- I haven't gotten as much reading done in July as I'd hoped, but I thought I'd take you on my walk to the library here in Juneau Alaska and tell you about my month, anyway!

This was possibly my most favorite video so far. It would be so fun to go book shipping and chat books with you via YT! And IRL, cough cough. 😘
Digging into The Snow Child as per your rec & wondering if I'm gonna be able to put it down or if I'm gonna read all night! 💓
Without suitcases this time! 💗 I'm glad you liked it!
I just have to say it. You're always great and I get to hear your beautiful voice and see your smile. I could be predugist...but this lovely woman is my great neice.
Love you, Aunt Joy! 💗
I so identify with the fact that you get better with reading aloud over time. Our first chapter series as read aloud was The Borrowers. That was a couple years ago, and now we are almost complete with Return of the King! There is NO WAY I could have started out with Tolkien. We are doing Peter Pan next year ;).
Yes! It surprised me how difficult it was at the beginning! Reading children's literature no less! But it's a different skill. And I will love to read Tolkien to mine! So far the oldest has just read LotR and the Hobbit to himself.
