In what world would anybody believe that man didn't want his money when he got out? Girl...
Yup!! He did not have $3 grand to GIVE her..in his situation, he did not have any $$ to give her.
exactly!!! like why would he want to come home broke to nothing when you're hold almost 5,000 of his money
Clearly he ask her to hold the money for him.... get real..... the defendant is no better than a thief.
She seems to think that because the money went into her account she could do whatever she wanted to with it
Use the money to take care of the family??? Three abled body ppl that are NOT imprisoned and her kid that has a father somewhere… this woman is insane.
Right 😂 let me the prisoner take care of u and the family 🤦🏻♀️ she really tried it
The worst thing she said at the end He's the Con Artist 😮🙄 His niece is not nice 😏
I can't stand when she acts like corruption doesn't occur in the judicial system.
Exactly! Just because something shouldn't happen does not mean that it can't happen
I’ve found lots of folks from her and my parents generation are big rule followers and first thought isnt to break them. It’s hard for them to assume bad things about ppl who have seemingly worked hard like why would they just to break the rules?
And people can't stand that you're assuming it did. He is a thief, admitted to being so and can't be trusted. I wonder what you did.
Lol...exactly! I know this is old, but she's getting real cringy
Family will do you worse than a stranger off the street. She know damn well she ain’t use that money to take care of the family
If he was a con artist why would you hold money for him ma'am.
Also, according to her story, he gave her all of that money... That would be some really nice con artist 😅
The fact that he didn't want to try to make her look bad and let her do it to herself speaks volumes to who he is a person and who she is as a person. She a lying thief and she mad cause she got embarrassed.
During the opening my sister and I said "he looks like he would get scammed for $3000....and she definitely looks like she'd scam for $3000"
There's just nothing like stealing from your family and pretending it's a gift.
When you can betray a family member like the defendant did, there is no one you won't betray.
What is so funny is she claimed he happily gave her all his money to take care of her family, but then she is like I gave him $1000 and didn't want anything to do with him after that.
I learned to never give money to family to family unless it's a gift. You can't trust them to pay you back.
That defendant belongs in jail!
The thing that stuck out to me the most here is when she said that she gave him the $1000 when he got out and wanted nothing to do with him or to ever see him again and gave absolutely no reason to why she would suddenly not want anything to do with him, especially after, according to her, he GAVE her all of that money... Right there, told me everything I needed to know and that she stole that money from him because basically the same thing happened with my family. One of my Uncles screwed the rest of his siblings, including my Mom, out of some of their inheritance, leaving him to make out disproportionately more than the others and even though the family was obviously upset about this, we still wanted to stay together as a family but it was him that suddenly dropped us and wanted nothing to do with the family, even though he was the one in the wrong... That's what happens when guilt takes over. She knew she did him dirty and didn't want to have to keep facing him.
My Dad was institutionalized the last 15 years of his life because he had severe a mental illness, so he couldn’t live alone anymore.
Two of his brothers were supposed to take care of his finances, but when he passed away, we found out they had stolen more than $100000 from him over the years.
I tried taking these two disgraceful thieves to court, but unfortunately my funds were not enough to pay the required legal fees, so I had to pull the plug on the case and they simply got away with it.
It’s disgusting how often, as soon as money is in the picture, family members resort to lying and stealing from other family members!
@@The_Real_Mier Absolutely agree... Family is supposed to be the people you can always count on in this life but what I've found is that they're usually the first to screw you over and take advantage of you, ESPECIALLY when it comes to money. I've seen it time and time again with several families, from all walks of life and backgrounds. And they almost always justify it to themselves because they think they are entitled to it, whether it be they want something from you for free or at a discount, they want you to forgive their debt with you, they expect handouts or repeated help, or they try to take more or all of an inheritance, insurance payout, or that person's valuables because they "deserve it" the most, they "need it" the most, they "earned it", their entitled to it or were "told" it would go to them... I've seen it all, every excuse in the book. Although the saddest is always when they throw away their relationship with their family over something so small and meaningless because they're just that greedy and/or petty.
I thought the same thing! Why all of a sudden would her feelings about him change? She gave herself away there
I was going to say the same! Why would someone who supposedly gave you almost 5,000 be someone you were ready to ditch!?
Oh neice, you spent his $$$! Girl, you had time to SAVE!!😊
We know she spent it she trifling and don't care. " Uh I kept my phone on" im a single mother...uh its 4K ma'am not life changing money...do you work?? Cause you really acting like that held you up for 4 years!! Get it together!
The nerve of him to want his money because he should of course give his niece and her mother some money!” The audacity of this grown woman to have the lamest excuses to why she spent her uncle’s money!
The guy with the twist and glasses reaction @ 4:02 after the plantiff says how long he was in jail 😂😅
Because it was crazy he got that much time for being in possession of stolen goods WHEN Seccoffenders don’t get that much time.
I missed it the first time, I had to rewatch that part to see it 😂😂😂
she used his money while he was incarcerated then got mad 😡 when he wanted it back! she’s horrible!!!
She’s trifling. It’s very sad and he seems like a solid guy. Truly unfortunate… So many good black men have gotten caught up in the math behind stupid shit. I hope he stays outta trouble.
@@kkthedrummer8999 Exactly…. and just because he was convicted doesn’t mean he was actually guilty.
Why would he not want his money when he got of prison, I don’t believe he just said here have at it, cuz when he gets out he’s gonna need money. I think she just started spending a little here and there and thought I’ll b able to put it back, but time flies and she didn’t have time to put back what she spent, so she decided to act dumb and say “well I thought he wanted me to take care of family,” which sounds ridiculous.
The brotha face in the back with glasses. I read his lips.. He heard that 4 year sentence and said....Damum😂😂😂
Poor guy. His family ain’t $hit.
It’s very sad to see how people love you when money is being passed around. But when they owe you they call you every name in the book. I hope they can make up and move past this
I've held money for incarcerated friends and family, and I've never thought to take their money. Usually, they lose everything by going to jail, so why would I take their last bit.
The defendant is going to get hers..!
She will need him before he needs her..!
Good for him he got his money..!
The brother's reaction in the back after he said he got sentenced to 4 1/2 yrs 😂
He's saying NONE of your BUSINESS YO HONOR😂😂😂
The court is crooked. I've actually seen them do this before. I posted the persons bail and while waiting on release I was then informed that it was reversed and I did not get money back😮🤬
It's his money! good lord, the audacity of this chick 🙄
I hate that this judge thinks she knows EVERYTHING about everything guess what the EXACT same thing happend 2me. I bailed out amd when i got 2 court the DA ask "how'd he get out?" I told her i bailed out and the DA turned 2the judge and says " it was too easy 4him 2get out" they talkD then added another charge and i was reprimanded right back N2 custody
They added a charge for you, which is what she said must’ve happened here. My friend was bailed out and charges dropped, then picked up again on Fed charges the next day
@@t10events11 But, randomly adding a charge just bc you didn't like that he got out is wrong. When JM said something about adding a charge, I thought that she meant that he did something after he bailed out. That's not the same as them deciding after the bailout that they're going to add previous charges. That is just wrong.
This really makes me angry. I'm no law expert, but something about this seems wrong. You should consult with some type of free legal aid group to see if your rights were violated...To me, this is like your parents telling you that you have to do certain chores bc you did something wrong. You finish the chores really quickly and they get upset that it was too easy, so they give you more chores and say that it's about something else that they already know that you did when they first gave you the chores.
Now Barbara…. No one gives away settlement money, honey.
She spent that money and tried to con him.
She's a crook for taking his money.
Trust no one-she knows she took that money.
I dont see someone being incarcerated for that amount of time willing to GIVE money away, knowing they have no other money coming in once released. Doesn't make sense. She took that money
She prolly use some of his money to get thar red hair 😅
He seems like a nice and sincere man
😒 she really thinks "justice" is just and served equally🤔 the wonders of a black robe and gavel in America 🙄. At least the ruling was fair.
Jail or not he seems like a stand up kinda guy
Well she sure didn’t buy a good wig with that man money 😂😂😂
The courts dont do that... 😂😂 Yea right especially coming from a person who rules on emotions she trying to say courts are fair is hilarious
Well court shows aren't a good representation of the justice system bc they don't follow the same rules..w shows ur agreeing to follow her ruling, she's got no more power then a mediator
A few months ago, I saw a court case on YT where a judge found out that someone was in JAIL when he shouldn't have been.
Girl, you knew that was his money!
A lot of people love money more than their families but they have to realize when money runs out your family will always be there but since you kicked them to the curb they may not be, money and family never mixed 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑, GREED RULES
It does happen it happened to my son in Arizona you bailed him out for the 700 and then when he went to court for the next hearing they remanded him in again no additional violations no term violations went to court like he was supposed to and they put him back in custody and reverse it
Hey Barbara: Liar, liar, pants on fire.
That niece is a thief and liar and on national television she aint got no shame
Awww she said she was his only family
So this is sad that she would do this to him especially if she’s all he has
4yrs for possession of stolen property. That seems steep.
Does she look like someone you’d trust to hold money for you? No, bruh.
I believe him I can tell by the way the defendant is looking at him while he's talking smh
For me, it was the way she was looking at JM to see how she's reacting to his story.
Yes JM move on & stop thinking every case is the same. The man told u wht happened sheesh😒
the love of money is the root of all evil.
Yes, they can revoke your bail for no reason especially in Virgina!!!
What people…even family, do for money. She’s terrible
She knew he wouldn’t be out in 4 years so she spent it and now she’s trying to cover her tracks.
She is wrong. Of course he is going to need that money with his situation
My niece is paying me back ,but his niece comes out being seen as evil 👿
She should get charge with SOMETHING. He sign the check in your name because he did not have an ID!! that man was not out here giving away no money!!!!
I knew that she was lying before, but that part sealed the deal. The fact that she's actually trying to use that as proof.
Defendant said he’s the con-artist? He may be, but it’s evident the apple doesn’t fall far from the family tree.
she took that money and probably thought he would forget about it in the time he spent in prison
She knows why the check was signed over to her, she knew he would want his money when he got out.
The only thing that really sucks about all these court cases is that the TV show pays the fines. It would be alot better if the judge made the losers pay the court back or they go to jail
When she said I gave him $1,000 and told him I want nothing to do with you I knew her ass was lying about him giving her the money to keep.
If it was all good and she was really “helping him cuz that’s my Uncle” why would u say here’s $1,000 to help you but I don’t want nothing to do with you.
You say that when you’re mad because HE’S Mad you spent all his money .
Glad the plaintiff won
I mean he definitely gave her the money to hold. He knew he was going to need money once he was released from jail. She’s a lian and is mad she has to pay him HIS money back.
Doug is hilarious!!
Judge M was extra shout-y and interrupt-y in this episode! And what's up with her asking so many questions about his bail and previous court issues, and then saying 'move on'. That info had no bearing on the case being tried in front of her.
But her ruling was fair.
Damn 4 years of possession of stolen goods.what did he have the Mona Lisa?
The judge was stuck on his criminal case. I guess that's how these shows get ratings. As Judge Mathis says, "give me some background." Meaning tell me your business. 😅
She took that money! Point blank period! I bet she bought that wig with his money! 😂
Lmaoaoao this the first ever video I’ve commented on for peoples court and I must say I love this case. She knew damn well after a person get out of jail they gonna want there bread he was basically starting from scratch after 4years. You can tell he’s a kind person lol glad he got his money back !
The moment I saw that chain on the defendant chest I knew where some of the money went
She knew damn well he would need that money when he got out of jail. Who just gives away six thousand dollars?
I do not believe he told her take remaining money left after paying lawyer. That red wig belongs to him way I see it
She knew he would need that money once he got out. She's, obviously, lying!
I'm 52. I have never given money, or had someone give me money, for jail stuff - bonds, bail, commissary - i know what the words mean, but i really have no idea what they are talking about. I would hate to be a lawyer and to have a career that enables this whole routine.
Defendant..."He's a con artist." Lady, so are you. 😂😂😂
There is no way I am going to be going to prison and just give my niece $4000 to spend on herself she knows good and well she stole tht man money she probably didn’t think he would take her to court for it
Ain’t nobody gonna go to jail and just be like “Yeah here’s $3K you can just have it”
❤ hello and good day to you ladies and gentlemen watching this video ❤
Doug chooses violence in these interviews 😂😂
She thought he would never get out of jail
"He's a con artist...he's a liar" Well like uncle like niece...pay the con artist his money😏
Some people are so SHAMELESS!
birds of a feather...
He’s locked up… why would he gift you almost $5k
Never give her a penny to hold now she has to take responsibility and give him his money
He wasn't a con artist or a liar when you were spending his money.
Defendant pocketed his money, she looked shady.
Her final comments were funny since she's obviously the con artist.
The plaintiff said she had other bills which were a priority. Surely the roof over your head should be a priority
You can forgive someone for stealing from you but don’t deal with them anymore.
Money brings out the absolute worst in people. She knows she took his money.
Why she in court looking like the C head momma off of holiday heart 😂😂😂
Now he knows what it feels like to be stolen from. 😂😂😂
No one gives someone that amount of money as a gift. She knew she was wrong.
