Yea for that kind of paste you just press the heatsink on and it expands out by itself, you only need to use the applicator for the less viscous thermal pastes.
Gaeuvyen i still use dot method even with less viscous pastes the heat will make it spread to where it needs to go anyway using an applicator just causes bubbles
RubiixCat nope. My PC cost 450 bucks and outperforms the PS4. Games are much much much cheaper, no subscription. I've literally saved thousands of dollars being a PC gamer. I could show you my build if you're interested, my misinformed friend.
Totally Harmless Unfortunately because of the amount of optimization that goes into console games because of the uniform specifications (One of the only pluses related to their hardware) I would say they could either come to or outperform you on most titles on both platforms. ***** Cable management isn't solely for making your build look nice, it maximizes airflow and can allow you to bring your speeds down lower (which in this case would be helpful). You are completely wrong about the MOBO, dual channel memory is always installed every other DIMM hence the color coding. Putting a pea-sized dab in the middle is the proper way to apply thermal paste and again, maximizes performance and cooling.
This is by far the most masterful way to build a PC I have ever seen. The way Jordan handles the motherboard could be compared to a surgeon. The dexterity of movement is immaculate. The smooth, precise application of the thermal paste was very well done. His knowledge of the inner workings of the PC is clearly extensive. Very simply, Jordan is a master of the PC. If anyone asks me how to build a PC, I would immediately and without hesitation refer them to this video, which is the diamond of all PC build tutorials.
Yep,if you get a dual channel kit,I.E. every kit you can buy pretty much, you are supposed to put them into the same colored slots so that they can run in dual channel mode. Not anything catastrophic though.
Demon1Robe Yeah, imagine how overpriced that 2400mhz ram was. If he cared enough to buy the bigger number frequency, he may as well install it properly. And holy shit, that thermal paste. He's lucky it didn't spread off the chip and onto components

♛ Eagle ♛ well it might cause airbubbles, but when you tighten the cpu cooler on it would remove most of them, and during heating and cooling the thermal paste will spread evenly

kootra Jordan, I am very disappointed in this PC build....you should have this down to a science for how many PC's you've built. First you put the cpu paste on all wrong and then you put the ram in all wrong! If your only going to use 2 ram slots, you're supposed to go every other slot (matching colors). JORDAN PLEASE!!!!! I hope you fixed it after or are going to fix it because otherwise this won't run nearly as good as it should.

JORDAN I LOVE YOU HAHAHAH! The thermal paste and ram might have been a bit.... Messy.... But whatever you made a sick ass PC for Kevin to enjoy. LOVE YOU GUYS! :D
Everything you did wrong: 1.) Holding the motherboard against on your clothing. You can generate statitc electricty and fry it. 2.) Removing the motherboard stickers. Just leave them there man, they're not hurting anything. 3.) You installed the heatsink before you mounted the motherboard in the case. It's much eaiser to install the backplate once it's inside. 4.) You applied the thermal paste in the most piss poor way I have ever seen. You only need to apply a pea sized drop. 5.) You installed the memory wrong. Check the motherboard maunual to learn the best configuration. 6.) I noticed the standoff are not pre-installed in that case. I really hope you installed the standoffs or you will fry your motherboard. 7.) The holes in the motherboard tray are not for show, they are for cable managment. Use them. 8.) You plugged the CPU power into the wrong port. The bottom port is there for overclockers who need more power. The top is the best to keep cables out of the way. 9.) The grinding you hear is a cable caught in a fan. Always be sure cables are away from the fan blades. You can sever cables this way. How this monstrosity was able to post is beyond me. You ignorant, rich, manchild; do not "yolo" through a build just to entertain your even more so ignorant subscriber base. You could have destroyed $1000.00+ in hardware.
he was plating around the whole time, also he knows how to setup/build or no one would use the computers he creates, or they wouldn't last as long as they do.
They're working on getting him the required paperwork so he can move to Colorado. Because he's British, he can't just move here. He basically has to get permission from the US Government.
why did you put the ram in both single channel, if you put them in dual channel (same colors) they would run waaaay faster and actually take advantage of the 2400mhz
Find it difficult to see any adult finding Kevin funny. He's forcing humour on everything and is just childish. I bet the average creature fan loves him tho as they probably are around 15 years old.
Why get a big case like that and not use an AIO liquid cooler like the h100i? Also Jordan put the RAM in the wrong slots for it to be running in dual channel mode. And what graphics card(s) are in the computer?
Every comment is literally a paragraph or two of what Jordan did wrong. Shut up and let him have his pc building time. Everyone makes mistakes, people saying he failed and crap, Can you do better?
The issue is this very expensive rig is not assembled properly. Yes, it booted. a chimp could build a rig that gets that far, we just watched it. Huge problem is the ram placement. the cables and paste are meh. and yes, iv built several rigs that would put this to shame. if you would be ok with this job, good on ya fool
not placing motherboard on anti-static bag, abysmal thermal place application(arctic silver 5 tho), and terrible cable management. 10/10 better than I could do.
ThoseJerseyGamers The outside of the bags are designed to conduct static electricity. Putting electronics on it like a motherboard is a bad idea. The box would do fine
I've never build a pc but I can see massive mistakes here....Honestly I thought watching this would help me learn how to build a pc...oh well back to LinusTechTips
1. Cable Management is a thing. Improves airflow and right side panel is there for literally that reason. 2. Ram is designed to run in matching slots hence why the slots are color coded. Will it work the way u did it, yes but can cause timing problems. 3. You invest in a great motherboard, case, etc and yet don't Overclock. Free performance why wouldn't you.
they get a ROG gaming OC motherboard and run it on stock clocks..... he put the ram in the wrong slots.......they are colour matched for a reason..... *cringe* im sorry jordon but my inner nerd is facepalming so much xD and 850 watt psu for a 970 overkill x 100 someone help me....
MrDisgruntledGamer1 Yes it is. It's not just your hands but your body. Static electricity and small charges can still run throughout your body. It's a good idea to "ground" yourself before touching components. If you don't then there's a chance you can damage/ shorten the life of a component. By all means if Jordan had Grounded himself before the build then its fine but its better to be safe then sorry. $7 for a wrist strap could save you a few hundred.
SilverrrV2 It's really only necessary if you live in a place where there may be large static build up. Just touching you computer case should be fine to discharge. MrDisgruntledGamer1 Pretty sure static can build up anywhere on your body lol
Puri Tech Yeah, well i'm around furry pet and pretty much my whole house is carpet etc. So I'm pretty much at risk, So seeing this gets my jimmies rustled. XD
Puri Tech I know that but i really almost almost never experience static electricity on my hands, EVER. Its been years since ive shocked anyone with my hands.
I would like a how to when you make a new computer with the items you used and what they do for the computer and the specs of the computer when your done
I can't fit the hyper 212 evo in my case so will putting 5 fans in (2 intake and 3 out) compensate for that and cool the parts down as the hyper would but as effectively?
i connected my cpu fan speeds to my controller knobs on the case that it came with. ( i have the same case) just y it off the cpu fan 3 prong plug in. perfect fan speed controls right on top of the case.
Yeah... Think I'll have mine pre-built
GG, Dex.
gg
Sorry Dex, it's mandatory!
Think you should do that too. Damn, no mercy on that cpu and damn that poor cable management haha
A wise man indeed.
the way he put that thermal paste on hurt my soul
At least he didn't use a paper towel to rub it around.
Yea for that kind of paste you just press the heatsink on and it expands out by itself, you only need to use the applicator for the less viscous thermal pastes.
Blotse they probably did in the jump cut!
Gaeuvyen i still use dot method even with less viscous pastes the heat will make it spread to where it needs to go anyway using an applicator just causes bubbles
Caspir That part made me cringe.
after years of pc building knowledge, I know one thing. Jordan put the RAM in single channel rather than Dual Channel
I just noticed this aswell

pft, you dont need that garbage. Those are all myths
Also, pretty sure ram isn't in dual channel now...
um yeah, it's dual channel, only the 2011 socket has quad channel
TheNerdyCanadian Sure, but usually you alternate slots, red and black, for dual channel.
VeeDees Productions it's Kootra, i don't think he knows that, he's too obsessed with cats

Jordan why

i'm in love with jordan's cable management right there

If hes lucky he might find some labyrinths in there.
Jordan, you only need about a rice grain worth of thermal paste. Thank you...
(This message from the "God Dammit Jordan! STOP" foundation)
The way he put on the thermal paste made me cringe...
JORDAN I LOVE YOU HAHAHAH! The thermal paste and ram might have been a bit.... Messy.... But whatever you made a sick ass PC for Kevin to enjoy. LOVE YOU GUYS! :D
After watching the build my only thought was 'If this is how Jordan builds a PC I don't even want to think about how the others would do it"
Everything you did wrong:
1.) Holding the motherboard against on your clothing.
You could have destroyed $1000.00+ in hardware.
damn, you're angry as fuck lmaoo. You should care more about yourself rather than how some guy you dont know builds computers
Lol you know theyre probably just doing this for entertainment perposes right?
Goodness. You should do a how to vid for computer builds. It'd be helpful for people who want to learn.
what he said anyone who spends 2 hours learning how to build a computer knows, just look it up on youtube
he was plating around the whole time, also he knows how to setup/build or no one would use the computers he creates, or they wouldn't last as long as they do.

So, what ever happened to Dex?
he died
Zoe Thompson rip in peace 2014-2014
He's in England
Zoe Thompson
of herpes
They're working on getting him the required paperwork so he can move to Colorado. Because he's British, he can't just move here. He basically has to get permission from the US Government.
why did you put the ram in both single channel, if you put them in dual channel (same colors) they would run waaaay faster and actually take advantage of the 2400mhz
Could someone tell me what parts they got for Kevin's Computer?
ITS NOT SINGLE CHANNEL MEMORY WHY DID YOU INSTALL IT THAT WAY
Find it difficult to see any adult finding Kevin funny. He's forcing humour on everything and is just childish. I bet the average creature fan loves him tho as they probably are around 15 years old.
You really think any adults find PewDiePie funny? And yet he has the most subs on TH-cam. Childish humor is hilarious and awesome.
I am 22 and i like Kevin.
Jordan is worse. He thinks he is funny but he is just annoying.
TheAllstar22 and what are you 16?
Gosia Cegiełka I'm actually 26 but yeah.
Jordan has a really interesting wedding ring. I smile whenever I see it, young married people are freaking cute.
I love it when you guys do pc builds
coming back to this after I'm able to build my pc he built that so poorly
My heart sank when koots didn't put the ram on dual channel... I can't watch no more
Disliked for the incorrect RAM installation..
"I can't install the operating system without a CD drive!"
...They do know you can install an OS from a USB, right?
I love the ROG BIOS layout. I got an ROG board myself, and there's seriously nothing you can't do with it :)
Kootra's always putting wires next the fan. KOOTRA YOU HAD ONE JOB! You've done this two times already. Make your Father proud!
Thermal paste? Is he trying to melt the computer?
(Payday reference?)
I dont get how to computer.
Way too much thermal paste. You need about 1/4 to 1/3 of that.
Boozy Aleks Yeap, Just pea size.
Boozy Aleks Yeah and it'll spread by the heatsink being pushed down.
he don't know how to install ram
2 rams are supposed to install slot/ram/slot/ram
*2 rams'
Valzu pelaa that just allows for more flow... It doesn't matter with all the cooling equipment they had...
k
+Trik Prestige No, it would allow for dual channel instead of single channel...
Two things i would like to ask:
1.Does anyone have the written out spec of this pc?
2. Where did Jordan get the training butterfly knife?
Yes, most people in the comment section can.
BOONDOCKVERITAS I wouldn't but still let him enjoy this.
Yeah we could do better, plus this is Kevin's pc, so it's kind of rude for him to screw around.
BOONDOCKVERITAS He'll most likely fix it probably just screwed around for laughs.
not placing motherboard on anti-static bag, abysmal thermal place application(arctic silver 5 tho), and terrible cable management. 10/10 better than I could do.
I could throw those computer parts out a window and it would come out better than he did. lol
to my knowledge and plenty of people on r/buildapc, putting the mobo on the anti-static bag is a bad idea
Frankly it really doesnt matter as long as you just put it on anything that isnt fabric
I'm a noob at PC building and I may make one soon so I have to ask,why shouldn't I put the Motherboard on fabric?
ThoseJerseyGamers The outside of the bags are designed to conduct static electricity. Putting electronics on it like a motherboard is a bad idea. The box would do fine
I've never build a pc but I can see massive mistakes here....Honestly I thought watching this would help me learn how to build a pc...oh well back to LinusTechTips
i always love watching the builds but i wonder where they get the money
Why is the cpu fan so fast? Idk maybe because the thermal paste was put on wrong and the cpu is cooking itself.
Dude, the ram...
Dude, cable management...
Dude, Don't spread the thermal paste.
Dude, Zalman...
MrGlorifiedCake zalman is great stfu
Thermal paste application 2/10. Must put more and spread it more.
Dude I was joking MMORAMPAGE XD
His thermal paste application is horrible he put too much and speed it around so I was just making fun of it
Spread*
+MMORAMPAGE Yeah, you obviously cannot detect sarcasm.
porunohoshi Lol
that thermal paste technique kootra used made me cringe hardcore.
Can you guys possibly post the whole specs and such? I'm in the market for a new GAMUR PEECEE.
they get a ROG gaming OC motherboard and run it on stock clocks.....
he put the ram in the wrong slots.......they are colour matched for a reason.....
*cringe* im sorry jordon but my inner nerd is facepalming so much xD and 850 watt psu for a 970 overkill x 100
someone help me....
The cable management was very very cringe worthy as well.
Jordan... Jordan... JORDAN. Anti Static wrist strap... Please. This hurts to watch.
lol is that a real thing? hands dont usually gain static electricity
Its been years since ive shocked anyone with my hands.
the way he put that Thermal paste on gave me cringes
or rather the amount he put on made me want to drink bleach
I would like a how to when you make a new computer with the items you used and what they do for the computer and the specs of the computer when your done
Where can I get the parts and how much in total would they cost? I'm thinking of building a new PC and it would probably help to know.
The Creatures can make an entertaining video out of anything.
what trick was that with your balisong at the beginning, and what type is it?
I can't fit the hyper 212 evo in my case so will putting 5 fans in (2 intake and 3 out) compensate for that and cool the parts down as the hyper would but as effectively?
i connected my cpu fan speeds to my controller knobs on the case that it came with. ( i have the same case) just y it off the cpu fan 3 prong plug in. perfect fan speed controls right on top of the case.
can we get the parts list...ya know we would like to build this our self yea?
Kootra i want to build a gaming pc and was wondering if you could please email me a list of parts you used for Kevin's pc
Why did he not put the ram in the 2 black slots, that computer is gonna have some issues now since it don't have the pair installed correctly
Can someone give me the exact details on each single part? I may wanna rebuild a computer like that.
Can someone please tell me all the pc parts they had in this vid, im new to pc building but i would like to get the exact same pc as Kevin
why didn't they use a pre-made water cooling kit. from corsair? mines quite and it works really well
