There are channels I like to watch, and there are those I have to watch. Dauntless is a channel I have to watch because you keep showing me that you know things that I need to learn. Based on your incredible skill with veneer and cabinetry so far, I'm sure you are going to make this all look like it was built that way. It's always amazing.
Did all the new wire runs ever happen? I remember all the old wiring was removed, but rerunning all those wires is a big job and i don't remember seeing it in the videos.
Love the series but I think you’re never gonna sail! But at least you have a boat and I live vicariously thru you. I think the next thing you cut are the lines to the dock. Where do you find your motivation to keep doing all these modifications. Happy sailing …. One day. Cheers
Just an FYI - after cruising for a few years I have realized you don’t need or even want a dryer. I had a combo unit and they suck. Threw that out and put in a regular washing machine. Use the life lines as a clothes line. Space and weight is to valuable to use it up with a dryer.
The washer dryer combo is awesome if you have nothing at all, but I agree. Our dryer smokes our clothes and towels. Also, the installer of the unit did not vent it correctly, so we have been having a whole bunch of issues. I am so excited for you, and envious. Heidi
So looks like the boat may be ready for sailing ⛵️ the world in the year 2030.😂😅😂 And how is that freezer going to fit down the Passage way. And when it goes out and has to be replaced Ooo man that is going to be a fun day. Just a thought. And can't wait to see "Big Tetris" in Action! 😂😮😅 Ok Thanks for this week's video 📹. So until next time ⏲️, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Cheers 🍻 Hope to see your sails on the Horizon someday from my lanai here on the Big Island!
Understand the washer and dryer as live aboards but do you have a weight you are aiming for once complete? I have a feeling if you do ocean crossings you may value the extra speed over that freezer or other heavy I wants like your dinghy or the home appliances.
It seems like most women who have lived on a sailboat would vote for this type of drier. We live near the ocean and after a day on the boat or at the beach our hair and skin is crusted with the salt that’s in the air. Clothes drying on a lifeline would seemingly get a similar coating of salt which would less desirable than being dried inside. If I had a sailing yacht, I would vote for a heat pump drier!👍🏼
What is your plan to exhaust the heat that the dryer makes? Here in Oregon, the extra heat from the heat exchanger is just a bonus until summer when a ceiling fan is needed to keep the laundry room from overheating.
Aft cabin and aft bathroom, but still a lot of weight when loaded. I'm guessing the work room is a lot of weight but utility room weight in this video is for dockside and long downwind adventures. Otherwise it could be emptier. dont need a bunch a bunch of food or likely not doing laundry on a short performance day sail.
Let me understand what you said about drying towels after you use them after showering. You mean you dry dirty towels that have Been used to dry off not so sanitary places of a body . And reusing them . Maybe I didn't hear you right but a dry dirty towel is still dirty it's just dry dirt rather then wet dirt. No thanks if I'm going to dry my face with a towel it's not going to be a towel that was used drying someone else's private parts.
I get the creature comforts but wonder if going sailing for a time may have been a good way to understand just how little one actually needs. Part of sailing to remote areas is the life lesson of simplicity and to rid oneself of the "need" for "things". Maybe this is not your expectations, just saying.
As someone who is sailing around the world, looking for a laundromat or washing clothes in a bucket are things to be avoided if at all possible. We have a washing machine on our boat and it makes cruising civilized. The dryer is more of a luxury item that's not as necessary for us but to each his own.
Yes, done the trip twice now and been living aboard for 14 years so completely understand some civilized comforts being wanted and yes, we do have a washing machine but sailing is the main goal.@@laurapitre5797
Why is Kim talking about her boat, her washer/dryer, her freezer. He seems to working his butt off customizing their boat. My wife does the same thing: her house.
So, the room you just finished, over several episodes, converting from a Bedroom to the WORKroom, with Washer/Drier sitting on the counter top, is so Empty that you can't put all of those tools sitting in the Saloon away? I enjoy the content and that makes no sense. Literally how many new draws and all of that counter top space?
Suggest you install what you start within the same video. 2 videos to install a fridge? We love ya, but do we love ya that much? Don't test us 8p (big-eyed smiley with tongue). Your projects are a ton of time and work - check. Cold? It's a fridge install.
Wow.. Someone loves their Buffalo Trace!!!! 😂

No more holes in Kim's Boat!!
👍✅ Tks for the update Guys!
One thing I’ve accepted in my construction career. Nothing is ever straight. We’re all just good at making it look like it.
Well said….
Just saw your Bambulab. So cool 😎 I have one as well. Cheers from Germany

Love your videos. It seems to me you are making the best liveaboard on the water.

Tye, nothings ever straight in a house either 🤦🏼♂️
Thanks!
Thanx for the help getting a dock in ft pierce.
Thank you so much!!!😊
Can't wait to see the work in action, and of course to finish product.
Great stuff! Can you come do this on our boat?

Amazing upgrades!!
I am wondering how that freezer is going to get down the stairs and around the corner to its new home.
Love you guys. Happy Holidays! Be well ❤

How do you power the X1? I seem to recall that you've set up things on a DC system
What about all that weight? And the weight on the outside vs inboard?
"Do Epic Shit!"
I was glad that sign was not in the head.
How much is all of this custom work on one of the hulls far forward going to effect your CG?

That’s because it’s MY workshop, MY dinghy, MY galley… she can have those parts 😂

2 years no sailing you might want to rebrand the channel
Maybe a rebrand to repairing sailboats ??
