Description: "Joy to the World" is an English Christmas carol. It was written in 1719 by the English minister and hymnwriter Isaac Watts, and its lyrics are a Christian reinterpretation of Psalm 98. The carol is usually sung to an 1848 arrangement by the American composer Lowell Mason.

Fun Fact: this song was actually written about the second coming of Christ, not his birth
It’s actually both
It's an advent hymn, which could be interpreted as either, I think.
Technically, in Christmas we commemorate the 1st coming of Christ and to wait for His second coming
@@samfranklin659 it was written about the second coming but the lyrics are applicable to both so it at some point it became popular as a Christmas hymn
This is not about the second coming of Christ, read Revalations for more context about the second coming, it is nothing like what the song describes
만국의 사람들에게, 즐거운 성탄절 보내십시오!
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life
CHRIST IS KING
I'm watching this on Christmas day in Australia.

Merry Christmas from Italy.
When our King returns 🙏
May the Lord encourage all sinners to repent to him and clean themselves with the power of the Holy Spirit for the next Great Christmas Season. So everyone can have prosperity and free from evil
This song brings back many fond memories from my childhood, when I was a kid, and the choir group at the school I studied in (up till the tenth grade) always sang this song first on Christmas Eve.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
(I know I am pretty late in saying this, but this video showed up in my recommendation just today.)
Gaudium est infallibilis probatio praesentiae Dei!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
bro that thumbnail lmfao
The thumbnail got me acting unwise
Good way to get views. Smart.
Merry Christmas! May the Lord give us strength for the new year
Love from a Catholic
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays y’all 🇺🇸✝️🎄
I always thought it was "let heaven and angels sing, instead of "let heaven and nature sing"
I thought it was "And heaven and earth shall sing"😭😭
@@tori_va807THEN WHICH IS RIGHT?
The original 1719 Isaac Watts text says “let heaven and nature sing” as the minister had based it on Psalm 98 and a bit on Genesis 3.
The LDS Church use an official version that says “And Saints and angels sing”; the popularity of Mormon Tabernacle Choir music is likely why the “angels” wording is commonly thought to be original.
Why does it have the Catholic arms for a song created in Great Britain when it had already become Protestant.
Why does old catholic churches are now anglicans?
We don't know, things happen.
Merry Christmas 🎉🎉!
Merry Christmas everybody and have a nice new year! Cheers 🥂
Rejoice to all throughout the world, it is the Days of the Epiphany!
I may not be a devout Christian anymore but that does not make me any less of a Christian. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Gentlemen and Gentlewomen!
Christ is Lord! Praise the newborn king!

✝Merry Christmas!✝
If it’s English why does it have the papal symbol instead of the Anglican cross, England isn’t a Catholic nation
Because England used to be catholic before king henry 8 split away
Anglicanism exists because King Henry 8th just wanted a divorce from the pope but denied
Merry Christmas from the U.S.A and happy new year to all no matter race religion or language.
Great song! How come it has the papal seal for a Protestant carol?
Prob Anglican
man i love christmas as an aro/ace progressive catholic
This is song is from the Christmas Special from Mormon Tabernacle Choir of 2017
Praise be to God, thanks for relaying this information. It’s now apart of my Spotify playlist.
Happy New Years to everyone!
Amen to everyone
I am an Hindu but the song is attractive and magnetic
May we all find god one day
Christmas celebrates when God came to earth to find us!
Why Vatican?????
Maybe because the Catholic Church is the biggest christen denomination
Gott mit dir
Gott mit uns!
Can you do yalla erhal ya bashar
From what I’ve read, it’s the original song, ‘Allah Syria Bashar’ is a pro-Bashar al-Assad parody of the song.
The song was written by Ibrahim Qashoush as an anti-Bashar al-Assad protest song during the Syrian Revolution.

Do not further divide us. Attempting to divide Christians like this could be very well considered work of the devil. Is being used as a pawn of Satan what you want?
Why?
