- Impressive field trial results are demonstrating the value of virtual fencing to help manage weed control. On a mixed farm enterprise in South Australia cattle have responded well to the technology and sheep are next in line for some online high tech shepherding.

I'm glad they're gonna be testing it on sheep and probably goats since if you want everything wiped out and replaced with fertilizer then those are the critters to do it. I'd like to have some goats for several reasons and a system like this would be perfect. I wonder if it has a feature that would detect odd behavior or give an alert if a goat is either taken outside the area either by predators or a poacher or if a collar is removed?
