She needs laser removal therapy, and then she'll need to get the tattoo reworked to compensate for the "new" line (laser isn't that exact) That's solid as fuck black... this will take multiple, multiple laser sessions to be where it's at to not look like she has a scarf wrapped around her head.
I really hope YMH follows up with tattoo girl like they have those cool guys in the past. It would be so awesome to see that poor girl get help and fix that
If you've every watched Ink Master or are tattooed yourself, you 100% know that tattoo artist will bully you into getting what they want, or what they're capable of doing. Don't let them force you into settling or compromising. Unless you want a bad tattoo or a tattoo you're not happy with.
The artist clearly translated it poorly from the photo but they DID double check with her in all fairness. At that point it's just her fault for being too excited to notice the mistake either.

The artist and client are both at fault, the artist should have either drawn two lines to give her both visuals to see the difference. But the girl either didn't have the balls to say she was unhappy or was too excited that she didn't actually honestly confirm she was happy with the placement. And as someone who has tattooed for 13 years I feel like an the artist who is about change someone's life forever especially in such a drastic body part, that can't be hidden. It's our responsibility to make sure the client understands the impact the tattoo will have on almost every aspect of their lives, and they are truly happy with the design. I have talked people out of or refused to do tattoos that I was positive they would regret. One because instead of owning the bad choice they made, they find ways to blame the artist. Two because I would rather do something I think they will be happy with for the rest of their lives, and three because I have integrity and won't ruin someone's life for a small amount of money compared to what I would make getting a return client and not giving them any excuse to tarnish my reputation with potential new clients.
