Thank you very much! For anyone who is replacing a cracked M8 screen I strongly suggest you buy a used M8 and just transfer the main circuit board, much easier than replacing just the screen.
Good video for the most part. Had me confused during reassembly as you show the ear speaker upside down and I removed the black plastic piece on the daughter board needlessly because of what your video showed. Thanks for the parts that did help me.
HOLY COW. Thank you for helping me realize... fixing my wife's phone is out of my league! It was dropped in water, and has the dimm out problem (screen goes black but phone still works fine). I am not even going to attempt this brain surgery.
To everyone who would like to try to do repair on their own. Its not that complicated as it seem just purchase good tools on ebay (approx 10 USD). Repair is not harder than on other phones Ive replaced battery and it took me approx 30 minutes.
Hello! As soon as possible i need to know a think about the upper front part: the camera is protected by a lens, is the lens on the camera, or is it sticked to the front upper part? Please be quick i need to know !
Hi there, I have an issue with g sensor, flash, proximity sensor and ambient sensor not working since I took the back panel off my htc one m8. They all work again when I take it apart and for a while when I put it back together. Are the components all together? And where are they all located? Thanks in advance
I just got a screen and lcd replaced by so phone doctors and now the on screen keyboard is messed up, when you try to press the letter A the letter Q appears in stead, and its like that with a few letters, is that a messed up screen/lcd that they put on or is it something they didnt plug in all the way? can you please let me know so that I can tell the technicians before they start giving me excuses, thank you very much, great video by the way
***** oh ok thanks, I realized that its not just the keyboard that malfunction but everything else malfunctions in that corner of the screen, so probably bad part like you said.
Wonder if you can help - HTC One stuck in reboot loop (HTC Logo, then off again etc.) and even though I get the help screen up now and then, it just goes back to Logo screen when I try to choose an option. Do you think I need to disassemble and replace on/off button part?
Hey buddy. My headphones got stuck inside the headphone jack internally and I haven't been able to pry it out successfully. Will I be able to see the headphones stuck inside internally the moment I remove the lcd? If that's the case, removing it would be a much easier process since I have tried everything. Please let me know! Thanks
Hey, I have an HTC one M7 and went to get the camera replaced because in low light I was getting a purple fog. Now, with the new replaced camera in day light I get a green fog. Why is that? Do you think they used a low quality part instead of an original part?
I was waiting to see if you would separate the screen. I have an M8 and it fell in water. It continued working at first but then the screen stopped displaying. The phone works fine it seems because i can hear notification sounds, i can feel the vibration when i touch the screen or turn it on and the LED light is blinking. I don't know what exactly in the phone is malfunctionnig. Is it the ribbon cable or something? how is it fixed? +etradesupply
Can you put the "Covering" on the Speakers just back on ? Or do you need Glue? (because he heats it in the beginning i assuMe that there is glue) Sorry for Bad english....
Hey, my htc screen is weird af. It acts like there's a ghost that presses on random parts of the screen constantly, even when I'm not touching the screen. Also a narrow strip of the screen on the right side it completely unresponsive. It the harman kardon edition. Do u have idea what this is or how to fix. Thanks
Spyros Handrinos maybe, i'm not sure for your simple describtion, but you can ask him to reconnect the flex cable ribbon actually. usually it's the cause
I stuck an iPhone 5 sim holder on the HTC M8 sd card holder. No sim in it. NOw it is stuck. Is there a simple way to remove it? Is a complete tear down necessary?
+Gino Punsalan Hmm..Interesting issue. If the tray is not all the way in the slot you maybe able to use a thin pair of tweezers or other tool to get the tray unstuck. Otherwise opening up your device is the other option, but even opening your device is not guaranteed to solve the issue. If you still have issues send us a message, and maybe some pictures, to our facebook page: facebook.com/etradesupply
I opened up the M8 but was unable to remove the iPhone sim tray. I ended up, chopping the tray and got the piece out. When I reassembled the M8, I got vertical lines and coloration rendering the phone useless.
you mean replace the volume button? it's with the rear housing, you just need to separate the rear housing and LCD screen assembly, then remove the volume button.
Hi, sorry the volume rockers are hardly can be bought alone, they are comes with the rear housing cover.www.etradesupply.com/htc-one-m8-rear-housing-blue-htc-logo-with-words.html
Hi, I dropped my HTC One m8 in water and it broke the mother board, how/where sould I fix it? I live in Brazil and nobody knows how to fix it. PLEASE HELP ME
Harman kardon edition, charging port/cords tend to quit working first. after about 2 years it started getting a little buggy, slow, restarting. had it on power save mode and when I take it off it would drop from 20% to 5 or less. now its on some sort of restart menu screen since yesterday, its giving me directions in eng/Spanish and some other language as it simply sits with a black screen about how to operate for the blind. will give me "send report" error message every second that I click out of it. phone is fucked.
I guess make sure then phone is off first then hard reset with power+vol down or up not sure, works OK now. but make sure u remove your SD card first it will wipe your memory clean
im replacing my charging port and I have a rubber piece im not sure where it belongs. its not the price you pulled close to the camera. its a different piece.
um alright i have a weird one but, i dropped my phone from knee hight and it stopped working. when i plug it in it gives me the charging sigh as if it was off but then it goes black again. and i cant just turn it on i tried...any ideas?
Thank you very much! For anyone who is replacing a cracked M8 screen I strongly suggest you buy a used M8 and just transfer the main circuit board, much easier than replacing just the screen.
Why not just replace the screen so you gain the experience. Higher risk at the same time but I just love a challenge.

+TK Mair seems like a little complicated if you are not familiar with the repair jobs, you can choose to send it to the repair shop instead.
thnks for the video...your videos save many technicians life ...bravo ...keep it up
Thanks, I used this to replace my charging port! It works great again :)
glad it helped.

I'm finding 1/2 copper foil tape online. Is that what you need to replace the silver tape?

+Fairymagic01 We suggest you to check whether it's software problem or not first. Try factory restore to see if the problem can be solved. Good luck!

The area around the Sim of the back cover isn't snapping over the phone. How do I know it's not going to break if I press harder?

+Nope Nope Did you ever drop your phone before the problem happened?
this happens to me when my palms are wet and the sweat touches the screen
I had my screen replaced by a professional. After that the earpiece (speaker) makes cracking noises. Do you think the speaker is loose?
Spyros Handrinos maybe, i'm not sure for your simple describtion, but you can ask him to reconnect the flex cable ribbon actually. usually it's the cause
My phone got a small dent that makes the volume up button stuck stuck in the case, what is the fix for that?
Hi , My Network Signal 0 Can you tell me wich part should i replace? Thanks
oNNN1 - The antenna or some parts damaged on mainboard
Yeah but i didnt find any part for antenna assembly :S
could an m9 battery fit in an m8 ?? they both appear to be the same, with only a slight difference in capacity
actually there's no one tried that, though they appear to be the same, but we do not recommend exchanging their batteries to each other.
great video! still managed to fuck it up completely by cracking the screen...

+ETrade Supply My HTC one m8 takes blurry pictures and the camera makes squeaky noises while vibrating is it my camera?
I opened up the M8 but was unable to remove the iPhone sim tray. I ended up, chopping the tray and got the piece out.
When I reassembled the M8, I got vertical lines and coloration rendering the phone useless.
I want to re solder my bottom speaker it came off an on and I think it's loose
Where did you get the first song?
I assume all of this is necessary for a volume rocker replacement?
you mean replace the volume button? it's with the rear housing, you just need to separate the rear housing and LCD screen assembly, then remove the volume button.
Damn, looks like I've got a big repair ahead of me! Do you sell volume rockers? Or are they apart of the SD housing
Hi, sorry the volume rockers are hardly can be bought alone, they are comes with the rear housing cover.www.etradesupply.com/htc-one-m8-rear-housing-blue-htc-logo-with-words.html

have you tried calibrate the gravity sensor in Settings and reboot the phone?
+ETrade Supply nvm it's working now
HELLO WHERE IS THE HARD DISK?
I guess make sure then phone is off first then hard reset with power+vol down or up not sure, works OK now. but make sure u remove your SD card first it will wipe your memory clean
yes, you're right, make sure take out your SD and SIM card out before any repair work.
Now put it back together
Does this harm the phone?
I thought of replacing my battery which started to drain very fast lately..... Not worth doing it. Forget about it.
Now I understand why a shop asked me 100 Euro for just working on the battery change...battery excluded obviously. Got back to nokia 3310
This is vivisection!
im not doing this
im replacing my charging port and I have a rubber piece im not sure where it belongs. its not the price you pulled close to the camera. its a different piece.
i wonder if that's the protective rubber piece covering the screw that connect the battery connector with the motherboard.
I jesi li uspjela? :P
Thank you so much for replying back to me. I was able to figure it out after a little while and it was that was for that exact spot :)
Good
I can take it apart, it's putting it back together that's the problem.
Fuck this phone. Charging port took a shit. One of the levers broke off while taking it apart. Very difficult to take apart. you've been warned.
Same charging port issue. Now battery is dying :/
I feel like I'm doing surgery on my own child
After working on it to try to replace the battery, the phone doesn't work altogether. Two new display replacements and this thing is confirmed dead.
Take main board out and put it in another M8, worked for me!
One of the most useless phones i have ever used; numerous errors and a substandard battery. Wouldn't recommend it to even my enemies.
Where did you get the first song?
