Brilliant pairings! I'm impressed. And you get a shiny stone for your enabler's pin because you are the reason I bought Emblemata. It's still sitting in "quarantine" (a horse business practice for when you bring a new horse onto your farm) with a crystal on it. I always let new decks sit for a few weeks to pick up the energy of me and of my environment. They tell me when they are ready to go to work. Great video!
That is an excellent idea! Tarot of the Cloisters was purchased secondhand, so I very well might do the same thing and leave it alone for a little while to absorb the energy of my room. I hope you love it! Keep me updated! ❤
The Aztec Tarot is truly gorgeous! Every time you bring it out and show it, Im so pleased to see the line work and colors. The artist did a stunning job. I love how you think through your decks. The intention is beautiful and inspiring.
This year, I’ve been trying to figure out a purpose for each of my decks in my collection. I've been keeping track of how I use them and categorizing them, which has been super helpful when I'm looking for a specific reading. Although I know that any deck can work for any type of reading, but it's nice to have a note of what I usually reach for and for what.
I find that knowing a deck's "place" really helps me significantly in making sure that everything gets used equally. It's important to me that I use what I have because I believe each deck can teach me something. 💖 The basic structure I used when I first got started was actually based on Dawn Michelle's Tarot village hashtag. I kept a running list for a while of where I thought each deck "fit" (granted this was when I had only like 20 decks), and I added categories and purposes as my practice deepened and I learned what I need. If you haven't seen those videos, they're totally worth watching. It's to date my favorite hashtag that I've ever seen on TH-cam!
I LOVE the Tarot of the Dead - it’s such a cheeky deck! I also adore the Prophet Oracle, as well. Tarot of the Cloisters is gorgeous! 🤩 I don’t have the LoTR Tarot and I don’t know why. It’s one of my favorite (book) series ever! Awesome little haul, and beautiful pairings!
Cheeky is the perfect word for it! It's been throwing me wild cards left and right, but I like a deck with a lot of spunk! Strangely I've never read or seen any LotR besides The Hobbit, but I'm very excited to - especially after hitting it off so well with this deck! Thanks for watching!!
Hi Kaite! It’s been several months since I have watched any tarot videos. Happy to be back. I need to catch up on your videos. I’ve been feeling same as you about possibly buying too many decks right now. I stopped buying decks for many months but lately I’ve been really enjoying buying decks. I just bought the tarot emblemata, but I have the different version than you do. Mine has the black background. I’ve really been enjoying it! Love the pairing with the Lord of the rings tarot. Good to hear your voice again!
Hey, Megan! It's really great to hear from you. I tend to buy in waves, so I guess this is my spending wave. 😅 I'm mostly slowing down though. 💗 I like the black edition a lot! It seems like it would pair nicely with a lot of things. Thanks for watching! 😊
My best friend is a really talented thrifter, so she bought it for me. I do a little crochet but am not quite at this skill level yet! 😊 Thanks for watching 💗💗💖
Tarot cloisters I've heard of but never looked at, however some of the things you pointed out in the deck was so interesting about the images and makes me take a double look at it.
When my friend told me what deck she bought me, I was shocked she managed to find one I'd never heard about considering how much YT I watch, haha. I think it's a bit of a hidden gem based on my first few pulls!
Emblemata paired with Lord of the Rings was really nice. I have Emblemata in purgatory right now because it really doesn't fit in my practice. I do love the separate larger guidebook, which I plan on keeping. After watching you I think I should reevaluate if it can fit in now. Thanks for sharing.
I can't believe I missed the larger guidebook option considering I stalked this deck from start to finish. 😝 Very good to know! Definitely adding to my Christmas list! Thanks for watching 💖🥰
What an absolutely divine little update. I am a huge fan of both Tarot of the Dead and Tarot of Cloisters. I have an older version of Tofthe Dead given to me by Julie from Peekaboorose. It's beautifully modded, and I just enjoyed the imagery. I never thought to use it as an ancestor deck, I will be exploring the practice this year. My copy of Cloisters was also given to me by a very close friend. She got it in a garage sale haul with a couple other AMAZING oop decks, like a copy of the oop Llewellyn Buddha Tarot. I just recently got Ink and Intuition also in a lot from Honey-Lou, I was never really interested because I was a fan of a couple of other tattoo style decks (I love Jamie Sawyer) but I think it's really really exceptional. Looking at the Lord of the Rings Tarot made me miss Del Toro, I let it go too early.😢 If you decide you are done with the Arthurian, I would love to trade for it! 😅
I love that you got Cloisters from a friend as well! My dream is to one day find a big bag of decks at a garage sale. Luckily for me, the same friend I mentioned thrifts about 3 times a week, so I think my likelihood of finding decks out in the wild has shot up significantly since becoming her friend. 😜 I am still figuring out how I feel about Ink Intution! It doesn't always give me the straightest answers, but that's okay - I just heed to figure out it's style. I'll definitely keep your offer for Arthurian in mind. 🙂 Thanks for watching, Tami! 💖
Hi! Thanks for asking. 🙂 The Aztec Tarot was created with the primary intention of illustrating Aztecan culture and the secondary intention of being used in divination according to the creator's foreward in the guidebook. Therefore, it's important for me to match it with other decks created with the similar intentions such as the Jade Oracle. I own a lot of decks that feature Catholic symbolism (as I grew up Catholic), but it feels more appropriate to match Aztec and Jade together as opposed to my decks which contain Christian symbolism. Thanks for watching!

I didn't know there was a separate, larger guidebook! I'll have to explore that now!
Thanks for watching!
@@MoonflowerMomentsomg that guide book is so good! Love that pairing, I have both and never would have figured that out 😅
