Not the only case of a UK show getting redubbed for the US. Happened with Thomas The Tank Engine and Bob The Builder as well.

OMG, same as me, i watched it after kindergarten school.
This is a throwback oh my god I have every tweenies album on CD and the limited edition dolls from McDonald's I used to watch this on Nickelodeon every single day right after Maggie and the ferocious beast and right before Bob the builder It is still one of my favorite Nick jr shows to this day even though it comes from BBC paying for international fees and shipping is worth it for me because I am obsessed with the tweenies

That is because a lady voiced him in the USA version.
I heard it was on the noggin channel and therefore I'm used to the version.
The Russian fizz sounds like the Welsh fizz

The American version is yuck! However on the other hand it does mention Max and Judy in the intro so that is good but I will stick with the UK version thank you very much.
