I wish i could live in a place as connected to nature as this. Here in Greece in the city its so hard to be alone but thankfully there's a small forest near my house. Somedays it's just so full of people though. Mark helps me not mind it as much though
Jonathan, do you happen to know how I could get in touch with the director of this documentary? This documentary should exist as a hard copy in my opinion. I fear one day it may be lost to TH-cam if the uploaders ever discontinue their accounts.
@@jesegel Thanks for getting back to me, it means a great deal. I guess I’ll start by trying to contact the station and see where that gets me. Thanks again Jonathan🙏
@@vinkoska It is just a microphone Mark found at a Landfill if I remember correctly. It’s nothing special. You can replicate it with any cheap small microphone. You then wanna run it into a cheap Distortion pedal. Then follow it with a compressor.
If I ever need inspiration to writer a new song or I'm struggling I always see Sparklehorse and my wires go straight again and I know why I'm doing this again.
4 years to the day, RIP Mark, you are sadly missed
8 years here. I miss you Mark. Thank you for everything.
Thank you Lotje for recording the genius of Mark Linkous and thanks also for sharing it with us via TH-cam
The artist shines through, as it always did in his music. I first heard Sparklehorse with Hey Joe, and I've been a fan ever since.

those lovely harmonies with waiting for nothing at the beginning. eerie and just amazing.
seriously. waiting for nothing at the beginning, make the heart melt and freeze at the same time
Man I miss my guitar. That Strat was stolen in 2004.
That sucks man, people who steal instruments are jerks - some nice licks on 'waiting for nothing' though. Ps, cool tattoo
I've had seven stolen- but a sparklehorse guitar would hurt a bit...

@@reactionsb1 It was a Dutch company, I think maybe from VPRO radio? I have no contact for them. It may have been owned by state radio.

Does anyone know what the mic to our left is called? The smaller one that makes Mark’s voice distorted.
Did you find out? I've been wondering the same

Stanford, Pancake, Linkous.
He always had a fear if coal mines. Hard work.
