You only looked at half of the reel. You missed removing the anti-reverse. Clean and regrease all the gears and oil the bearings along the main shaft. You mentioned you sprayed it with water, so it is probably just corrosion and gunk in the bearings along the shaft. Nothing looked bent or out of the ordinary in the video.

I wouldn't think it would corrosion within a week of use i already experienced issue with it. Only the gear box is binding up not the top drag part of the reel.

@@Life-in-South-LA504 If it is that new, maybe you can return it for a refund. I have the same reel but 2500 size and it is been good for over a year. I only fish freshwater with it so far.

@@steellust1888 Unfortunately, I lost the receipt, and paid cash for it, I paid $20 for the rod and reel combo, not a big deal, just need to find a new reel for the rod. Just very hesitant about getting these product line again, going to stick with Penn to be safe...

@@Life-in-South-LA504 Yeah, the Sienna is a good cheap reel, but it is not sealed. Water will get in and kill it. The Penn Fierce is a much tougher reel.

@@steellust1888 Yeah, I got two of those in 4000 and 5000 size, I need another reel in 3000 size. I've had Penn Persuit IV 3000 as a starter combo, they were solid until a fish took it into the river with it. :(

"Broked"? You've still got 9 years 11 1/2 month warranty left.
I use sienna reels exclusively and they've been really reliable and great value. Shame you're suggesting people don't use them because you cooked yours.

I think it might be defective when I bought it from Walmart, only used it 2-3 times , catches a few few small white trouts and croakers, started noticing it's binding up. However the 2500hg one I've been using for a while and reeled in some 15lbs softshell turtles no issue. Sad I only had it a few weeks but lost the receipt for it.
