Um no. If you know anything about Boyega he's a die-hard Star Wars fan who collects all of the memorabilia. What does being black have to do with it? Every actor sits by the phone waiting for a call (except for the A-listers) as I'm sure Daisy Ridley did. John has made videos of his love of star wars toys which is what I was referring to.
You wake up. What did I say? I said A list actors don't have to wait, (though some do). You're mad that Boyega had to wait? You think Daisy Ridley didn't have to wait, when thousands of women auditioned for the part of Rey and she is an unknown actress with zero movie acting experience? I guarantee she had to wait too. Is that what your problem is? The use of the word "waiting?" Some actors wait a long time before getting a part, others get the part when someone else backs out. Would you have had a problem if I said Daisy Ridley was waiting for the call would you have said because "she's a woman?" I doubt it. Why don't you rejoice in the fact that J.J. cast the best ACTOR for the part which was Boyega, in the lead male role? DId you know the lead role in the Matrix was offered Will Smith who turned it down because he thought "he couldn't handle it" and Keanu Reeves was the second choice? I bet you weren't complaining then. I'm a minority myself, and I know that Hollywood is biased toward the white male, but in this movie that is not the case if that is what you are implying. JJ has a diverse cast. Where else would the two lead parts of a major movie franchise be a female and an African British man. And what's more their co-star Oscar Isaac is Latin American.

While watching John i felt like watching a younger Denzel. Thats the kind of vibe i got which i beleive is a good thing for him. If all blacks are alike then i would be getting this from every other black actors. +Mike Ban I actually felt that too when I first saw him in Attack the Block four years ago. My mom and I even called him Baby Denzel. I'm so glad he's becoming a star. Hope there's more to come for him after Star Wars too. He seems like a nice guy, very talented, and deserving of all the attention. He's also been outspoken and has stood up for himself through all the fanboy racism, and misrepresentation - like that Telegraph article from a little while back.

Yes I noticed that also. During TFA interviews, conference or promotion, he had this tender, sweet look whenever she talked and this one happened when Daisy was unaware if it. But during TLJ, he was kinda avoiding eye contact, awkward and stealing glances towards her looked like he tried to repress the attraction.
