it only counts when AEW can open it
Why would we assume that Tony wouldn’t know about the GCW show prior to its public announcement?
Tony Klown allows his guys to shit about the Mcmahons or wwe, but as soon as something is said about him he throws a temper tantrum
So Tony is mad at the dad paying to stay away comment but is that not exactly what Tony is doing to the wrestlers who he won't release or use? Paying them to stay away.
If Starks wants out , show up at gcw and get yourself released for not listening to Tony Khan
26:54 There is no way that Dave Meltzer has ever won any awards for writing after having listened to that. The fact that he was ever in journalism school is mind-boggling.
I actually think Starks is too good for NXT. Lord knows Jade Cargill needs it
"Ian Rotten should have done a run in" - Jim Cornette
If a promotion doesn't blow AEW like Meltzer does, Tony gets mad and use his money and influence to make people look bad. He did with GCW now, but in the past, AAA became a target (this is why you don't see Vikingo anymore).
I have actually liked that kid since the first time I saw him in NWA before the Pandemic.
That's where I first saw him. I was impressed.
@@natebaxter9551You & me both.
I can't be the only one thinking Cody is calling Ricky telling him to be patient and that he will get him another job ASAP.
Free Ricky Starks!
The upstairs is the GRAND BALLROOM. The main ground level huge space is the Hammerstein Ballroom. The entire complex is called The Manhattan Center and was once a Grand Freemasons Temple.
If it's a good wrestling interview then you know it was CVV.
Remember that this Effy guy was also the dude trying to do a David Carradine while he was on a choke hold during a match with Moxley
His gimmick is ridiculous. He’s there for “shock value” that shocks no one. I’m honestly surprised Tony never brought him into AEW, he fits Tony’s indie-riffic style perfectly.
Wasn't that the match where he and Moxley were kissing each other?
David Carradine? To quote Cornette himself, "Oh, good Lord."
@@brenthenshaw3585yes.
@@brenthenshaw3585Wait, wtf??
Even better was when Drew McIntyre released a picture of him and Jack Perry on his social media...of course, Perry might have gotten away with it because most people would have wondered who the heck was the kid next to Drew.
The comment was so stiff that Tony probably feared for his life for a few hours.
Ricky Starks should still appear at the GCW show and say "I did it for free since AEW is already paying me to doing nothing. I want to wrestle!"
I'm a mark for Starks! #FreeRicky
About to do a bunch of cooking and cleaning up the kitchen this will be great to listen to
The Manhattan center is the building. The hammerstein is the large ballroom and the grand ballroom was the smaller
Been waiting to hear this from Jim's perspective! Corny calls it straight.
If I'm not mistaken, Penta was injured, and had injury time added to his contract time, so they extended Fenix's contract as well, because they were both supposed to be leaving together (since they're brothers).
I would imagine them being a tag team was more important than them being brothers.
@@BobHowler Well, yeah. They're a package deal.
@@brenthenshaw3585I'd imagine so. It would be like hiring one Hardy without the other. Who the hell would do that?
Oh...
Imagine persisting with Jon Moxley and not using Ricky Starks.
Did Starks knock up Tony's sister and skip town or something? 😂
Damn,I just got into work. Looks like I have to wait until the end of my shift to listen to this
Stupid question here: If Starks goes and wrestles for GCW, is it possible for him to get released due to breaking the contract?
i think that ricky inter view was from chris van vilet's channel
Wait, was Effy the guy who touched himself whle Moxley was choking him?
Yes
Give Chris Van Vliet his credit
Tony Clown won't let Ricky Starks attend GCW events, yet Tony has no issue letting a convicted felon Nick Gage wrestle on Dynamite?! A little hypocritical don't you think?🙄🤔
Brit Baker was on WWE TV while under contract to AEW.
CVV x Jim Cornette interview! Book it, Brian!!!
I said this previously, AEW is basically just Tony's dad paying Money for people to be friends with Tony and keep him out if the way 😂😂
"Here's your allowance son, now go outside and play"
Cant wait for the 520k ratongs of dynamite its odd if dynamite is winning against nxt they reveal the next day the ratings if not its late for 4 freaking days
Example why, Tony should stop communicating with uncle Dave and communicate with his freaking wrestlers and stuff
This effy guy shot one hell of a promo there..
FYI: The building itself where the Hammerstein Ballroom is in is called the Manhattan Center and the ballroom where RAW was first produced is actually called the Grand Ballroom. I've been there numerous times and have been backstage learning the history of the building and how they get the stage equipment up to the Hammerstein Ballroom which is upstairs from the Grand Ballroom.
Yeah Brain Last doesn’t know who CCV is
7:04 I can't take Cornette's criticism of Melo seriously, especially since he thought Roderick Strong was some main event talent.😂
In ROH. There's a difference, and Cornette will be the first to say it.
@@natebaxter9551Melo was the prototypical indie guy who could have worked in that era of ROH. Cornette's criticism of Melo is always out of bounds and was totally uncalled for here.
Melo is bland without a heater or a coward underling at the moment. True him and Andrade had a best of 7 series but he needs someone that he can lead like a young hbk had.
The recent Josh Barnett Bloodsport show had both WWE and AEW wrestlers working at the same show.
CM Punk's prints were all over that promo Starks and Bill cut, about not being friends, not knowing each other but still winning championships.
I believe Shayna Baszler worked with Bloodsport recently and I believe someone else from WWE made an appearance in GCW or something. And someone from GCW is part of the WWE ID program too. There might be something there, some sort of relationship in the works.
It’s crazy that nobodys like Wheeler Yuta, Jack Perry and Daniel Garcia are on our tvs every single week but Ricky Starks has been sitting at home.
The best aew program- collision with ftr vs bullet club gold for an hour. The main event? Ricky Starks vs CM Punk.
This guy has been criminally underutilized his whole AEW run. He can talk, he can work and he's done both well as a babyface, heel, tag and single but you only ever get to see him 6 weeks at a time in throwaway feuds.
🍿 I was waiting for this
I love GCW and I love Jim Cornette 🤝
For anyone wanting to listen, it’s a CVV Interview. And a good one.
To be fair there's a big difference between Tony Khan booking a venue and original Ring of Honor. I think it's definitely possible for Tony to get it fastracked.
Carmelo Hayes would be in the top 5 most interesting wrestlers in AEW.
Jim is one of the lucky many who's never seen Effy wrestle.
Tony Coke is truly the most thin-skinned Richie Rich. Ultimately his legacy will be the biggest and dumbest money mark in wrestling history. He’s done enough damage to the Jags and Fullham that even after Shad paid to distract him away, both organizations are still fucked
Uuuuh. I’ve been waiting for this one. 😁👍
5:09 starts the reaction
40 minutes? We eating good! I was waiting for this!
Ricky, please...PLEASE fucking take Wardlow with you! That man deserves better, too!
Plus Hobbs and Miro as well. Those 4 should have been the "four pillars."
Completely agree with both of. All 4 of those guys need to get out of AEW
CREDIT FOR INTERVIEW Chris van vliet
Finally something worth listening!
Ricky - one more guy being paid by Tony for doing NOTHING & staying home. Ricky will be a Superstar, just wait & see. He just needs to go to WWE.
