    Wow cant believe how ignorant I was. Your video opened my eyes on how to fix my odyssey. My battery had died and when I went to jump it off the horn kept blowing. So I removed the fuse not realizing it would effect gear shifter. Thanks for your video

    I was working on an '14 accord and forgot that it had removed a fuss while looking for a good fuse to jump off of for a foglight trigger wire. Went to go move the car, no Bueno. Found your vid, went into the panel and found the fuse I forgot to put back!

  • @SonnyIbibo
    @SonnyIbibo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    The 20A fuse is responsible for the HORN & STOP. So for safety reasons, the car should not move, because it appears there is an issue with the brake system. That is what I think happened.

    Hey! Easy video, but I’d like to add if your fuse popped double check the brake lights and horn, something is causing a short. For me it was a dead brake light in one of the tail lights. Replaced the bulb and the fuse and now it works.

      Yeah any element with the circuit cause a short circuit.

    On problem solving generally:
    Sometimes the solution to a problem is so simple and straightforward that once the person trying to solve the problem hits on the solution they will often have the reaction or response that how come it took them so long to figure it out! The reason was, oftentimes they weren't thinking what the solution could be. In that case, whenever it's like that the best thing to do is to think sufficiently well first before any further action to get to that all important Eureka moment.
    It is bar none, always better to refer to authentic and original manufacturers literature or read up on the possible solutions or solution sets first before making any attempt of remedial action correspondingly.
    So, always think carefully through first.
    If in doubt, always better to consult a qualified professional regardless of subject or topic in area of professionalism that we would care to discuss or consider.
    If in doubt always stop and think first before performing any consecutive action.
    Manufacturers guidelines and specifications are always as they are exactly for a good reason.
    Hope this helps and I wish you a good day!

      @@beatrizmejia3685 that fuse is marked HORN & STOP. So if it is broken, the the car's movement will be drastically hampered.

      Maybe not the fuse, you should check the gear shift knob. I have a video fixing the knob. search for it and see it will help fix your issue.

    This is a temporary fix as there is probably something wrong with a sensor(TPS) most likely. It locks you out to keep you from driving it as a bad TPS can cause the vehicle to drive erratically.

    • @SonnyIbibo
      @SonnyIbibo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you @Kimo.
      In my case, the fuse was cut by short from the Horn circuit.

      Do you have an OBDII scanner!?
      You may want to scan the tranny for DTC.
      The cause may be any of the clutch pressure control solenoids.

    Do you think using the break can trigger this?

    • @SonnyIbibo
      @SonnyIbibo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No.
      It is a sort of safety system in the car. Sort of ' if the brake is bad, the car should never move'

    I was driving my Honda accord 2006 going to the office yesterday, suddenly the car started Reving up though my foot was on the turtle and the car stopped moving further. What startled me was that, the gear stick is still engaged in D1 and the car stopped moving. I put off the engine, allowed some minutes, then restarted the engine, the car started moving and stopped after driving for some minutes. I later, engaged the car in reverse, it responded by reversing the car. So it does till now and I managed to parked it in the office. please help. Taiwo.

    • @SonnyIbibo
      @SonnyIbibo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apart from the Reverse R & D1, did you try other positions? say D & 2. If D2 & R acts as D1, chances are that the issue may be fluid rather than electronic. Check the texture of the Tx fluid.
