    It’s a easy process just read read read and do what the people dem ask for. Also don’t be afraid to call USCIS. Make sure if your Jamaican you have ALL the updated documents as in the newest birth paper, marriage certificate because they will not accept the older ones. T tell mommy a she have to file for your brother the process is easier. She can be the petitioner and you can give the affidavit of support documents.

    Presently going through this with my mother.I got to the point where i just don't bother no more.I don't want to force her to do something she doesn't want to.She's established at home so she just comes on vacation.

    • @tiahnamrose
      @tiahnamrose  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      SAME!!!! Once our parents are established back home it’s really hard to get them to come here. I tell people all the time America is hard, we just have more opportunities here. I just want the best of both worlds for my mom. She deserves it and more. So lie if you must but start the paperwork🫣🤣🤣🤣

    • @randi-j6166
      @randi-j6166 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes.America is no bed of roses by a long shot,however the opportunities are endless once you are willing to work for them...My mom's established back home but my reasons for wanting her to come is for the better Healthcare that we are offered her...
      I'll think about starting the paper 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

    Pretty much read, comprehend and submit the documents you are asked for. Please keep checking your email to avoid missing dates. Sometimes ICIS makes typos so emails my experience recently my email copy was never received. It worked out. The timing for the receipt of the green card was a month and 2 weeks for ss. Thanks for sharing. Love your mom energy. Positive and upbeat so needed especially during the time! Blessings!

    It’s different when you do filing yourself when a file for my parents a used a lawyer so all the paperwork and information go in at once all you have to do is wait for it to approve and send to Kingston when children file for parents it doesn’t take long

  • @hypekay

    When we did our process to come to the United States our Medical was done at Mobay Hope in January 2012. Our Greencard process started when I was in High School and boy it was long and drawn out. My grandma filed for my Mom, and as her children we were also included. I almost aged out of the application process, because I turned 21 before our process got finalized, but because my mom was doing her research and listening to an immigration talk show that aired on the radio in Jamaica, she learned that she could submit paperwork to preserve me as a minor, before I turned 21, so i was still able to meet the requirements to migrate with my mom and my younger sisters. Most persons are not aware of this but research Child Status Protection Act.

    Congrats to you both and thanks for a very informative vlog! I did all my paperwork myself too without a lawyer and now in the process of filing for my parents. They got DQ’d end of May this year and now just waiting patiently for the medical/interview. They both have visas and should be traveling soon for the holidays. I have a question though - can you give any advice as far as health insurance? I have insurance thru my job but my parents wouldn’t qualify under my plan. Trying to gather all the info before they get here. Much love and God bless 🙏🏽

      P.S. These are all individual plans not employer-based.
