You can make jelly from beets too, my mom makes it amazing, it's nothing like a beet and is so sweet, it's my favorite jelly, above blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, apple, etc.
Make some sugar crystals in a cup of koolaid (tie a string to s stick placed over the top) pulverize the chunky crystals to make whatever cotton candy flavor you want
It would be interesting to compare the finish weight of the cotton candy to the amount of sugars listed on the product label in a ratio to the beginning wait to see if the amount of cotton candy you get in the end is equally proportionate to the amount of sugar over other ingredients
