first thing I noticed as well.
You can see he is holding his stick reverse side , look at the curve this is a left handed stick .
This was a problem in NHL 10-15

Could you please tell the presentation team that we definitely need the full presentation back for NHL 24 as an option it wouldn't be a bad option if it were available again, especially at the beginning so that you can at least see the goalie statistics again
Including sponsor logos for Ford or Best Buy or Burger King over the skyline.
The fact that the presentation mode was entirely removed from the game and never commented on by EA is wildly frustrating. Would I kill them to not have crappy one angle goal replays and a warm up?
I know what you mean I like the goalie presentations and they cut down on the replays too.
Presentation is a tough sell now days. I'm pro presentation but the game in modern times caters only to the online community who don't want cutscenes and want to get through games as quick as possible because that's where the money comes from
@@mattyork7625 I get what you mean, but that’s why you have the ability to skip cutscenes. 2K has an enormous online community, yet they found the time to actually incorporate 2 entirely different broadcast teams, along with the rest of their amazing in game presentation features.
6:20 The Ai is still very obviously in need of an upgrade. This specific moment where the fastest player in the world Connor McDavid curls off on a breakaway. There’s other things too I notice like when players just stop moving their feet with the puck in the neutral zone and almost pause which is evident at 6:39.
The thing with stopping feet movement on the border of neutral zone is a good thing. Real players often use this to create space from defender, defenseman has to keep up with them and then the player on the puck slows down which creates separation from the defender.
Is the pressure bar removable?
@@radekkubica6089 In theory it makes sense, but in execution the player just turns over the puck from the back pressure of another player like 75% of the time it seems.
Honestly the AI isn't worth freaking out about. We all need to realize that the game can only look and feel good as long as the other human(s) play appropriately.. I would hate to see what the EA team could do if they put all their efforts in upgrading the ai. You can easily control it in a versus match as long as you know how to use the playbooks.
@@Chronic-ASAP105-cx4gmI would rather see the goalies actually make a save. If my opponent forces 90 cross crease passes and scores 8 of rhem..... do the same play over amd over and over but my cpu can't read the play....
The crows sounds so much more immersed in the game which is awesome. They don't just randomly cheer; it seems much more purposeful. Especially when one team would line up a big check and miss, the crowd would gasp and it seems much better than NHL 23. I also think the announcing sounds much more like a tag team effort rather than james cybulski constantly talking and cutting over to his partner like one tiem all period. They seem to be going back and forth and the lady is filling the air time between the whistles which hopefully won't get annoying but also seems good.
Just wish the would give us a new scoreboard honestly getting tired of this scoreboard

This looks terrible.. so choppy and they need to take all the crap off the ice and under the players .. i t looks like a arcade game and the hitting is ridiculous looking .. how does anyone look at this and say its an improvement.. goalie animations looks so off and the boards and goofy looking with only saying what the team is doing .
Can you ask them if there is an option to remove the on ice pressure display? We should be able to tell a team is tired by pinning them in their own zone for a period of time, all of that stuff on the ice looks goofy to me.
Ray was the best EA NHL color-analyst ever, hope he enjoys his leave 😭😭😭

The graphics looks so much better than i thought. They didnt even mention a huge graphical change and all the animations and textures look so much cleaner.

The graphics are much improved imo. I've played the beta and it was the first obvious improvement to me. I thought it was gonna look exactly the same but the improvements to ice/lighting and models are noticably improved. It's hard to tell by these videos but you'll see it on your screen
This gameplay actually looks exactly like any other NHL game, this gameplay is nowhere near the reveal trailer.
Say what you want man. If you don't wanna believe all these content creators word for it then don't. We can see the creators tried their best to make this game feel different. There's only so much you can do in like 250 days. And it will always. "Look" the same. They didnt completely revamp the game. They made a few really cool new features to make the game be played differently.

Ah man, I’m definitely not a hater but I do not like those celly animations. Makes the game look sloppy/cheesy. Nothing better then gaining speed then doing a nice sweep of the ice when you score a big goal
1. Too much focus on Arcade-tackling. Very unrealistic.
2. Goalies diving WAY too much. That will be a big problem if not tuned correctly.
3. Even during full CPU - McDavid with a breakaway and didn’t even try to finish. 6:21

The passing feature has single handedly made me want to own this game! Why they didn't do this years ago is beyond me.
What do you mean? what did they change on that? Also, did they remove the stupidity on when you accidentally call for the pass, but pressed the button twice, so when you get the pass he passes it away down the ice? Please tell me they finally removed that????
@@johnkap5740 It allows you to choose which player you're passing to by clicking a button that appears over their head.
I'm not sure about that feature I didn't see it mentioned but I hope they fixed it.

@JMKGalaxy2 yea I didn't understand that part but I know s** like this would happen when i saw the interview with the devs & the guy literally said "We've made additions without changing our A.I" and I'm looking like why tf wouldn't you change what people complain the most about yearly. But that's why I'm most likely gone buy the game on black Friday or skip this year all together because I don't think this year is worth especially due to the fact the made no changes to offline modes
@@noslipups3657 If I buy it I always buy it around black Friday or sometimes into the next year. I just cant justify paying $90 CAD for the same game every year. I want NHL to be good but quite frankly its been the same thing for like 8 years and only minor improvements since then. Game ships with bugs all the time. New glitches every year. They need to do better for me to pay full price.

I was hoping to see them let us do more post whistle shoving & roughing. It always help set the tone & they even had the old announcer's get into it.. They should have added the refs blowing their whistles a couple times in a row for post play.

They need to bring back the real true broadcast camera! Different true broadcast camera to each stadium!
I'll give credit where credit is due...I think graphically the game does look better & seems a lot smoother but even though the crowd is louder they seem lifeless at the same time. Like the game needs more in game cut scenes. Show the staff running to clean & replace the ice....she the crowd reactions to the glass breaking or pucks going into the crowd like previous titles show the players interacting with each other maybe putting together a strategy or something like that like the replays are good but after the replay of a hit or goal show both players the one that got hit & the one that hit the player maybe have him looking up at the score board.....as far as commentary ray ferro should of stayed & they should of got rid of the guy talking he's terrible...….EDIT: Also Id like to add the this A.I in this game is probably the worst we've seen in years like the plays and the thing's there doing out there as I've watched more and more of this video make absolutely no sense at all

@JM-qn3tf I agree....I think if ea took the time to make a "Flex Cam" then they of definitely invested the time into fixing the team celebrations,player,coach,bench, and crowd reactions. Like I said it does sound alot better and looks alot better but they're constantly skipping things year after year. Like the players don't even go down the line like they use to after a goal that's what should of been for the flex cam. Player scores brief solo celebration, brief team celebrations depending on when the goal was scored obviously more important goals get longer celebrations maybe 10 seconds then show the players gets fist bumps from the bench like the real nhl
Please tell the devs to make all the intros like the maple leafs! All the teams should have a intro like that and not just a logo across the ice…
The music in between whistles is a nice touch, makes the atmosphere feel much more accurate

Player celebrations look so baddddd. If you can skip them than no complaints

Just got a great idea. What if you could do goalie mode. However once in the neutral zone you got control of the player and then when your team lost possession around the neutral zone in went back to goalie mode
Did they fix the issue where phantom controllers would be connected on Xbox? Like when the game thinks you're player 3 and there's no controller vibration.

I wish they would have gone with an all new commentary but James Cyulski’s commentary seems to be somewhat improved than it was in NHL 20. The color commentary is great and I really like the crowd noise upgrades!
I think they should of kept ray & fired James. Also if they were gonna keep him they should of had him record new lines. He's literally saying the exact same thing fron 3 years ago. They just added a women to chime in on what he's saying that's it 🤷🏾
@@noslipups3657James has some new voice lines I heard. Its like fresh air. But some are probably the same. My best option would be to let you choose your commentators in the settings. Ea is a multi billiom dollar compamy. They can afford it.

Not buying this game because Mcdavid was on a clear breakaway then stopped, turned around and lost the puck.
Also when Draisaitl scored it instantly went to a custscene right as the puck crosses the line and then it shows TJ Brodie on the highlight section instead of Draisaitl. And to top it off Brodie slammed his stick right into Samsonovs mask. This game is a complete mess, once again another year of stealing people’s money

He redirected it basically, I know for a fact, because that animation happens when a player puts it in their own net. It most likely showed him because he scored on his own net technically.

i think this is the only sports sim game I've ever seen where the AI actually fight, not even in the NFL Madden series will you get that, and football is arguably the most common occurrence of it.
Right off the bat the game sounds are on point. Very nice

i hope they work on the crowd for home team goals, just the timing of when everyone jumps is key, and the post noise shouldn’t just be a ping, it should also make a deeper noise, like a “clunk” then a roar of fans. also a
C-cut option for skating would be nice, like instead of coasting or full on skating, you can hold a button and your skater will make a more puck control skating animation with no lifting of the blades off the ice
I’ll be honest I’m not excited at all for nhl 24 and I don’t think I will buy. That being said I’m really excited to watch your franchise modes once this is released!!! I have more loyalty to my man Tac than EA who have disappointed me every year since chel 14

this is such a small detail, buy do the leafs uniforms in these games get darker and darker? from the high camera angle they look almost black. I just dont get why they constantly get darker when theyre so bright irl

I wish the pre game intro was better, like in nhl 08 when youd see your team come out of the tunnel and sit on the bench or warm up, also the goalie warmups. And lastly can we PLEASE get the winter classics back!

I love the crowd intensity. But I dislike the initial goal celebration, and the contact collision is still off, I seen a stick go right threw the boards.

I'm typing as I'm watching. First, the new commentator, don't know her name, but so far I like her. New commentators/lines alone freshen up part of the gameplay experience. The pressure system I think can maybe help those situations I've seen people post about where they have all the possession but lose like 4-3 because the opponent had 5 shots, four going in. It hopefully will reward keeping the puck, cycling, rather than only rush, rush, rush. Still iffy, but gameplay isn't terrible for sure.
New colour commentary is Cheryl pounder I met her in my city when we had the esso cup she was here for tsn televising it she works with tsn and knows a lot about hockey
