Always appreciate a 2 car garage! Great living spaces open and spacious feeling. Kitchen looks to have a built in pantry. Garage home entry close to the kitchen, a real plus! Laundry room
Is fine as long as the drier vents directly outside and would have room for a chest freezer. Master Suite is fine, guest room a bit small but there are 2 bathrooms which is great. Mechanical room is on the larger size & unnecessary if 2 mini splits or HVAC system and 1 or 2 hot water on demand (my
Preference) were installed instead. And make that mechanical room primarily a storage area.

Yes, they always put those stupid sinks in, like I don’t have a sink in the kitchen I can use. Freezer space, garage, check.

@ A builder will give you a budget for lighting, kitchen appliances, sink, trim et al. The cosmetics become your responsibility within the budget and extras you pay for them to put in. Cosmetics to me.

I happen to LOVE it and Levolor blinds that work remotely fix your problem with the light. And, if you get dirty, in your yard, like we do, the laundry room is in the PERFECT place. All those doors would face east which would make most of the west side have only two windows. The best thing would be to put the living room "corner" facing Northeast and I would make sure my garage had A/C and heating. And, yes, you can do that. Because it will face the southwest. Trees would help. I just would replace the bench in the laundry room with a table to fold laundry. And a basket underneath to hold dirty laundry with wheels. You could take it all around the house to pick up the laundry. I live in a two-story home, three bedrooms upstairs and two baths. The laundry room is downstairs. So, this is a breeze. It's ONLY 1090 aqft! LOVE IT!

Can't get used to the entry laundry. I would move the laundry next to the mechanical room.

If you moved the kitchen towards the front of the house a couple of feet (which would make the dining area a bit smaller but still plenty big enough), relocated the mech. to the laundry area and put a door in the laundry from the garage you could squeeze a small bedroom or office space in that area. And if all you needed was office space, no extra bedroom, I would look at putting laundry in that space just off the garage, along with the mech equipment and turning the laundry room into said office. For my personal lifestyle, I would chose the office in front because all the nice windows. But, overall, for just over 1000 sq ft, this is a fantastic plan.

I really like this house! Just two comments: I don't see linen closets where you would store towels, sheets, blankets, toilet paper, etc. Also, that's a mighty skinny refrigerator! Love the two car garage.

Nice 👍. The only minor changes I would do is to replace the shower with a bathtub in the master bedroom and the tiles: I'm not a fan of paisley design.

La baignoire dans la chambre principale me manque. Mais tout le reste est bon.

What is the funky door in the bedroom? Does it open to the outside? 0:05

This is a nice house ~ but it is not a "farm" house.
Farmhouses have ducks, chickens, and peafowl pecking on the windows at dawn (and I'll refrain from describing what they would be doing on that porch furniture ... and porches lol). Farmhouses have goat kids or new chicks in the bathtubs, syringes and drugs on the kitchen counters and in the frig, breakfast comes after feeding and watering the animals, and the kitchen requires enough space to process both vegetables and home grown meats ... and a permanent place for a cheese press on the counters. As someone else mentioned, ditch that huge hot water heater in place of 'on-demand' and add more pantry space for all those canning jars. Lastly, all that glass mixed with no reference or other book storage ... "ain't no farmer got time for that"!

Efficient it isn't. The laundry room is miles away from the bedrooms and baths where laundry is generated. The plethora of huge windows is great for natural light but not for heating and cooling. I can only hope that the fireplace is gas with an external air supply. Most of the kitchen cabinets are bunched at one end. One other concern is the rather public location of the door to the family bathroom. Some people are squeamish about having bathrooms open directly into a kitchen.
There are positive aspects to this plan, but efficiency isn't one of them.

Grouping kitchen laundry and a bathroom saves money on wire plumbing and labor. Walking an extra 20 feet with an arm load of t-shirts is manageable and good for blood flow.

@@HossBurger-o6y True, I could carry my dirty bedsheets through the living room and kitchen. But it wouldn't be efficient. The best kind of plan would put the laundry near the bedrooms and baths, which is what I did when I built my retirement home. At my age, every extra step lugging something is a chore!

@Bobrogers99 point taken. I've seen recliners with refrigerators on one side, trash baskets on the other, and commode underneath. If you put that in the shower, mount an outdoor TV on the wall you can do as little as humanly possible and gather moss on the stone that no longer rolls. Struggle is good for the heart and soul.

      And so are windows.
