That hazy effect in the background is so lovely. It made me wonder, if there ever a time when you add a final haze onto the foreground images (like if they're also in fog, rain, etc--perhaps blending a pale color over the entire images including the white die cut border)?
I can’t think of a time when I’ve done that over the images too, but it could be interesting! If you give it a try, tag me so I can see how it turned out!🙂
What a beautiful card!!! You did an amazing job with it. I love how you used the cardinals and paired them with the birch trees stencil, so pretty. Your coloring is fantastic and I love the color palette. I didn't even realize that the female cardinal was a different color from the male, so lovely. I love your stickles and how you added the foliage onto the sentiment. It all came together perfectly. You are so talented and such a blessing to this community. I hope you have a blessed thanksgiving 🦃 and that you are able to enjoy your time with your family. Have a wonderful week. Take care and big hugs, my crafty friend!
I so appreciate your feedback, Rose! Thank you so much for the kind words. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving too!💝🦃 And enjoy the rest of your week!
Greetings Christy --- what an absolutely cute card :) !!! --- beautiful job in deed --- a suggestion here if I may be bold ?? --- you could use low tack pixie spray to keep the stencil down in place on the paper ; that way you kind of have the other hand 'free' and the thinner parts don't move --- I was glad that you put the greenery on the sentiment --- really gave it a nice touch --- hope you have a great workweek --- Ann
Soooo gorgeous! Absolutely LOVE the birch tree background, so soft and gorgeous! :) I'm obsessed with cardinals, probably because we don't have them here in Sweden... They are gorgeous! Big hugs, dear!
Oh, I didn’t know you don’t have them in Sweden! So interesting. They are such pretty birds and I love their call. I hear them often at my house in the spring and summer. So glad you enjoyed the card, Rigmor!💖
Beautiful card. We have the Robin as our Winter/Christmas bird here in the UK, I've never seen Cardinals. I love the pinecone colouring, I think the way you coloured them makes them look more realistic. My newest favourite combo for colouring wood, is the E20's. I like to add strokes of each colour using the darkest E29 as my shadow & allowing a tiny bit of white to show. Once dry I colour the white bits E23 to be my highlight. Four shades feels excessive, but looks good. 😊
Very pretty! I agree with you, that color palette is beautiful. ❤
Aw, thank you!☺️ That means a lot!
Super sweet card. Those cardinals are so dang cute. ❤

What a beautiful card ❤ I've never actually seen a female cardinal, so it's nice to get an idea of how pretty they are 😊
The females are definitely special too! But they can be harder to spot than their bright red mates. So happy you enjoyed the video!❤️

Christy! Those Cardinals are the best! Love how you colored them!!
Aw, thanks so much!❤️
Such a great card!! I love when you have birds on your cards. We have a cardinal couple that frequent our feeders and they are so sweet to each other.
Cardinals have really grown on me since I started seeing them in my yard. I love their song! It just makes me so happy when they call to each other.💕

Thank you, Ann! I think I need to get some of that spray adhesive for sure.😊 Thanks for the recommendation!

I agree completely! Sometimes a fourth shade just adds so much pop to a color combo.😊
