Bought yesterday a 1874 s trade dollar that I suppose was used as jewelry, necklace to be exact. I'd say to me it adds historical value since there was demonisation it makes sense how it ended up being a jewelry piece. Thank you for the video!
Sir i have 1 trade dollar similar to that a good condition, and one un pesos guatemalan dollar,26 grms, and 3 pcs great britain,d same grams, also a good condition without scratches or damage...its a ancient gold coin...year 1798,1894,(3) 1911 how much each is d value? I will wait for you reply..how can i sell this?
The value of your items is dependent on condition. The best way to find their value is to take them to someone who specializes in rare coins to be evaluated.
420 grains is the weight of the coin which equals 27.2 grams. A Mexican 8 reales was .903 fineness and 27.07 grams. When you do the math the US Trade Dollar had about 1/2 grain more silver.
The value all depends on the condition. The average for a circulated example is probably $150-300 again it depends on condition, if it is closer to mint then the value can be higher.
I would look for a coin shop near you, don't take it to a pawn or jewelry shop, try to find a place that specializes in coins. Take it in and ask them to have a look. They'll tell you if its real and probably offer you a price. You can turn that down (their quote is usually good for a while) and then take it to another shop for a second opinion. If there isn't a second shop near you... or maybe even a first shop then you might want to seek out a coin show (hopefully such things become common again.)
always learning something new. . thanks for the video

I have 1871 USA trade dollar, how much price can it fetch me
The US didn't produce trade dollars until 1873. If you have a 1871 seated liberty dollar the average is about $500 but it all depends on condition.

I have a bag of these most of them are 1872 and 1874 where can i take them???
No trade dollars were made in 1872. Any coin shop should be able to tell you what you have.
What does the 420 grains on the left of the 900 fine mean?

How much did you pay for your trade dollar

A 1798 US silver dollar just has a liberty bust on it.
