Here are the songs NOT available in this "Complete" boxset 1 *"This Charming Man" single (1983)* *B-Sides:* "Jeane", "Accept Yourself", "Wonderful Woman" 2 *"Sweet & Tender Hooligan" single (1995)* *Released in support of the "Singles" compilation CD* *B-Sides:* "I Keep Mine Hidden", "Work Is A Four Letter Word", "What's The World ?" Hey, I have this same box too and I agree that it is a quality box and the sleeve reproductions are accurate (not sure why all CD box sets aren't exact reproductions like this one is - this should be the standard).
Thanks, its a really nice qulaity boxset but a bit pricy for the amount of albums you get. I have other ones (ELO and Paul Simon) which were cheaper and you get mroe in them but the quality is pretty poor comparred to this. Take Care.
that is cool I had the vinyls and they have reproduced as it was. but seems in your complete box, you are missing the perks, which were the the disc where they have included all the singles (a and b sides) and the dvd with their videos.
great boxset. I got it on release to replace my over played originals. my box got scuffed easily and showed it being white where it used to be stored but now I keep my boxsets on display on top of units it fares better. The replicas of the original stickers was a nice touch too.
you must have listened to it by now, but I Know It's Over on Rank is especially subliminal! it's the best most haunting version of the song ever recorded.
nice box set Ross, it's the same cover and contest as my vinyl one. Not sure I'd need both but it def is tempting. Would agree with you on the booklet though, looks like you need a microscope to read it ! Well at least with my old man eyes lol.. Does look like a nice set though, and I am confident you'll like the live album too when you play it. They were pretty good haha. Enjoy your weekend
Hey, thanks for commenting, I'm jealous of your vinyl box but I have originals which are better, joking :). There is also a box which has the contents of both our sets plus every single, 7" and 12" they released, that would be nice but its super expensive. Also I've played the live album and I like it alot, just the studio versions are better recordings but they played great live. Take Care.
Don't know anything about The Smiths in my neck of the woods. What album would you recommend me trying as a first time listener? What is the song you have playing on this video?
Thanks for commenting. I'd recomend getting a hit compilation to see if you like their general sound/style first, though if your more intrested in albums, The Queen Is Dead is a must. The songs in this video are This Charming Man, Nowhere Fast and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. Thanks
I personally find these remasters not too enjoyable. The clarity is lacking and the bass is overemphasized. They sound quite muddy and boring to my ears. The 2008 "Sounds of the Smiths" compilation is a much better sounding release and the best sounding Smiths CD you can get IMO.

Thanks, the outer box is a bit flimsy but if it stored it a safe place and not touched too often it should stay like it was.

aliceinwanderlust yes I would agree with that
They need to do a reissue of this! I don't want to pay $150 for a used copy!

Really unfortunate this isn’t actually a “complete” set. There are missing songs.
