Ended up catching my PB and first flathead of my life/season.

When I got my first bait caster I loaded it with cheap line and would practice casting and thumb stopping. Also how to pick a bird nest backlash without cutting line. Buy a casting plug and practice flipping into it even chilling at the camper in a chair
Do not diss tge mini ewg hooks ive caught 2 4+ smallmouth with them my two best smallies came off of finesse soft plastics with smaller hooks than the one in this vid

My dad bought me this a while ago and it works really well! My favorite lure is the little red crank bait. It catches a lot of bass!
That’s is a line for a gator.. you keep your bait out of the water when trying to get gator’s
