Thanks for watching the video and commenting. To my understanding and according to local Trinidadian parlance when ordering a buss up shot we say we want roti skin. Especially if we have mad the accompanying meats and sauces. Many people buy "roti skin" only and we definitely don't just call it a roti as that would not suggest that we only want the dough portion of the meal. Are you from Trinidad?
@@YumRush I’m Trinidadian. If you look at other TH-camrs of Indian decent you will understand that referring to a roti as a SKIN is an insult. If you want a paratha, you ask for paratha with whatever meat or vegetarian dish you order. If you want a dhal puri you say dhal puri with whatever dish. But that’s my two cents. Maybe I’ve lived outside of Trinidad for too long but going to high school or even when I visit, I have never and will never use the word SKIN when referring to a roti. Maybe Wikipedia will help clarify what a roti is. I do enjoy your videos so like I said no disrespect.
Good video but 1) why are y'all standing so close to the actual road? I'm seeing cars moving right behind y'all backs, this could have been recorded more on the pavement or out of the way of others where you can eat safely and not be inconsiderate to drivers at the same time 2) what kind of foodie/food reviewer can't differentiate whether he's eating beef or goat? 🤔
Hey thanks for watching and supporting. We really appreciate it. 1) We are actually on the pavement and not very close to the road. The person taking the video did an excellent job in getting all the angles right so you could see us and the food properly. This reminds me of "objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are." 2) Sometimes we mix up our words 😅. We are human . Thanks once again for looking out for our safety.
Hey thanks for watching. Its spelt Dhalpuri by the way. They never claimed it to be dhalpuri otherwise it would have to have dhal in it, which it didn't. We thank you for supporting us with your comments and we hope you continue to watch our content as we get better over time.

It is "Dosti Roti" Dost is friend, so 2 friends put together in one roti, not daalpuri or paratha
it was dosti i think
With all due respect, there’s no such thing as roti SKIN. It’s call a roti. Chicken roti, goat roti, beef roti, shrimp roti.

They call that 2 in 1 roti or dosety or oil roti brothers
Yea one of us didn't know at the time
Roti does not have skin. Human beings got skin, animals got skin. Not roti folks. It is just simply plain roti. No skin attach.
Thanks for watching the video and supporting with a comment. can we ask where you are from?
Are you a trini? Well I AM and we call it roti skin. Full stop.
