both in-front of the camera & behind the editing process was time consuming but had to be so fun. good vibrations Linus 👑
production on point, photos absolutely stupid nice, Linus is UP UP!
thank you brah!!

These photos are fantastic. WHY have you not got so many more subscribers? You deserve them.
Love the pushed look of Gold, also that Pentax lens is a straight up hand canon XD
right!! love it lol
Really cool shots!
thanks Viktor!
these came out incredible dude nice one!
Love your content, Linus! Would you consider making a photobook of your work in the future?
absolutely 👀
@@linusandhiscamera oh boy…can’t wait 😁
OUTSTANDING!
thanks for sharing !
Thanks for the link of that lighting! Great Tool! Cannot believe how good it is even @800! Need to see more grains! Can push to 1600 even...?
i think it can push to 1600!!
Composition and contrast are actually really good.....strong work kid 👍💪
thank you!
wow!
you're such a vibe dude x
Show how to work with a projector please. How does the set up work? I’ve never done it before. Thanks!
i'll make a video on it!
Thanks
immediate subscribe. wish i could get in a studio and create like this
I am really curious about the lighting setup, if you don't mind discussing it in a future video.
fire as always my bro
fabuleux
♥️
2:25 You didn't have to tell me what that face meant, I know the feeling and I think I make the exact same face, haha
Hi Linus. I just came across your videos here on TH-cam and your work is really dope. I like the way you use your film camera with projectors which is a very creative method of shooting rather than just using studio strobes. I just started shooting on film and looking for creative ways of lighting and your videos are an inspiration on thinking out of the box to create visually stunning images. Please make a video of how exactly do you create those shapes with your projector using photoshop.
Great shots, I was curious when you push the film two stops are you rating the scene at 200 iso?
nope! rating at 800! pretend it’s 800 speed film.
Awesome
You rock braaah
you do tooo brahhhh
Bro these go so hard! Just picked up a Pentax so excited to start shooting MF. Banger photos
ayeeee. congrats! it's THE camera
But what was your dev process? Times etc.?
what camera app you use for metering
my light meter pro!
wow these look amazing! I was wondering if maybe you could challenge yourself to try to achieve this type of aesthetic but without the studio & the equipment? I would love to shoot like this but can‘t afford a projector etc., so it would be really cool to see how one could do this in a normal house i.g. Just with your phone light or something like this!
whats the “budget” way to do studio/conceptual photography? great work as always linus!!! love from Malaysia
shoot against a wall at home and grab some afforable LED RGB lights off the internet! a lot of my favorite work has been shot against a random blank wall at my apartment ✨
@@linusandhiscamera definitely will try that. thankyou!
That apurture nova light is so clutch when it come to this kind of photography ,it’s colour rendition is second to none, so easy to use but also very heavy.
brah it was so sick. wish i owned one
Amazing video man loved it very inspiring!
What lenses where you rocking with the Pentax in the second shoot btw ?
I live in LA too. Did you use a certain studio in the first segment or was it in an apartment? Just wondering cause I loved the light set-up!
lighthouse studio! we brought all the lights though!
hey linus! what camcorder did your friend used? isit a hi8?
brilliant video as always.. INSPIRATION
LINUS!!! i need to push portra 800 pls help
👀
How did you meter for these studios shots off the highlights of her face right
yeah, i usually meter for the spot with the most light (highlights) and then drop my shutter speed below that to over expose it slightly! will go more in depth in a future video!
Sick photos as usual Linus! How are you properly exposing in the studio? Are you taking an average of the harsh highlights from the projector and the background light?
What's that projection system you were using in studio? Would love to see a video on it.
epson projector and photoshop! i will try to make a video on it soon!
You shot in that low of light and it came out that smooth? I tried with 35mm and the photos where grainy .. I am going to try it in Medium Format 645 and just use longer shutter times with a tripod to over expose a bit.
How to '''push'' the iso to 800.... just setting up the camera or the lightmeter to 800?
what design program is that on your laptop?
photoshop!
yooo i'm sure this is mentioned at some point/in another video. but what lightmeter app is that at 0:50
my light meter pro!
This is dope ! What app were you using on your phone?
Hola) thanks for sharing this video ! In the studio you set 800 but which was your aperture and speed ? thanks
depends on the light there was on my model's face. i floated around f2.8, and 1/60th of a second
dope! what light metering app did you use?
my light meter pro!
What’s the lightmeter?
the app my light meter pro!
cool vid 😎 what light meter app are you using? :)
my light meter pro!
What did you scan these on? I scanned on roll of Gold pushed to 400 on my Frontier and the results were cooked.
What lens did you use for the outside picture 😍?
Pentax 6x7 55mm 3.5 and 90mm 2.8!
so just to understand its not pushing 200 to 800 but PULLING 200 to 800 right? (200 being boxspeed)
Thanks!
hey linus! what's the phone app you're using?
anybody know how the light in the first part is being controlled?
photoshop. just photoshop being output by a projector
@@linusandhiscamera oh damn - so simple yet so cool!!
ok but where did u get that wisconsin shirt i need it asap
a store called Markt here in LA! it is vintage tho so u probably won't have much luck haha
I wonder how he actually pushes 200 color film to 800…
Doesn’t pushing a 200 iso film to 800 mean you are underexposing by 2 stops?
Jup
I liked and unliked this video so I can like it twice.
