I loved this actor when he filled in before. He plays Nikolas 10 times darker than MC did and that's how a Cassidine Prince is supposed to be portrayed. Brooding, arrogant, impossibly handsome and borderline evil.
There is a Cassadine-esque about this Nikolas that has been missing. I don't mean this as an offense, in fact, I mean it as a compliment, but AH plays eerie well. His version reminds me of Stavros in a way.
Not sure what Nikolas's fate is, but I like Adam Huss. This is not an easy character to portray, but I think he can add depth. I hope this is an audition and that he sticks around.
Some recasts work and some don't. I also like Marcus but he wasn't believable as Nicholas Cassadine. Do I believe they will bring Tyler Christopher back? Who knows. But Adam Huss brings layers to the character as a dark prince that the character has been missing. Nicholas telling Esme that he is the father and not Spencer is risky especially if it brings Esme memory back which will incriminate him.
Would like to see Esme stuck like this for a long while. Just to see her actress's acting chops. And then, when it hits her all at once, it'll be even more interesting to see what path her character takes.
With Willow giving birth today, I wonder if a baby switch is still a reasonable possibility. Esme would have to go into labor soon. Also, imagine if she really does have amnesia and she’s getting this information. Finding out about all her crimes and that you’re the type of person who would sleep with a father and son….if she isn’t faking, I think it’s a lost opportunity for some pov. The show cares so much about reveals, when the journey should be the interesting part.
So is that it? Marcus Coloma is gone for good? I know I am in the minority group who feels this way, but I liked his portrayal of the character. This new (but old) iteration of the character will take some getting used to. I am a newer General Hospital watcher and don’t understand why he was disliked so much.
I think it was a combination of things. Marcus just didn’t encompass the role for me. Nothing about MC felt like the dark prince Nik is supposed to be. Plus, fans were always going to compare him to Tyler Christopher, who previously played Nik and was amazing. Also, Nik is connected to some heavy hitters on the show like Laura and Ava, and it just felt like MC couldn’t match their energy.
I also loved Marcus Coloma, and I'm sorry to see him leave, I have notice some of the viewers will complain about anyone taking over a role, calling the actor/actress nasty names and all. I've seen have they tried to and some still trying to do nu Trina .
Tyler Christopher originated the character playing it for years!!!!!! Coloma just did not play it the way some were used to. Did not have to. Yet, he still never gave the character the essence of Nikolas as he is written on paper. Haus is, to me at least.
I Really don’t like how they have Back the Character of Nick in a Corner. So much so until I don’t see how he can come back from this. I know he is a Cassidine but Wow!!! Even if Tyler Christopher was to come back, I don’t want him to come back to this mess! This is a Huge Mess. SMH 🤦🏽♀️ GH just Drag their storylines to long for me. I can’t with them. That’s why the storyline of Nina Being Willow’s Mother fell Flat because they held it so long.

I like Adam Huss because he brings the mysterious, serious and dark Nicholas something that we recognize in the men Casassadine family 😊
