      Did your steering wheel get jammed by any chance when that happened? Coz the same thing happened to me and my steering is completely jammed up

      @@covid19btw69Yes, the belt powers the power steering fluid pump pulley, so the wheel will be harder to turn

    Thanks man! My old belt gave out and started eroding while I was driving but I was able to get it at the nearest autozone and replace it no problem then and there, so simply explained 👍🏽

    thanks for the video! Handicapped myself since i didnt have the option to take the wheel off and had to use two wrenches in the stead of a cheater bar. Was a struggle, but definitely made it a bigger accomplishment 😅

    Seems like a pain but easy to get your belt off since you have to go from the bottom side and top. On my genesis it's right up front and our tensioner is under the top right pulley.

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir! It's possible to reach the tensioner from the top but you'll have to go underneath anyway to get the belt on lol. Thanks for watching bro! 😎

    I have a 2010 Hybrid Altima and it kinda makes a rough noise when I start the car and open the hood it comes from where the belt is located would it be the belt?

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the belt or a pulley. You can simply turn the belt over and take a look at the ribs of the belt, if there are little cracks along each rib it's time to change it. Hope this helps, thanks for watching Michael Phelps! 😉

    can i do it without removing the tire ?

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm Maybe...I don't know to be honest with you...I guess if you try turning the wheel all the way over to the right, it might give enough room to reach in and wrap the belt around crankshaft pulley, or if you have skinny enough arms you could reach down from the top? I've always just took the tire off to give myself plenty of room to work but I suppose it's possible to do it. Try it and let us know how it worked out! 😉

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahhh ok, then probably need the wheel to come off to give enough room to leverage the tensioner pulley. Thanks for the update 😊
