I hope everyone enjoyed the glimpse at my pointless ship collection. I look at it everyday and pretend like I'm in future space times. If you want your own it's here on Amazon with this referral link: amzn.to/4dzbYdQ It'll come just in time for you to not get any early access.
I'm very interested to see what your honest opinion is of HW3 now its officially released. Nearly every review I've read has not covered whether the issues from the demo have been rectified.
@@WilhelmImperatorRex I ordered mine a year ago as a Fig backer. I wasn't going to, but it was slightly cheaper and I figured I'd be getting it either way so I might as well save a few bucks.
@Corusame I just finished the campaign and tried the other modes... some of the problems got solved. Truth be told though I kind of hated it. None of the magic was there. Made me just want to go back and play the remaster again. HW3 is the wish version of homeworld that tried to be starcraft.
I almost forgot about it since the original campaign of fig page have been long removed. Now I have a steam code for a bunch of useless dlcs and cosmetics and a tracking number for my plastic ship that will arrive sometime in the next three months. But yes, the only thing better than a mothership model is two mothership models, even if one of them got drunk and had to lie down for a moment
Gearbox is really banking on that War Games mode being the next big live service cash cow. I think they'd legit be better off making them into short singleplayer story DLCs because I feel like the mode is going to be abandoned within the first month of release.
@@AbbreviatedReviews yeah, I'll be very surprised if that mode takes off. Even highly successful SC2 co-op mode ended up unprofitable and that was an accidental success. Gaas is such a huge risk - I just don't understand why publishers want it so much
@@AbbreviatedReviews Wargames can be good for replayability as truly rogue-like game mode with any kind of global map like one from the HW2 mod, but... Coop\MP focus was big mistake. One step forward, one step backward.
I’m still waiting for mine. I pre-ordered through Amazon ages ago but got an email saying my order was delayed. I hope I don’t end up getting left in limbo like I have by Zavvi in the past. Pre-ordered an Evangelion figure through them and it just never got shipped, “sold out”. Like what do you mean sold out I fecking pre-ordered it 😢.
I had a hell of a time getting my Remastered version back in the day. I originally preordered it from Newegg and they just never sent it. This one was a fig backer version though.
I am so happy with how the bay door cam out with the magnets holding it together on the ship and the black platform. My only complaint would be the lighting delay after the sound plays.
it feels cheap, but looks good. And nice touch to be able to set up a little fleet for decoration. The stand is solid and will not tumble down easily. Could be better, but its the looks that count, and will be more than sufficient for my exibithion :D
It's certainly distinct from solid resin ships, but considering the size, lights, and additions, it probably would have been well over $200 if they took it to that quality level.
The Second Edition "The Art of Homeworld" was part of a fig backer level that was $300 rather than the $150 for the collector's edition. So what was originally a $60 book when it originally released nine years ago was effectively $150 and I thought it was a rip off. They're basically taking advantage of the fact that the demand was so high that it caused people to scalp it for hundreds of dollars. So that's the only way to get it. If you want to see the cool content it contains though, the PDF scan of it is still out there.
As far as I know, the first and second edition books are the same. Whether they do a "third edition" with Homeworld 3 stuff or a standalone Homeworld 3 art book is still a mystery.
Yeah, it really didn't even need the sound portion. If you set it up displayed horizontally, they're pretty inconspicuous though. But the whole thing would have been better if it used the setup of the Remastered version with a switch on the base.
Can't remember being this disappointed over a game sequel before. They took everything that made the original great and threw it in the trash. The only thing this version has going for it is the graphics.
very disappointed the lower quality of HW3 ships quality... whats wrong with that speaker grill? and the bad usb port position when it could be inside the support easily...
The speaker grill is a weird choice. They could have done without the sound entirely and it would have been worth it to not have the grill. I don't have an issue with the USB port though. Connectors built into solid form factors always seem prone to breaking from simple misalignment. Plus with it set up this way, you could potentially use any kind of stand and plug in a random USB-C to power the lights.
How come Homeworld two ship in new gamę loke same as new ship and ship.mother less Hp and non hiper jump more dum AI atack secend atack go whit big mother ship and game over

The only question i have is, why you already have your Collectors Edition and i just got a code but no box...

NGL: That new mothership module with the open door looks nice AF

It is a bit weird that they delayed the lighting. They probably should have skipped the sound entirely.
Thank you for the fantastic review and funny commentary you have earned another subscriber
I'm planning to design and print something to adapt the platform for the production bay to be deployed in the vertical position
home world collectors edition won't launch remastered how do I fix it
They are gorgeous. Thank you for showing us.
They definitely are. Thanks for checking out the video!
You and I are in the same boat. I also have the remastered collectors edition and a light up pylon. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it
Now I just need some justification to get that Protoss Carrier model that's been out there for a while...
I have an original of the Art of Homeworld and the new Homeworld 3 mothership, but I'm jealous AF of your original mothership
At the end of the day, no one's getting either one at a reasonable price anymore.

Encroaching on Gggmanlives' turf, I see.
I don't know... does he do unboxings of niche collector's editions?

Unwishlisted anyway. Because game is trash.
So you unwishlisted a game you haven't bought because you don't like it and decided to talk about that on a collector's edition unboxing video?
@@AbbreviatedReviews I can hear some ass cracking. Good.
