No wayyy! I happened to been studying your Stick welding video and realized its from 9 years ago!! I decided to check your channel out and you're still posting, I love it! Subbed and I'll be studying more! (P.S. I have an instructor, but you've shown me more in a shorter amount of time)

For a home shop welder primeweld makes a great welder. I have this specific welder. It’s been buried behind a bunch of stuff in my garage and although I wish it wasn’t, at least I didn’t spend thousands on a bigger name brand welder that would’ve been a bigger waste because I had to have a “big name” brand. This welder came with literally everything needed right out of the box and mine was $750 new at the time. The big name ones usually don’t cone with the extra stuff or are still too expensive when you add the rest. I’ll get back to welding soon, (I usually use a mig welder but bought the primeweld jic) Thanks for sharing!

I got my 225 tig stock I love that machine after not doing any tig for quite a while fired it up made all my settings and made my welds with a little bit of fineness stop and adjust down a little bit. Yah know I have a buddy the is miller only and make all kind of comments about my welder. But I just keep doing my thing. I do t care what he says. Welding 11 gauge steel tubbing.

Every person is going to hate this comment your video start out great for the DC set up , then you started on AC set up I was hoping that you would show what the other knobs all so would be set to as just brought a Boswell TigForce 200pac/dc unit here in Australia that had very little information on how to set up on AC. So far the video's that I have watched on your channel has given great information as how to lay down a stack of dimes thank you for putting your information video's on the net.

Awesome video as always Jody you the man 👊🏻. I say this I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t from you and your videos and podcasts wish they were still going. But this channel is probably one of very few that I learned tons and tons and tons of knowledge from and a channel I don’t get burned out on watching and always enjoy. Also with knowledge I learned and passed it on and knowledge that people I work with have no clue about that have double or triple the experience than I have not saying I’m good or anything just I learned tons of knowledge and am probably more interested in welding than others. It inspired me to try to start my own channel. Thanks for everything you do Jody if you ever need a hand making videos with I’m you man lol actually probably I’m not the best but who knows. 👍

Great video as usual. Looks like a great machine if that's what you need for very technical work. You know we did x-ray work at Bowen, Jack Mack, Widows creek without all them knobs lol. That thing would've been nice at Sequoya, and Watts Bar. Garuntee we've🎉 worked together at a few times. We're you at Hammond when they about a 1/3 section of the downcomer? That made some noise Lol Wish I had an e-mail for you. I grew up in Rome, messed up in a car wreck afew years back. Would love to get in touch through e-mail. I watch almost all your videos. I've even learned some things from you Hugh Green didn't show me way back in the day. God bless, work safe brother.

Jody - Can you do a video on welding gas prices sometime? I own my own bottle and yesterday I go to pick it up from Airgas after waiting 3-weeks for it to be filled. They charged me $116 to fill up my 125CF bottle of 75/25 mix for MIG welding. I'm hearing from other guys on social media that I got royally ripped off. I bought the bottle brand new from Amazon for $395 shipped to my door. I didn't want to lease a bottle because my welding machine is brand new and I didn't want an ugly bottle sitting on the back of my welding cart next to my beautiful new machine. Yes, I'm one of those guys. Can you tell us what to expect as far as shielding gas prices go?

I'm not a foot pedal person. Most places I've worked over the years I've used thumb control. Do you know at Harley-Davidson York, PA they make those poor guys use a foot pedal and stand all day. I can't imagine how that would effect your back and leg joints over time standing cock-eyed all day. I was a weld inspector there before the pandemic shutdown. I had mentioned that I like to use the thumb control when the weld engineer and a few others were there. The weld engineer Matt Dupre got very angry saying I hate thumb control. Very unstable person. He mistreated me a few times while I was there. He had left before the shutdown. Alot of bullying in that place. I loved the job and money but I'd never want to work there again because of alot of the people. Because they have their heads in the sand the tig welders have to use inappropriate welding methods.
As for the welds they only want the barely acceptable not top quality. I had to reverse my welding logic. I saw frames with holes or partially missed welds. I had what I saw fixed but I only saw 1 frame per weld cell per day. What went out before and after I looked who knows. Scary thought being those bikes vibrate more than any other on the road.
You do very good welding. You are very good at talking to people in these videos. I see no 'better than thou' in you and personality making it a joy to watch your videos. Very helpful!
    #1 weld account on TH-cam!
    Thank you!
