Back in the early '70s the CB 750 was considered a super bike, the baddest bike you could buy until the Kawasaki Z1 came along. Fast forward to the late '90s and the CB 750 Nighthawk was considered a "beginner's" bike. How times change. Funny thing is, both bikes are still more capable than most riders. And they're still a blast to ride. Congrats Chad, on the purchase of this beautiful example of one of the most significant motorcycles of all time.
One of my absolute favorite bikes. In 1972 I was 15 years old and my brother in law had a brand new cb750 and let me take it riding and my first time out I hit 85 miles an hour like nothing and I was hooked. and I’ve loved them ever since. I’ve owned more than I can count and loved them all. I’m so happy for you guys to find it. I hope you’re able to ride it because that’s one fine bike❤ Congratulations Chad and Jolene 👍 Hey Fina❣️
Congratulations... to you both Chad a Jolene... I have the same bike ... 1971 Honda CB750.. and the original color on this one is the candy gold. I got mine free... 6 years ago... and it was in storage for 15years. The gentleman said I have a bike ... ,and you can have it .. I'll sign the title over to ya ... but I didn't know a thing about them ...or what they were, and worth . So yes !!! ... you have a first of the run of the first superbikes.. 1969 sandcast models are rare ... but the 64hp for 1971 stayed the same .. in 1972... hp was lowered for emissions. I was amazed today you and Jolene were picking up the same bike I have ... and the color... They are ... a real beuitiful bike and a piece of history... Great hunting ... and agreat piece for you collection! CONGRATULATIONS!..To you both.. Quinn Adamarczuk ... love you two! Great show you have !
"Beautiful day in Nova Scotia..." Thx / glad you took us along for the ride. The south shore is great for it's rocky coast. Does Graves Island still have show & shines? They used to have 100's of rabbits @ that Park, and me being from the city / something special was to see a fox during the day (not really at Marriots Cove, but a little closer to Hubbards). I wish I were closer, you can almost smell the ocean :) !
I just have to say this is one of the best YT Videos I have ever seen. Your a great Team. I have friends that had all the early CB 750's. Bought new during that period. I had 71 Kawasaki H1 500. 72 Kawasaki Z1 900 and then had several Yamaha RD 350 and RD 400. Still own Yamaha's and several vintage 70's dirt bikes. Nice Video!
Very good ride. I remember those bikes very well. They were too fast for me. Love Sundays on the road with you two. The seller was a nice man. Best wishes to you.
Very nice bike guys. Looks to be worth about $11K USD , so $15K CND for you. Keep that paperwork and original parts with it for sure!! Awesome show again guys, thanks!!
Great part of the show is the transparency. We feel we can trust you guys. That's not what I feel when watching other car shows. Thanks and great job for the hardest-working couple I've seen.
Jolene and Chad, you guys got a great deal on the motorcycle. The guy you bought from was very helpful, honest, and up front about the whole deal. Fina was there to make sure everything was on the up and up. Great job Fina. Bill
Very nice bike good price 👍. The seller was a great guy and was very fair with his price. He looks like a person who would be a great friend just by the way he treated you and Jolene. Nice video content 👌 👍 👏.
It is great to see you do what you love and share it with others. I had a new 750 Honda in 1975. My brother had a Kawasaki Z-1. With a 16 tooth counter sprocket (down from stock 18) I could annihilate him at 0 to 100. I'm on one wheel almost the entire time. He would always catch me. I got it up to 165mph racing a 66 GTO that would not submit. He blew his engine when he starting losing ground on me. The wind tore off my flipflips and split my sunglasses down the middle. My tank top was a sail and my feet were in the air behind me,. The speedo was tacked, the dials a blur. The front wheel is more horizontal stabilizer than a wheel at 165mph. You're on the rear wheel once you hit 150mph. It was a rush.
Chad + Jolene, you probably know that you can treat the inside of that tank and pour in a coating that will completely restore the function and prevent future rust. Kits for that process are readily available. Very Cool video. Thanks!
He could coat the red tank, then have it, and the red plastic side covers to change the look of the bike in just a few minutes. Keep the green set like this guy did, but give the red set his personal touch. He could even customize the extra old fenders to make it even more of a transformer.
@@2ndborn186 your right, that plastic coating stuff is a nightmare when it fails, and it allways eventually fails, rust is easier to get out of the tank than coating
My Son is treating the tank of a 1980 cb900 10 speed . He is fixing it up for me to ride. It’s turning out very nice. It won’t be long before we are riding again . What a Son ! I’m the luckiest Dad in the World ! That thing turned out Beautiful ! We have been changing things on the 900. He has a Nighthawk 750 and it runs excellent ! I love the early CBD 750 Honda’s !
Good Vid, I'm from Ontario I spoke to the seller this past summer at length on this bike. Bike looks good and it's a 71 which is sought after. It has lots of aftermarket non OEM parts and the colour is terrible never a oem colour. I have two other 71 museum quality ones. Worth spending the $1000+ and get painted back to OEM colour at the least.

I can't wait to see all your amazing cycles up on racks in your Chad and Jolene clubhouse!
You know Chad I'm an old hard-core biker and I can give you some good advice about the tank put some pb blaster and a couple good handfuls of fish tank gravel and give a few good shakes set it in a place that you walk by often and when you go by stop and give it a few good shakes and give a good spray with blaster after a few days of doing this she will be as clean and shiny as new .

Great buy Jolene and Chad.. I don,t have to tell you that keeping the original parts he threw in should stay with the bike to help keep it,s value!! Amazing how bikes have begun to increase in value in just a few short yr,s!!!
In 1970 I bought the first Honda 750 K1 in town when they came out it was the fastest motorcycle on the road at that time. I used to ride it up Hwy 1 from Morro Bay to Big Sur, back then it was a great road for motorcycles. I also had the first Datsun 240 Z in town, I also used to run it up Hwy 1, it was a really fun car to drive. Wish I still had both of them they were fantastic trouble free vehicles.
He introduces queen Jolene every single show. He says I am bad Chad and this is my queen Jolene and she is the camera woman and I am the car builder etc. etc. etc..
I ride a Harley Super Glide but before that a Honda CB750 K2. Honestly the K2 was the best bike I have ever owned and I regret having sold it. I'd like it parked in my garage but man you gotta get a bike licence. I would have riden it home un-registered but I wish you had started it up I wanted to hear it run. Guess thats another video to come! Cheers
hello. i have 2 bikes i am considering selling, but it has to be both together together. one is a 1979 honda CB-750 k that i have done a lot of work on it. the other bike is a 1987 suzuki GSXR-1100 that also i have done some work on. they are basically stock, and in good condition. they have been sitting for about 10 years, but covered. they both ran fine when last rode. but they will need the usual cleaning and set up to get them to fire up. let me know if you are interested in both of them. 🚴♀
Enjoy your Journey where ever it takes you my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless.
It struck me as odd that when Chad & Jolene were leaving I knew exactly where they were. I had lived in Nova Scotia for years (more than 20 years ago) but the scenic beauty of that cove stuck with me even though I lived more than an hour away.
I believe the guy, anyone who has restored a bike knows well the cost involved and to get it back seldom happens, he did a nice job and it being a Honda will be bomb proof, thanks for sharing.
Wow that was one cool find Chad and jolene the bike looks almost new and something like that is just going to increase in value especially when you have got all the paperwork and it's original parts. It's definitely a good addition to your collection. Keep up the great work the both of you 👏 👍
Watching yesterday's show I kept wondering about buying bikes as a hobby for a couple who do not ride. I can think of other investments that do not require maintenance and take up space. And this nice Honda, they didn't hear it run...
My sister and her husband go all over the place scuba diving, they were just in Cuba the last 2 weeks and sent me pictures of all the vintage motorcycles they have running all over Cuba, wish I could get over there and get a few
It’s nice that y’all included the price so if one of us are in the same situation we know what’s a far price to afford and not to over pay or under pay for something love you guys
I love it! When Chad and Jolene go looking for a new project every time Chad goes into a garage he looks around for some of that old stuff or something totally out of the ordinary catches in attention 🤣😅😂
Hey B-Chad, I'm fan of yours from across the puddle, on the Island. I was toying with the idea of selling my Bike. It's definitely high end collectable. If your firmliary with the whole story about how the liter sport bikes came into affect. Do your research, through the 99-00 Superbike manufacturers race. I have a 2000 honda erion racing edition 929RR VIN# 0002. Honda paid tribute to honor Erion winning the 97-98 98-99 honda Superbike season. Their were only 2000 produced, mine being 2nd. I located bike #1 it is in erion brothers private collection. These 929s were only in production for 1year.
Chad/Jolene love watching all of your unedited true to life videos. Nothing fake telling me just the way it is. Thank you. Nice seeing both of you break away from the make believe world to real life thanks for sharing Artie 😊
i wish i lived near you i would love to work on them and ride too.i could could even get you guys ready for a motorcycle drivers license, been a rider for over 50 years. nice collection.
watched last night. Now I will throw something out there. I have enjoyed your show for a LONG time. And yes you are a car guy. So it seems strange that ya like so many bikes. Although not to strange, as I also likes bikes. SO, maybe you should think about cutting up a couple of those bikes. If you were to look at "Wheel's through Time", you will see were some folks like yourself have done amazing things with a motorcycle engine. There is the plane, and the vehicle that was used in an underground mine. I have also seen where a person took a transmission out of a motorcycle and hooked it up with an electric motor and a couple limit switches to use as his garage door opener. Just saying ya do not need the whole bike to make something cool.
I had a CB 400 blue that I got a few 100 for was bought new and was trying to restore ! Broke a post on one of the carbs and couldn’t find parts to replace. Gave up on, think I saw a few towns away! Someone got it going which was nice to know. Hated to part with was an antique but no room to keep
Great bike. Back in my time they would take the exhausts off and replace with 4 into 1. I'm glad that one is original as the 4 pipe exhaust is what I loved the most
Definitely enjoy your videos and demeanor. You both are great and I appreciate the process and the way you guys go about your business and the honesty and information you share with us all. Thank you for Bringing us along, I wish you both well and continued success. God Bless
The teenage son of a family friend bought one of these when they first came out. I was about 10 years old and he gave me a ride and it was really fast, for the time. Later on I club raced AMA formula 1 and 2 and street legalized a TZ250G and a TZ750 and rode them to work in Seattle for a couple of years. Later I pulled the L.C. engine out of the 250 and installed an RD400 motor. More streetable. I only currently have one motorcycle a 77' MT125R2 formula 3 bike. It only has 3 hours on it.
I have been watching you for a long time now and I must say that I really like your new format . I have been in the automotive industry my whole life and seeing you build things really shows your incredible talents . I enjoy the content but it would improve the snow greatly if you just pointed the camera at Jolene ! Keep up the great work!
Do you normally buy things without first starting them up and hear it run? Make sure it's running good and is not knocking rattling. To make sure the motor was sound?
I had a CB750, about the same vintage. I had moved up from a Honda 305 Scrambler. Both were excellent bikes. Unless you did it prior to filming, it appears you didn't even have him start it. I would have definitely made the purchase subject to it running. Maybe you did. Ed
I love watching Chad and Jolene going shopping. Chad you need to get your license! because as much fun as you have looking at it - imagine riding it! With Jolene! What a romantic time, cruising on a sunny day with your lady love holding on tight. 👍🏼 😁
Love the Honda had one in Southern California as a Teen! Then Harkey Davidsons gave me the bug even more! If the gentleman you got the Hond from likes antique one off boats made by a famous American boater and boat builder, give him my contact t if you wouldn't mind. Had no idea you two enjoyed motorcycles also. Anything in Particular? Lmk Thanks for your dedication to great Content Always
Vintage ! Had one when i was 30 yrs old and was the only one in our gang to have one as the others all had Triumph Bonnevilles god am ancient biker these days and saving up for a mobility scooter. Thanks Chad for the memories back in the day god bless you .
love that bike you guys the colour is cool the restoration very good and now its got a good home and will be loved awesome video would like to see more hunt days thanks for sharing Chad and Jolene
I had a 74 that I bought from the original owner, that bike was considered a top dog in its day. Those bikes never go out of style, probably a decent price from what I could see. The green is different, probably worth more in factory color, but the green is nice. I love the bike.
A Beautiful Looking Bike. I Had 2 Honda CB 750 Four K 2s , 1972 Models Back In The Day. One Had A Standard 750cc Motor & The Second Had A Yoshimira 810 Kit In It With Bigger Cams ETC . Talk About Go Hard. I Quite Like The Lime Green Color Myself, Much Better Then The Red . You Should Not Sell The Tank And Stuff, You May Need It At A Later Date & They Are Hard To Find. You Should Have Taken A Trailer With You & Saved 3 Hours To Return & Get It
One of the most collectible bikes in the UK, we had the tank in golden yellow..Also I agree with the others regarding Jolene being so quite, she needs to interact more and you need to film her helping. At least a small clip off a tripod.
Had a 71 CB 750 when I was a younger lad and it was red !! The one one you also want to find is the 69. Honda wasn’t sure how well the bike would sell so they just sand casted engine casing. When they realized how well it was selling, they switched to die cast. The 69 750 can fetch some really high prices !!
MY BLUE HEELER DIED 6MONTHS AGO CHAD LOOKS JUST LIKE MINE. ALSO I HAVE A 1971 CB 750 FOR YOU . THE ONE YOU LOOKED AT THE REAR FENDER IS FROM A LATER MODEL. HAVE A NICE DAY AND I ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO.
Such a beautiful bike. Congratulations 👏👏👏👀 I've a '73 Honda CT90 in really great shape. I've improved it much. And an '82 Honda CM450E. They're alot of fun. Thanks for sharing ⚡👍
The bike that killed the Triumph Bonneville. Art. I remember racing one through some twisty roads in my Triumph TR4 sportscar when I was in engineering school and couldn't stay with it. Always one of my favorite bikes. There is a reason why retro motorcycles are so popular. This is before society lost its mind and somebody thought it a good idea to cover a motorcycle in plastic cladding and place the foot controls way up high behind the rider and put all the rider's weight on his hands and other unmentionables that unless you are a gymnast, you can't tolerate. No idea why you want that motorcycle. Too nice to ride. Maybe take it out once in a while. In any event, it was compelling to watch this video because it brought back so many memories. Yes, this motorcycle cost more to restore than you paid for it. Maybe he didn't pass it a grandson or nephew because he didn't want to see a family member get hurt on it. He sure put a lot of money and time in it as mentioned, just to sell it. A bit surprising really as he looks to be a man of means. To me, the 60's and 70's was the pinnacle of America and this motorcycle and Honda with its smaller bikes was a big part of this era. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Also another few bikes worth collecting if they become available at a good price, they are the 1973 - 1975 Yamaha RD 250 and 350, also the1980 - 1983 Honda 1100R, happy hunting Jolene and Chad, then any time you come across a British Bike, but the 1973 Triumph X75 Hurricane and original 50's Triton 650 are at the top of the list with the likes of Vincent HRD, but beyond the Nortons, Velocette, Rickman, Matchless, the Granddaddy of them all, Brough Superior SS80/100. I also like the 1973 - 1980 750SS/900SS and the 1967 - 1974 250/350/450 Ducati Desmo bikes
Nice to see good old Eastern Canadian Hospitality. Im from the West coast and its the same here for the most part, aside from the pretentious city folk. love your videos!!!
I love watching when the search videos start, Chad does the same thing I used to do and it will never leave, the eyes begin the side-to-side search like lights on a scanner and anything that looks out a place is something to double look, a shiny spot across a field could be the car nobody stopped to see, a handlebar in a pile of junk could be the motorcycle everyone has been looking for, like a good hunter yea don't look for the whole thing yea look for just a part, the rest is usually attached.

I really wish Jolene would interact more with you and others on these videos, it would really add to the overall feel and interest!
Great job guys….
Absolutely we all want more Jolene!
But Chad is the welder!
He introduces queen Jolene every single show. He says I am bad Chad and this is my queen Jolene and she is the camera woman and I am the car builder etc. etc. etc..
@@philipbrailey Jolene is actually a good welder
You can't have Jolene show up too often. She's a major distraction. Who wants to look at cars . . .?
I ride a Harley Super Glide but before that a Honda CB750 K2. Honestly the K2 was the best bike I have ever owned and I regret having sold it. I'd like it parked in my garage but man you gotta get a bike licence. I would have riden it home un-registered but I wish you had started it up I wanted to hear it run. Guess thats another video to come! Cheers
You guys do gooder than Discovery ever did. Much more enjoyable to watch.Thank you for your time.
D is for simple minded people, if u really think about it. Everything is scripted and thats real life right here, not much editing even.
hello. i have 2 bikes i am considering selling, but it has to be both together together. one is a 1979 honda CB-750 k that i have done a lot of work on it. the other bike is a 1987 suzuki GSXR-1100 that also i have done some work on. they are basically stock, and in good condition. they have been sitting for about 10 years, but covered. they both ran fine when last rode. but they will need the usual cleaning and set up to get them to fire up. let me know if you are interested in both of them. 🚴♀
Wow what a great find. You guys meet so many fine people on your road trips. Looking forward to seeing more
Enjoy your Journey where ever it takes you my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless.
We enjoy your day trips very much. What a great guy and what a great buy! You should have grabbed the camera Chad.😉
It struck me as odd that when Chad & Jolene were leaving I knew exactly where they were. I had lived in Nova Scotia for years (more than 20 years ago) but the scenic beauty of that cove stuck with me even though I lived more than an hour away.
Boy that bike brings back memories! So glad to see that you were able to acquire the original tank and fenders pipes. Yeah that’s a good deal.🎉
Keep up the great work the both of you 👏 👍
Love a road trip . Enjoy everyone
Always great to go for a ride with Chad and Jolene hunting for that exceptional buy.
Also, I bought virtually the same motorcycle new in 1973 . Great bike, had it for many years . Loved it
Hey B-Chad, I'm fan of yours from across the puddle, on the Island.
Wow! Great find and thanks for the road trip.
I’m showing it’s worth $11,865.00 So you did well @Chad and Jolene!! Great score!! Y’all stay blessed!!
Great to see you guys having fun 👍
I had a CB 400 blue that I got a few 100 for was bought new and was trying to restore ! Broke a post on one of the carbs and couldn’t find parts to replace. Gave up on, think I saw a few towns away! Someone got it going which was nice to know. Hated to part with was an antique but no room to keep
Great bike. Back in my time they would take the exhausts off and replace with 4 into 1. I'm glad that one is original as the 4 pipe exhaust is what I loved the most
And another fine machine finds a home. Thanks for sharing your experience
Nice purchase and nice gentleman you bought it off of
Great bike and nice Color, one more for your collection 😎✌️
Love the custom colour 💚 ... sure would look nice displayed up on your shop wall above all the custom builds ...
Yup...they're going to need some custom racking to 2nd tier the blossoming new obsession!👍
Definitely enjoy your videos and demeanor. You both are great and I appreciate the process and the way you guys go about your business and the honesty and information you share with us all. Thank you for Bringing us along, I wish you both well and continued success. God Bless
Enjoyed the video and you picked up a great looking bike. All those genuine parts are a bonus.
Good day to all and to all a great day 🌟✨🌟✨🌟
Sweet ride. Looked amazing. He did a good job restoring it.
I have been watching you for a long time now and I must say that I really like your new format . I have been in the automotive industry my whole life and seeing you build things really shows your incredible talents . I enjoy the content but it would improve the snow greatly if you just pointed the camera at Jolene ! Keep up the great work!
That bike might not be the original color, but that green is awesome!! thank ya for sharing your lives with us.
Do you normally buy things without first starting them up and hear it run? Make sure it's running good and is not knocking rattling. To make sure the motor was sound?
Awesome Guys.... cool bike......lots of new parts cant go wrong ....PLEASE BUY A DUCATI...!!!!!!!!...
I had a CB750, about the same vintage. I had moved up from a Honda 305 Scrambler. Both were excellent bikes. Unless you did it prior to filming, it appears you didn't even have him start it. I would have definitely made the purchase subject to it running. Maybe you did. Ed
Every day is an adventure, love it 😎👍
Good looking bike. I like the old classic style look.
I love watching Chad and Jolene going shopping. Chad you need to get your license! because as much fun as you have looking at it - imagine riding it! With Jolene!
What a romantic time, cruising on a sunny day with your lady love holding on tight. 👍🏼 😁
I remember these being everywhere when I was a kid! Loved these bikes!
That is one beautiful bike! I love the colour
Lmk Thanks for your dedication to great Content Always
wow beautiful bike. I have a 79 CB750 I did over a few years back, love the old stuff.
Another awesome piece for the collection. Nice bike
Good find! That iron worker was beautiful, Nice bike!
You are my favorite chanel. I love the way you guys treat fina. You are all the best family!
Vintage ! Had one when i was 30 yrs old and was the only one in our gang to have one as the others all had Triumph Bonnevilles god am ancient biker these days and saving up for a mobility scooter. Thanks Chad for the memories back in the day god bless you
.
love that bike you guys the colour is cool the restoration very good and now its got a good home and will be loved awesome video would like to see more hunt days thanks for sharing Chad and Jolene
Thank you chad an Jolene an fina for shearing your day agian, I aways enjoy spending time with you guys,,luv ya’s,,👍👍😀
My dad had a 550four love these series of bikes. Congrats Chad and Jolean
My dad had a little 350-four. I took it joy riding when I was 15. He sold it shortly after!
I as well had a 550-4.... great starter bike!
Sounds like a good deal. ✅
Thanks for the pleasant Sunday outing 👍
Love the color great find
What a nice clean, easy transaction😊 Everything went smooth…no drama or upset👍 Yee-haw….good day my friend ❤️🙏
I believe Chad and Jolene know how sideways a simple transaction can go. Or getting burned in a deal. It was a good day❤️😊
CHAD I AM GLAD THAT YOUR WIFES SOUND IS SO MUCH BETTER LOVE YOUR BUILDS AND YOUR SHOW STAY SAFE AND THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN.
Nice to see good old Eastern Canadian Hospitality. Im from the West coast and its the same here for the most part, aside from the pretentious city folk. love your videos!!!
I had one exactly like that, it was black with gold stripes. It was fun and fast.
Very cool Chad. I love the color. Just a classic motorcycle.
