- In this episode of Hermitcraft, PearlescentMoon turns to expanding Twinkly Trash yet again with the brand-new minigame, BIN-GO!
I pull Cub and Cleo on board to beta test our new game in order to win valuable armor for their museums. Yet, how could BIN-GO possibly include collecting heads from both of them...? Hmm...
The Cleaning Lady also has a few tasks to complete in/around Scarland. We have a lot to do!

I know the whole point is that you eventually put lava in the dispensers but I think Lava Pearl running around killing people at the end of the rounds is way funnier
I'm very tempted to make a switch that toggles manual/automatic modes to allow for that kind of kill :')
@@PearlescentMoon In addition to the single items suggestion, you could put panes of light Grey stained glass in empty chest slots. They'd still look empty, but it would keep players from switching items to other chests. You can change the notebook sounds by putting different blocks beneath them, too, to make them easier to recognize amidst the chaos. I also like the 4x4 idea, but that might make for long games. Overall though, this is a great idea, and I can't wait to watch hermits play the finished version. Will you be putting up coupons for store items and/or cleaning jobs as prizes? 🤠👍

Also, I loved that pearl showed the test run of the game- it felt really genuine, like the audience gets to see how the game changes with testing
About your office at Scarland, it is important that you take note at the green and grey colours, Scar is using those in that way, because that's a technic used in themeparks to make the back areas less noticeable from the guest area if it happens to have an uncovered area.
Can we take a moment and appreciate Pearl and her well-put videos.. the quality of her vids are always up to par, they don’t feel rushed or all over the place.. I personally love episodes that go for 20-30 mins, anything less than 20 feels short.. her small clips of narration- explaining stuff, makes her vids unique and just feels organized.. she also tries to keep everyone updated about her uploads and progress which makes me appreciate her and her efforts sm 🙌🏽 keep up the amazing work Pearl!!

She didn't Optimize with the unfinished redstone.
She did Automate though but still unfinished.
And she definitely did Thrive.
Overall she's a great disappointment to The Great Goatfather and definitely could have done more. It's a good thing The Great Goatfather is away on a diplomatic mission. Otherwise he'd have sentenced her to a week in the perimeter killing slimes.

Eggsplanations*: Pearl had the original egg. Grian borrowed egg to dupe a couple for his collection. When Grian and Scar blew up Doc's tunnel borer, Grian gave an egg to Doc as an apology. Doc got the purple crown, baited Grian into blowing up Mumbo's door, to which Poultry Man and HoTGuY decided to egg Doc's hole with 10,000 (est.) chickens. Doc created an egg-duping machine using the egg Grian gave them, capable of creating 112,000*ish (aka many many) eggs per hour, and egged them right back, with Ren only assisting a little with placement of said eggs.
Edit: Grian had Zhed blow up a small bit of a wall in Doc's base for an egg-related quest, which caused Doc to bait Mumbo's door. Now I believe that's everything
Edit 2: Also forgot to mention Doc's witherhead prank on Scar from the tunnel borer incident.
Don't forget Grian and Scar's chicken making machine that used many many eggs.
Bin-go is such a cool concept! The building is so cute, and the name is perfect!
There is no 'just' when it comes to cleaners! custodial staff are the unseen backbone of the world XD also bin-go looks like heaps of fun!
The name is perfect. It implies the players are trash bins and whenever the door opens the bin goes!
A very creative twist to Bingo! One suggestion is to put in a little noteblock tune or something similar so that players can know how much time they have by learning the tune. Think something a bit similar to the "game about to end" tune from MCC.
I have a current thought in my head that I'd love to commission some custom music pieces for it if it turns out to be a smooth running game :D That hopefully would get it I reckon'!

Hey Pearl, please dont ever feel the need to apologise for a delay between videos, you always put in so much effort to make videos which are high quality, never releasing a dud (well done!) and I personally always prefer that, it means I get excited when one of your videos drop as I know its going to be good, both with the quality of the videos themselves and your amazing builds.
Watching the Bingo game from various perspectives was a delight. There are times when you can just hear the smiles on people's faces, and this was one of those times. Just listening already made me smile, and then seeing the hijinks ensuing made it even better. I really enjoyed it and it made for a delightful video.

I absolutely love how Pearl's builds are not a big rectangle and feel build-shaped. The asymmetry is amazing!
Good call on having the bingo cards be retextured pumpkin heads. That got me thinking, next HC season, instead of having Beef grind out the cards, he should just retexture some pumpkins so Hermits can still play TCG. This doesn't feel cheap to me as the amount of work he put into TCG is more than the average player will ever put into Minecraft.
Might be fun to put valuables in the bin room, and let the winner keep whatever they grabbed during the game (assuming your only allowed to grab 1 item per door open)

Can't wait to see the full Bin Go game the chaos will be so much fun to watch and Pearl a small suggestion maybe you should have a partner in eliminating those that won't be able to get out cause if all seven get trapped it may be difficult for you but that's just a suggestion. The episode was lovely as always.

getting to be there for a lot of the behind the scenes that went into making bin-go made the episode even better!! obviously i don't know whether or not you would've end up building the spectator's area anyway, but the fact i suggested it in a stream & you went on to build it makes me really happy! :>

The bin-go game needs a bit more CHAOS! It needs a hostile mob to keep players running, panicking, amd quick glansing at the chests. I'd recommend a magma cube or two so that it can survive the lava resets.

The building looks great and I'm glad the Bin-go turned out well! It'd be awesome if the server have had like a dedicated "entertainment" center where various hermits made their own games. But also them popping up sporadically is good too

>if all the chests had every slot filled with 1-5 blocks per stack, it'd be excitingly tricky to parse the sea of individual blocks
>if a few chests in the center shuffled amongst each other constantly, there'd be a high-risk-high-reward factor for going with something you couldn't memorize but ||might|| pop up something you haven't found yet
>use a custom music disc for the timer for personal flair, countdown tension, and musical-chairs vibes

I think that changing the Bingo cards to 5x5s with a free space in the middle would be the best. This would increase the chances of an item on their card being called and make it so they only need 4 or 5 items in a row instead of 9 specific items. Also a 5x5 is what most people are familiar with for Bingo.
PS if you do change the item stacks to single items you should have multiple of each item or else someone taking the only copy of an item could lock someone else out of winning and potentially put the game in an state where no one can possibly win.

I liked that lava skin. I know that lava is incredibly destructive and deadly when it just sits there, so seeing the lava actively run to its victims and chop them to pieces is something else. :)

Some fun additions I think could make this minigame even crazier is if you increased the bingo card to a 5x5 and not every item will be guaranteed to spawn in a chest. Instead maybe 7 random blocks spawn, along with other blocks that are like the one they need, but aren't. For example, the card could require a birch log, but the chests could spawn stripped birch logs, birch planks, or birch slabs. Instead of coal, chests could also spawn charcoal, black dye, and another item that could be mistaken for coal at a glance since players don't have much time to double check what they grabbed is the real deal.
Traditionally bingo only requires you to finish a row, column, or diagonal line of the required items or numbers. What if you made say 10-20 bingo card variations and each player is randomly given one of the variations. That way they aren't all hunting for the same thing. You want to give enough elements to this type of game to provide players a chance to strategize. Cause I know hermits like Grian, Etho, and Tango are gonna over think their strategy and things are bound to get silly as a result.
Another thought is if more than one player gets stuck inside the main room that there is maybe a 10% chance that one of them will be given a sword and tasked with killing the other hermit. If they manage to kill them before the doors reopen, whatever blocks the dead hermit had on them could be stolen.
Whatever you decide I'm sure will be a ton of fun to watch and I can't wait for more hermits to get in on this mini-game.
note block dings at 10 second left and 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 would be great additional cues for the timer!

I’m sure you considered this, but it might be cool to make the chests look like trash cans or dumpsters so the hermits are like dumpster diving in BINgo. Either way, awesome build!

For Bin-go, could you have a mascot of a dog named Bingo. It could be part of a family with Bluey, Bandit and Chilly.

Some suggestions for potentially improving your cool bingo game: You could use different storage spots besides just plain chests. I think that could make things a lot more interesting. Especially if you utilize some of the more obscure options.
Imagine having alays flying around with items. Some of them holding shulker boxes with even more items. A minecart track with a chest minecart racing around that they need to catch. Or even a hopper or furnace minecart! Chiseled bookshelves, flower pots, dispensers, smokers, item frames, armor stands, or even a fox! You could even put extra lava buckets in the floor traps in case a bucket of lava is an item on their bingo card. There are lots of interesting options. :-)

Had an idea for a future minigame you could make. Dumpster Divers. Contestants jump into a makeshift over flowing dumpster that is actually a dropper minigame with platforms randomly all the way down. Each platform would have a random amount of different blocks and contestants would have 3 minutes to drop as many times as possible and gather blocks along the way. If they die they can try to recover the blocks as they keep dropping. After 3 minutes they must use as many of the blocks they grabbed to make a build. For more complexity a specific block could be named that must be used in the build or even a specific style of building.
I don't know why, but one of my favorite things in your videos is how you fly around as you zoom out at the end of your videos. Fits the music really well also! Love it!
Idea for bin-go: you should give the participants have wooden or iron swords/shovels to let them take a bit more damage during the "grab your item and go back" phase if they choose to fight
The sky rats entrance at the end in Scarland was classic, not Scar safe but that isn't a Scar fault "this time".

Twinkly Trash is S9's version of The Barge. It just keeps slowly growing more and more as the season continues. We are now in the "I'm going to use this shop to create games" portion of the store expansion. Although I don't think Pearl is sweeping in the diamonds like Grian did with The Barge.
In the room behind your desk you can use empty bookshelves to make file cabinets. Love your channel!
Be sure to remind Scar to hire more cats for Scarland, especially in the maintenance areas! 🐈

The the overhead bridge in the shopping district, reminds me of the town i grew up in.
PEARL Build a water system that connects to everyones base which connects to their 'trash bin'. When they put items inside it gets sent to the garbage facility and automagically tossed into the flames. You might be out of work though so your call 😂
Custom disks would be so nice for time keeping and atmosphere setting, im just imagining a game with 7 players and kahoot music in the background. the amount of stress and shouting would be hilarious

I dunno if you want suggestions, but I feel like a cool feature for Bin-Go could be that after you kill a player a certain amount of times, the amount of time they have to get an item decreases. So like if you killed a player 3 times, they have 10 less seconds to get the called out item from the chests. If you killed them 5 times, they have 15 less seconds to get the called out item from the chests, and so on. Just an idea! :D
Twinkly trash better have an air purifier built in those tubes because that's an awful lot of smoke you got there, wouldn't want to pollute the air
