Thank you very much for this video! I will start training immediately!... Im am struggeling with the lip trills for a while (being an amateur, havin re-started with the horn 3 years ago after 20 years break)!
Thank you for this guide, I haven't used it yet but I just played mozart horn concerto 3 movement 3 and it has a trill c to d then grace notes of bb and c. I just had to use the fingerings for it because I didn't have time to learn how to before the performance
Bruhs ... all you're going to be playing are lip trills, learn to play them three times as fast as the is showing you (listen to Barry Tuckwell, you will get there).
Hearing your chromatic lip trills at the opening have stuck in my head, to the point that I just have to write a passage for 3 or more horns doing that. The effect is very dramatic.

That is a long break!! Keep at it and be patient 📯 it takes a while to learn properly. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

This channel can not stop 'cuz it's just lit
Endurance essential
These trills kind of remind of the music from the First Matrix Film.
Beast!!! ❤

Nice! I'm curious how would it sound like
Isn't that bit from the last movement of Weber's concertino?
@@austrismusic Very shaky, as it turns out 🧭
Yes!
Where did you get the sheet music for the trill chart
I know it by memory. It's basically the finger combination of the lowest note. Sometimes on the F side and for the higher trills on the B side.
@@austrismusic oh okay, I’m learning it for Mozart concertos
Nice! Everything above C# is played on the B side. The trill from C is F0, B flat is F1, from D is B12 or F0, from E flat B1
It's a jaw trill...keep the lips focused between the notes, wiggle the jaw, and boom...it will work...
Wiggling the jaw alone doesn't move notes around.
Have to wiggle the tongue. That's what matters
@@gregmonks keep the lips focused BETWEEN the notes...and, yeah, it will work. I did it all the time.
@@austrismusic AND the embouchure. It's a group effort.
@@davidcottrell1308 Say wut? Between the notes is out-of-tune territory. I use my tongue.
