I personally agree with you. I used to collect back in the day and went away from it for a while. Now I’m starting to collect again and when I see some of the prices for some of the shoes I’m floored by the prices. However, I’ve learned more so now to be patient and just wait for certain releases to drop or get that grail for a price I deem worth it. Great video.
Thanks man. This comment is very relatable. I never stepped away from sneakers but there were 1-2 years there in 2018-2019 where I bought like 5 pairs total. It just was the same stuff over and over. I want to relive my youth but the prices are insane. I always wait after the release. 9/10 times you’ll find a deal. Thanks, I got 2 vids dropping again next week appreciate your support.
As someone that bought OG 3’s and 4’s in 1988 and 1989 and actually fell off to come back to the craziness in getting pairs, my sole purpose has always been to wear crispy pairs. Don’t care much for boxes, OG all, etc but all my shoes are crispy as they can be. Saying all this, I say release them all.
What a time to be alive tbh I’m a kid from the 90s and i grew up learning the history of air Jordan’s and now that I can actually get them on hand same day of release is mind blowing cause I remember prying that I hit on raffles for the OGs before retail started to happen. I think if any of these shoes released when everyone wanted them to they would be harder to get so the timing is perfect for me cause imma get every one that I always wanted !
I feel you, as a sneaker collector and the hunt for the shoes and deals we put in work for and keep the shoes as new as possible so when we wear them no one else has them on and made us feel like we have on something special is all going away.
Metallic 5s n Wc 4s i need back in the collection....ive been trying to trim down but with all these o.gs coming out next year itll be hard not to buy them all
I like that many of are rereleasing as I’m back after 5 years off 😂. What I don’t like is the reimagine line. Just give me the og colors and style with no pre aging. I want them to age naturally
I’m with you on this bro. I think Nike is desperate to boost their market share and pump their numbers up with all these releases next year. Of course I’m excited af to buy all the pairs I’ve been after for so long, but I definitely agree that it feels weird to just drop them all in one year. Not only are our wallets going to take a massive hit lol but it’s not going to be the same hunt per pair as it was for the older releases.
Thanks man. Even the TSG days, which were arguably the start of “resell” (2014ish?) was fun. I mean everyone trading and bartering and whatnot. But it’s all the same now. We’ve lost the hunt. Thanks as always bro !
Your right, I honestly think Nike lost connection with its fan base. This seems like a desperation move. I don’t see it working either unless a lot of the releases are EXTREMELY limited
I agree except that we’re talkin about NIKE they have plenty of shoes and collaborations that they could bring back if they wanted money, 2025 is not gonna hurt them at all with the set releases
Personally, I dont care what shoes other people have/wear. If a shoe releases that i like, and im able to buy it, I purchase it. Im not concerned with the resale value of shoes that I don’t plan on selling. I wear my shoes so i think its great that replacements are being made available.
@HeatLedgerKicks yup it's ridiculous im tired of trying not hitting on sneakers n all these other apps it's pointless I remember I use to order off of eastbay these ppl not really into sneakers they just hypebeast
What's your point lol? It's still about owning the sneaker not about how you got it. Those are all sneakers MJ wore on court, I want them sooner than later. Btw Nike is doing this because the sneaker game is down and they want sales. I am going to double-up on a lot of these sneakers so Nike and me gonna be happy. As soon as the sneaker game is where it was people can hunt their stories again.
Everyone has their own experience and interpretation of sneaker collecting, for me it was about the hunt. There is no hunt now. To have every Jordan released over 10 years lumped into 1 year is why it bothers me. That’s basically the summary of the video. Thanks for watching and yes I agree with Everything you’re saying
Yeah man ur 100% right Back the days I bought many pairs of ppl on Kijiji&FB cuz they sold them at steal prices which I could afford Rafffles back we’re wild lol Fcfs as well 🤣 thank god I made out. Their was always stories for getting shoes, trades meeting ppl taking transit to the city It was always a mission. Now it’s just click this click that wait couple of day bam shoes here no new stories U pay resell story done. Nike lost $ due to runners New Balance ASICS Saucony kicking their a$$ so they are like they still want them old Jordan’s let’s give it to them to bump our value back up. For next yr sales
Yes bro! Those are pure memories from back in the day. Let’s see what Nike does. I mean I’m happy we’re getting all the shoes back but let’s hope they do it right
I understand what you say but also don't think it aligns with the current climate on sneakers. The "stories", deals and conversations with people are long gone and will never return and if they somehow decide to just release 12 shoes next year you would get most of them off a resale platform anyway so... What's there to tell? "I got them off Stockx for $500"? I don't think it's the brand's fault entirely, it's the people too.
Honestly dude, you’re completely wrong. First of all…The Nike Flynits should have been mentioned as the breathable equivalent to Air Jordans. Second of all…Icy Blue Off White Jordans are awesome…am I wrong? Lastly, the only good thing about your opinion about 2025 Jordans, is your Washington fitted cap. A Seattle Mariners cap or any Griffey branded jersey would be second to that. You’ve slept on these gems for too long, and me and the rest of the Etobicoke hype beasts are waiting for that review. Stay up 🤷♂️
Nike is desperate because the economy is 🗑️ which is a W for us true sneaker heads that hate resellers. I respect your opinion but I really don’t care about the hunt if I want a sneaker I can finally get it without having to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to obtain it. The dopamine goes away after you get the pair you want and the cycle repeats itself the hunt just enhances the dopamine and desire of wanting a specific pair for me sneakers are my dopamine and if I don’t have to go through any obstacles to get em even better easy access is where it’s at
Man I respect this! I guess just differing opinions and experiences! I really need to learn to many enjoy the shoes and forget about the “glory days”. Thanks for watching !
Yo man, informative video by the way. However, I feel like you contradict yourself. At first you mention that trainers should be enjoyed by everyone without having to go through hoops and loops to get them, let alone paying a fortune for them. Then on the other side you criticize Nike for dropping all these releases because it floods the market. Remember many just want a decent OG pair of trainers and not having to stab or rob a bank for them. This is why there are so many counterfeits and Reps out there. Shoes are shoes at the end of the day and getting them shouldn't be too much admin. Producing only a limited number of pairs and then running a lottery as if it some green card isn't cool man. I remember working for months straight to be able to buy my first Jordan 4s only no find them in retail. I eventually got them but didn't pay resell price nor did I purchase them retail and they still looked good on feet. Yes, that is right, they were a pair of Reps, and I bought them knowingly all because of this cycle of hype and limited releases bs.
Damn you’re right! Good point. I guess I am conflicted with both sides! And I understand man. When I was in high school attaining a pair of Jordan’s was dsmn near impossible. Fakes were so bad they had a picture of Jordsn with 3 legs on it
Do you guys agree with me or am I completely wrong? 😑

Love this mindset. Alright in that case bring everything back! 😂
@@HeatLedgerKicks Pairs I bought this year that I am so into are Bred Satin 1’s, Linens, HUF air max 1 and the Patta Chlorophyll.
Wow great lineup. I need linens. Hufs are going super low I’m ready to buy those. And chlorophyll I wanted but they’re too expensive
Yes it the bad thing ppl like us who just want a shoe we have too pay overprice for that

Yesssir!!
I don’t give a shit how I get it, as long as I got what I want. Preferably directly from a retailer and not a reseller

I feel you on the stories but most of my purchases are from resell platforms

That's why I missed the 80s and 90s
It was easy to get the sneakers that you like 🤷🤷🤷🤷
Man I wish I was old enough to experience all the 90s Nike basketball heat!!! Thanks bro
I agree bro 💯
🙏
No worries... at some point the hunt will return once those shoes are no longer wearable. Nike takes decades at a time to bring certain sneakers back
This is true !
Im just pissed off shoes are too damn expensive
