embang Lir-ilir was created by Sunan Kalijaga in the early 16th century when the collapse of the Majapahit kingdom and the entry of Islam to the dukes of the Duchy of Majapahit especially on the coast of Java. Lir-ilir song is known as Dolanan song or Central Javanese song, in the lyrics using the word parable which has a double meaning, this reflects the depth of Sunan Kalijaga's knowledge in da'wah. Sunan Kalijaga with the song Lir-ilir tried to invite Javanese people to embrace, believe in, and practice the religion of Islam slowly without crashing into a long-developing tradition. Sunan Kalijaga's efforts emulated the Prophet Muhammad in his da'wah, namely bi al-hikmah wa al-mauidhati al-hasanah.
