    The most ridiculous title I've ever seen when you can find a 4070 super for 550 right now. Its still and will remain the best price/performance gpu nvidia released this year. Nobody would ever say its dead. It's still the most talked about and ran gpu from nvidia thos year on reddit and Facebook from mid range to higher end users.
    I get the clickbait and stuff but come on you don't have to do that.

    The issue here is that you say to wait, but this apply also next year... Because the 5000 super will come out next year; and then next year wait because the 6000 will come out... So if the matter is waiting, there will always be a better card. It is better to look at it from the perspective that buying a computer is like buying a car: it is a waste of money so buy what you need now and just don't think about the best deal because like new phones are coming out almost every year, a new CPU or GPU is coming out every other year, making the old stuff not relevant anymore, as games get better.

    • @TheTechTank
      @TheTechTank  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well yes and no. I agree that you'll always be stuck waiting if you're worried about how much better the next thing is going to be. However in this case where we're in-between launches, it makes sense to wait a little longer to either get a better deal or a better product in the end. But obviously only if you're able to wait, or don't mind waiting.

      @fcf8269 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheTechTank If we talk about now as August, then yes, the delta of time between releases is shorter; but in general it is the same adagio every year or two; so in the end it really matter only for some people maybe... Like those who do competitive tournaments that need the latest stuff.
      For the rest of us, waiting for a generation or skip one or buy an "old" card and then get another one at the next refresh is really a problem that is a non-problem because it is a cycle that repeat every single time, no matter what

    I like the AMD's 7900 GRE and its lower price to performance in Vertex shading. It's the ultimate DX 11/12 value champ... I didn't have an option for the GRE and bought into the RTX 4070 Super for its added performance, Vibrancy, And its new features and forward looking Ray traced and path traced technologies. Since my January ownership of the smaller form factor Asus Dual 4070 Super for 1440p I've been very happy with using and having Ray Traced affects and it's lower power consumption while gaming. Thanks Tech Tank on your thoughts about this. Ultimately the consumer has compelling choices going forward.

      @Obie327 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Josh-Tech-Reviews Yes, Save the money knowing that RTX 4070 Super will play everything very well for the next three years+. Heck!, If the budget allows, Get RTX 4080 Super if exclusively tied to a 4k high refresh display. Why buy into the 4090 late in the product cycle for $1600+ dollars when you can hugely save and buy a great balanced performing gaming card for the third of the price. RTX 5000 series is coming... So there's that to look forward to or examine.

      AMD cards can do RT too. Obviously not as well as Nvidia right now, but it's something and it's getting better and better. As for DLSS, AMD has a similar technology that does almost the same thing almost just as good. I see it all in action almost every day. It would be irresponsible for me as a reviewer not to also recommend products that deliver a similar level of performance while also costing less, drawing less power etc.

      @@Akashdeepkashyap Haven't seen a specific review of the Twin but the Zotac Trinity is among the coolest and quietest cards out there. Zotac is owned by Inno3D and they make similar cards so I'd guess their dual cards perform similarly. Inno3D X2 temps are okay 60-75°C on all components if I remember correctly. Noise is little higher on the Inno3D but still okay, no idea about the Zotac Twin. OC performance should be less than say Asus Dual, their dual cooling and PCB are slightly inferior but tbh OC is much more reliant on silicon lottery than anything else.

    You forget, 4070 Super is around 500-600, but I bet you the 50 series, on launch and with scalpers, will easily be 3000 bucks, and even the 5060 will be overpriced as hell. So going for a 50 series on release date is just not gonna be feasible for the huge majority (90% of gamers) even then they could just straight run out of stock.
    50 series is more of a end of 2025 consideration, if IF.

    • @TheTechTank
      @TheTechTank  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The 4070S should be around 50% faster than your 2060S, so it's worth it from a performance perspective. As for that trade, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. I'd check secondhand markets to see what I could get for the 2060S, and what the 4070S goes for before deciding though. As for whether the price will drop once the new series comes out, that's all but guaranteed. The question is just by how much and that's going to depend on how good and well-priced the new cards are.

    • @TheTechTank
      @TheTechTank  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Yes, with the 8600G you'll only get 8 dedicated PCIe 4.0 lanes for your GPU, but the performance difference between x8 and x16 has been, and still is negligible. If you see any difference at all, you're looking at sub 5% lower performance for the fastest cards on the market right now. The PCIe bandwidth might become a bigger issue in a few years when we have GPUs that can actually use all of that bandwidth though.
