      Glad to help, I think a minor bump is what caused the leak on mine. I’d been putting off the job for months thinking it was going to be much harder so I’m glad to see the video help someone else!

    Hi, I know it's been a while since you did this job but I'm replacing mine, do I need to replace o rings or gaskets when I fit the new condenser, the bottom of my condenser is soaked in green liquid and only blows warm, would I need it evacuated before starting, thanks in advance

    • @IAMASPANNER
      @IAMASPANNER ปีที่แล้ว

      You should replace the o rings, a good kit will include them and you should be able to buy them separately. If the system is empty then evacuation won’t be necessary. If you can see a lot of green liquid then it’s unlikely the system has any charge left.

    Hi, first of all thank you for your work. Is it possible to change the condenser without dismantling the bumper? Thank you

      Hi Marius, I’m not sure, I think to remove from under the car like in the video you do need to remove the bumper but there may be a way to remove from the top without removing the bumper. I’m unsure. I hope you got sorted!

      Hello, dismantling a bumper is straightforward. I managed to pull the condenser upward by removing the air intake and the hood opener lever. You need to remove the bumper to give room for rachet tools for tubes disconnections. If you remove upward, you dont need to unscrew the oil cooler.

    Hi. How much oil do I have add to the condenser and how? Thanks for the video

      Hi Rahe,
      The air conditioning system requires gas when the condenser is replaced which would have to be done at a garage that provides this service. Hope this helps.

    Is it true there is no need to change compressor oil on Volvo XC90?

    • @IAMASPANNER
      @IAMASPANNER 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, I understand the confusion. If you're changing the condenser then this video is assuming your gas has leaked out. My condenser was leaking so there was no refrigerant in the system when I did the video. You're the second comment so I'm sorry I didn't point that out. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
