The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. With friendship Rui Baptista

Ikanaide means „Don't go“ and was composed in 1989 by the Japanese singer-songwriter and actor Koji Tamaki. The lyrics were written by Goro Matsui. In the same year, this song was borrowed from a Chinese-Japanese TV series called Farewell, Lixianglan. This series is about the true story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a Japanese woman born in China. She made a career as an actress and singer in China during WWII and therefore had to hide her Japanese origins and was known there under the name Li Hsiang-Ian. When her true origin was revealed at the end of WWII, she was charged with espionage and was sent back to Japan, where she continued her acting career.
The Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung changed the song to Cantonese and called it Lixianglan. Later in 1993 it was adapted into Chinese Mandarin and called Late Autumn or Autumn Strong. However, the lyrics and therefore the meaning of the song were changed.
Dimash sang Autumn Strong in The Singer competition in China in 2017. It was the 4th performance of the show and it was the very first time he sang a song in Mandarin.
    Autumn Strong: th-cam.com/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/w-d-xo.html
This song is sooo beautiful❤️. And he performed it with so much emotions. You literally can feel his pain😪. His first song in Japanese. He has been invited to perform at the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021. But he couldn't go to Japan because of Covid. So he had to sing it from his studio in China. There he took part in the show Shine! Super Brothers. I’m not sure but I think it was his studio in China. But I do know he got a studio as a gift for his birthday.
If the Japanese reactors are to be believed, Dimash sang in perfect Japanese. Some also claimed that it was better Japanese than many Japanese themselves😅.
He sang the same song but with different lyrics on the competition show "The Singer" in China in 2017 titled "Autumn Strong". And this song has a sad backstory. This was his first song in Mandarin. He was so young there. But I like Ikanaide more than Autumn Strong.
    Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

I was living & working in Japan in the 90s, and Tamaki-san's song was one of my favorites to listen to, and to sing at karaoke. The Japanese aren't lying when they comment on the pronunciation here. Dimash spent much time not only on the pronunciation, but also studying the nuance of the Japanese language. His delivery is exquisite, and all my friends in Japan, with whom I've shared the link to this performance, have all fallen in love with this Dimash song.

Yes, for him it is always important to know exactly what a song is about in order to perform it the right way. I can't imagine how much work and dedication he must have put into it. Born to a famous professional, Tessitura Soprano mother and a famous Pop Singing Father, the course of Dimash's life was cast. His ability appeared before the age of 5 at which time he began the journey to becoming the greatest vocal stylist of our time. We can teach people to be better singers but it would be cruel to make anyone believe reaching this level can be achieved without many things aligning. It is a lifetime of total commitment.

The fabulous thing with this song is, he sang it for years in Chinese, learned the Japanese for this presentation, NAILED IT, and now sings it in both languages at shows. Like literally switches in the middle or the choruses. I know the camera work makes it seem pre-recorded, but it was streamed live and then they edited the camera work afterwards. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this and all your knowledge with us! Edited to add, thanks for running it all the way through first. Any vocal coach or pro singer that analyzed this, was like OMG wait! And paused every 2 seconds, lol. Can't blame them at all, but they miss the flow and emotions

@@ananovak1468 Dimash released a short not too long ago showing some high kicks and saying that he was planning to get back into taekwondo. He had been taking taekwondo lessons for several years when he was younger but gave it up because of concerns over injuries that would interfere with his singing. Be With Me was released several years earlier so the video showing him practicing could not have been in preparation for the Be With Me video.

I always point out that while his vocal range is incredible, what's most impressive is what he can do with is voice in each of those registers. Great analysis of his voice, but I found one thing you didn't mention. Many times, at the end of a phrase, it sounds like the note has ended, but if you listen carefully, you can hear it continue... often to the beginning of the next phrase. It's one of his qualities that quite often goes unnoticed.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. In an interview between Goro Matsui, co-writer with Koji Tamaki, and the Dimash Japanese Fan Club featured in the DimashNews site's article on this song, he commented on Dimash's singing of the repeated phrase "Ahhh Ikanaide"... "Although they are the same exact words, each line has a different meaning. I feel that Dimash seems to knowing it.” Dimash indeed captured the emotions of this song. Just beautiful ❣️❤️❤️❤️

Dimash expressed hundreds of shades of emotions to the phrase don't leave, from gentle to desperate.

Cape Town Dear: I only discovered Dimash a few weeks ago, and I haven’t stopped watching his TH-cam Channel and shared it with my circles. I love the commentary of professional singers and voice coaches on Dimash’s vocals. He sings form his heart and soul with Raw Emotion. Dimash doesn't just sing; he feels the music and projects his emotions to the listener. His performances are full of emotion and passion, and you can hear and experience this in every note or octave he hits in each register. Whether it's joy, pain, love, or hope, Dimash connects with the story behind each song, he connects with your soul and transmits it from soul to soul. Dimash is otherworldly, in my 64 years on this planet I have never experienced and felt the emotions like I do when I hear his voice. His deep emotional connection with each performance is why it feels so personal and unforgettable. Dimash's voice spans an impressive 8 octaves (the whistle that he did a few years ago is off the music scale) allowing him to reach notes that are unique, rare, ethereal, and otherworldly. He is a true Crystal Child (google crystal children) and angelic, no other explanation for Dimash’s GENIUS, he is a PRODIGY and PHENOMENON.

Awesome analysis! Love how detailed you explain his voice. 😊❤
When Dimash sang The pearl fisher’s duet with Plácido Domingo, he sang the tenor part but sounded like a baritone. And Domingo sang the baritone part and sounded like a tenor. 😂
It was awesome, especially since they had so little time to prepare it. (Only one or two days, since it was a spontaneous decision. And Dimash hadn’t sung pure opera for a very long time.)

He himself keeps saying that his vocal range is not important, it is just an instrument that he can use. What you say is important to him, the correct expression of the song, a certain mood to capture us and take us into the world of music or the specific piece of music. And I think he does that brilliantly.
I have also made the mistake of referring too much to his vocal range when I talk about him, but that doesn't really do him justice, because he is so much more than that.
    Thanks for the great response.

Thank you for your reaction Tim! 🙌 Kōji Tamaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter of Ikanaide and Dimash performed a previous version in Chinese called Autumn strong th-cam.com/video/FXQ58U-Eddg/w-d-xo.html this song is based in a true story about Yoshiko Yamaguchi who was born in China, hid her japanese heritage under a chinese name, became very loved. After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a japanese spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched.
Dimash is a master of the story-telling, his voice makes you feel deep emotions and takes you there where that song happened. Beautiful!! A Japanese reactor mentioned that his softness with the hard consonants is a function of how well Dimash understands and has learned the mechanics (tongue and jaw placement) of the Japanese language. It's something very difficult for native English speakers to do. ❤️🎤🔝🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏👏

Thanks for the great reaction to Dimash. Dimash sang いかないで=IKANAIDE in near perfect Japanese with a lot of emotions and sadness 🌸🌸. I couldn't believe that Dimash doesn't speak Japanese 😲 Most none Japanese speaking people pronounce our language too hush especially our consonants. Dimash is amazing 😍🤩
In 1989, IKANAIDE was sung by Koji Tamaki(original singer) and Yoshiko Yamaguchi cried listening to it in Japan.
FYI: IKANAIDE was a true story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi. She was a Chinese born Japanese actress in WW2 ara. She was deported to Japan after the war.
lKANAIDE means Please don't go away. DE is pleasing for something or to someone in Japanese.
Please keep reacting to Dimash. Next one is Sinful Passion👍

  • @LinMonash
    @LinMonash 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Exactly. Dimash has said it's not about his range. That he regards his voice as just one more instrument he uses 'in service of' the story of the song that he is trying to 'paint'.
I think he does better than 'try' - don't you?! 😊
And, yes, his National Opera Company offered him a prestigious place with them at the end of his undergrad music studies, but Dimash respectfully declined this in favour of the freedom to explore creatively across all genres. However, he does still step (seamlessly) back into a bit of opera from time to time, as we saw in Ti Amo Cosi, and his more recent collaboration with the great Placido Domingo.

Oh so excited to see you react to Ikanaide. You are awesome. I watch Ikanaide every day. It touches my heart. 😢
In my opinion to truly experience Dimash, his Kazakh songs are essential. He welcomes us to his native land that he holds dear and bears his soul. If interested, suggest learning backstories, subtitles, and experience Samaltau (at same Tokyo Jazz Festival as Ikanaide); Qairan Elim (directed by Dimash, filmed in Kazakhstan); Qaragym-ai (in honor of beloved mentor who died during Covid and was the composer); Omir (composed and lyrics by Dimash for his Dears). ❤

If you play Ikanaide and Autumn Strong next to each other, they show his musical mastery at the end. The humming ending is a bridge (almost a duet) from the vocalist to the solo instrument. In Ikanaide it's a cello, so he drops down into his low baritone, matching his tone and notes to the cello. In Autumn Strong it's a violin, so his humming rises up into his upper tenor range, matching tone and notes to the violin. Stunning.
