You'd be wrong about the drummer being high. He's a born again Christian and doesn't do substances or drink for that matter. He's high on life.
I believe he said, "he's hype."
@@googlesux666 then he'd have been better saying "Hyped" correctly...
None of the band do substances.
Yeah, it's well known that Iron Maiden is a completely sober band. You can easily tell by how healthy and energetic they look on stage. I'm 50 years old and I remember listening to them before I even became a teenager. Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer, also pilots the plane himself whenever the band goes on tour.
@@mwv7328 Bruce doesn't pilot their tour plane anymore. He's too old now by law to fly commercial liners.
A band from England writes a song about the freedom of Scotland. HUGE BALLS RIGHT THERE!
Because they are free people without stupid indoctrination about religion, nationality, race, ethnicity
And does so ironically aping a term associated with slavery in the states lol

The great Bruce Dickinson. 65 beat throat cancer and still touring sounding basically the same. Badass
250.000 people on that day! I was a 10 years old little boy with my parents watching that full of joy. It was my first show ever! Still my favorite band and always will be! ❤
Have a drink every time flawd says "this is crazy". This tha first time y'all hear MAIDEN? Seriously bout almost all of their jams are masterpieces 🙏
The Worst thing about Iron Maiden is that I watched my first concert only this year June in Hannover. Unbelivable level of perfomance they still delivery. It was very hot and sweaty that day, concert was in a closed arena, I nearly passed out during the last song since I hadn´t drink in 3 hours to keep my spot in the front. had to leave mid the last song. And yet, those guys in their late 60ies rocking the stage.
No one beats Maiden live. Seen them live 30 times since 1981. Can't wait for Future Past Tour 2024 North America.
I saw them this summer, and man the set list is crazy!!
@@PixelatedSpirit yep. 5 songs from Somewhere In Time. I saw the original tour in 1986. Looking forward till they come back to the states in 2024.
You're absolutely right, no one beats Iron Maiden live. I've obviously heard many other bands live, but when it comes to Maiden is just... different and special...
Saw Maiden 17th time this summer. Was a blast! Again!
Hiiii ,they sing this masterpiece in this tour? The Clansman? I hope yes!!!
You can't beat iron maiden, Bruce's vocals are pristine n priceless
And I love blaze but I have to admit Bruce rape this song
Greatest metal band ever! They helped define what real metal is.
together with black sabbath...
I’m a 51 year old metal head from the 80’s and every few years or so I gotta have an Iron Maiden fix. My ears want to hear nothing but Maiden for a few days or weeks (it varies). I think your reaction just kicked my next fix off! Thank you!
For me it's the other way around. I'm 53, I've been listening to Maiden since the early 80s and I can only get away from it for a few days at most. I've been listening to them pretty much my whole life. ^^
Man I'm 23 and Maiden has ALWAYS been a part of my rotation, doesn't matter what I'm into at the time lol
Blood brothers from the same concert is a fckn masterpiece!
Bassist - Steve Harris (Founder & primary song writer of this band. Also he is world's no.1 heavy metal bassist. You can google it.)
Vocalist - Bruce Dickinson (A man with many talents)
Guitarist - Dave Murray, Adrian Smith & Janick Gers (They're seriously amazing)
Drummer - Nicko McBrain 🔥
Iron Maiden is one of greatest heavy metal in the world. All members are very talented & energetic. If you wanna know more about this band then don't forget to visit wikipedia.
Up The Irons From India. 🤟🔥🤟
Nicko McBrain (the Drummer) is the happy face of Iron Maiden, he's always playing with a Smile.... Up the Irons
Your comment "I'll never understand how they do this shit" is exactly what I've been thinking the last 30 odd years following them. Just too good.
watch the whole concert because they do this the whole show
I was 8yo when I saw this live with My father. What a great memory I have watching this concert. ❤️
Ok, ok. Wait a sec though. That's awesome that you both enjoyed the performance - this has to be one of the band's greatest gig but we have to deliver some facts here.
The Clansman isn't even their greatest hit (originally sung by Blaze Bayley, on Virtual XI album), so you should definitely check some of their other stuff. The "celtic vibe" is done with a purpose for the song's theme but not every track they created is like that.
Next thing - Iron Maiden is a heavy metal band while Nightwish is symphonic/gothic/power metal band. Different genres to be honest but I understand that it may be hard to dig the differences. ;) No roasting from me by the way. The Irons are legendary and it's cool that you like their music.
My #1 band! Up the Irons! 🤘
I was 16 when this album released and a friend buy me a copy for my birthday, for years i melt the cd such a masterpiece
LA BANDA MAS MARAVILLOSAS DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS!!!!!! A MIS 51 ANIOS LOS IRE A VER EN VIVO!!!! CHILENA.QUE AMA A IRON !!!!😊🎉❤
I’m so happy y’all started listening to this stuff more recently. Oldies are the best, can’t wait to see what you react to next!
They are simply one of the very best bands in rock music history in every way imagineable.
Alot of new people are finding maiden. And realising how good music can be. It makes me happy more people are listening to new genres they wouldn't have listened to. It's the best thing about the internet.
The best band of the world, I saw them only 10 times 🤘🤘🤘
Along with Metallica my favorite metal band of all time.
Between those amazing guitarmanship, bruces vocals, the lyrics, and Ed Harris driving bass - their music is epic. all of it.
I've seen them live 6 times - last time was a year ago - they're 60 years old and still doing this at a high level. Plan to see them again next year if they come back to Cali.
I think you mean Steve 😆
Ed Harris?
Greatest Metal band ever. UP THE IRONS 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Freedom, freedom, freedom up the irons 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Maiden is definitely a trip worth taking. Legendary
This is one of IM classic performances. They get better with time, still killing it....
There is such a cinematic feel to the gorgeous intro. Wouldn't you agree? Scotland is a gorgeous place. Clear mountain lakes, rolling mists and mountains that aren't jagged but sloping majestically. And clear starry nights.
And Irn Bru.
I believe this song is about William Wallace, Scottish Knight wanted Scotland free from British Empire (1296 to 1328 known as 1st War of Scottish Independence) Wallace was executed by England in 1305 at the age of 35. His execution was brutal such as Hanged, Drawn, and Quartered. Steve Harris, founder of Iron Maiden plus Bassist is songwriter loves history and poems. Majority of Iron Maiden's song is based on those traits.
There was no British Empire in the time of Wallace, that was several centuries in the future, the Normans had conquered England about two centuries earlier, and were extending their rule into Wales, and trying to do the same in Scotland, although they were not successful.
Scotland would play a major role in the formation of the British Empire.
@@semperterra3235 thanks for the info
The British Empire didn't exist in William Wallace's time. Britain as a country didn't exist.
I'm telling you, Iron Maiden are a multi-generational band! I'm 31 so unfortunately I missed their absolute peak in the late 80s but man, they're my favourite band (With Saxon and Motorhead a very close 2nd & 3rd) and have been for the past 13 or 14 years. In that period of time I've discovered countless new bands, got into heavier styles of Metal and dabbled with different genres of music however, one way or another it always comes back to Maiden for me. To me they're like a comfort blanket and they more or less are the foundation for my taste in music. I owe a lot to Iron Maiden. I really do. Up the Irons, lads and lasses!🤘
Iron Maiden yeah 👍🏽💪🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
Iron Maiden, last weekend was part of new concert festival called Power Trip in California. They, Metallica, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Guns N Roses, and Tool played last weekend.
Drummer, Nicko McBrain is of Scottish Heritage. He is doing his version of Scottish dance.
Subscriber from Malaysia. Up the IRON
Can't help....at "freedom" after the intro goosebumps running over my skin! After 22 years of knowing this performance! Truly a historical performance in iron maiden history and music history! Up the Irons 🙏🤘
Welcome to the other side. It’s OK to come on in. It’s awesome and relieving.
Welcome to the biggest rock band in history! Its gonna be a journey for u! Songs, books, poems, history and just greatness!
My favorite band, lets go!
Nicko mcbrain signature snare drum from the old premier drum company , the best sounding snare drum in the history of metal , so glad I own one .
THE greatest live band ever! They are just as good in 2024 as they were in 1985.
I bet Meaux has this on a loop. "The Clansman"??? yeah she does.
LMFAO.
lmaoooo unnecessary
I don't think it's possible to "understand" how this works, how it comes to be. Like the pyramids, they just are. Whether it's Maiden, The Stones, Michael Jackson, or any genius or work of art, all you can be is open to the experience. I try to think about what a song is going to do to me, how it's going to open me up to something I like or, sometimes, don't. Music is healing, especially when it's of the gods. Soul music. Thanks for the reaction. 🙏🙏
Love your reaction bro! How ever. you got "Madam" over there distracted by her phone or something just killing the vibe. still get a like and comment for you. dude!
I was there! One of the best days of my life!
I don’t get jealous often. I envy everyone who witnessed Rock In Rio in person. Arguably their greatest performance ever.
Definitely recommend more Maiden!!!!!!
Most all songs are bad ass!!!
My favorite band you guys are doing a great job
That whole set is amazing
❤So happy to have found your channel through these Ren reactions 🤘🤣🤘 I really enjoy your reactions and passion for good music. Both of you are awesome and very entertaining ❤
Thank you both so much
Best live album ever
I saw Iron Maiden last year in SoCal and they were 🔥from start to finish. They were incredible.
~ Up The Irons!
You guys rock all your reactions, Iron Maiden is Classic I was listening to them in 81.
Really ? she was hardly watching it ! .
Iron Maiden is one of the greatest bands in history! Period! Full Stop!
Great Song EPIC Stuff
the drummer was 50 then but the singer is the youngest and he was born in 58. they are still touring and will be in 24.
Just 43 years old, Bruce. He was practically a child 🤣
Great reaction thanks greetings from Costa Rica 🎉🎉🎉
iron maiden is that kind of band, if you hear first time they live, you dont even hear the album versio. like this song is the great example.
I love seeing people discovering Maiden! Great reaction. Hoping to see you do more Maiden.
Subscribed.
Great reaction ? , she hardly watched any of it ! .
@@jonkerr7667she *listened* to all of it and watched a lot of it. (I’d say most, but I didn’t actually track her eyes second by second.) There are also two people reacting.
Amazing performance.
Check out "Sign of the Cross" from same concert. Some really nice guitar solos.
one of band in the world who tour with their own plane boeing 747. Up the irons!
Iron Maiden are next level simple as that. When have you seen at Rapper play live in front of 250,000 people. Never ,Iron Maiden have been doing this for decades and still tour today.

Maiden is number 2 all time in the list of many genres I listen to. Offspring, Maiden,Megadeth top 3 in rock IMO. Definitely should have done Hallowed be thy name, 7th son of a 7th son, Flight of Icaris, or Aces High
Banger 👏
Williams Wallace is proud...., greetings from Chile...\../\../\../
You got the story. Iron Maiden songs are all stories. Try The Flight of Icarus next. Awesome
Currently touring North America. Just saying🤪
Best live band ever.
Watch Alexander The Great from this tour.
Have fun catching up with their 17 studio and 30 live albums
Great band. Okay song.
Up The Irons 🤘
Nicko is doing his interpretation of a Scottish dance. Nicko does not do drugs at all !!!
Rime of the ancient mariner flight 666 live...les recomiendo saludos Christian desde Chile.
I would love to see you react to Testament, Specifically return to serenity. I think that one would be a banger for you.
Or you could do some KMFDM or Ministry, lets not be too picky here.
Think she was enjoying her book while the band were performing .
I believe it's not 5 days after 9/11 because every resource I can find says Rock in Rio 2001 festival was in January 2001 and it's the last performance on their tour. I have no idea idea what the "9/16" might be refering to in the video title though, but in the end it's not an official video title.
Perhaps concert was broken into 16 parts, with this being part 9.
@@JonComboyeah, that comes to mind but I couldn't find any evidence to support it, but frankly I didn't search long enough, it's quite possible.
Not sure why someone would request this before Number of the beast or Hallowed Be Thy Name live at Hammersmith 1982. The studio version of the Trooper is essential too
I'll get some hate for saying this, but this is one of the few songs in which I prefer Blaze's version to Bruce's. This was right after Bruce rejoined the band, right after the Brave New World tour, so he stumbled on the lyrics and pitch a bit. He just didn't have much time to dig into the song before the show. Bruce is the overall better singer, this just wasn't really written for him so he doesn't get as much opportunity to show off his range on this one. It works better almost chanted, like on the album version.
Their song, Dance of Death soon maybe? :)
RISE UP AND LETS GO FREEDOM AND UNITY FAMILY WORLDWIDE KEEP THE LOVE WAVE GOING AND LET’S ROCK THIS WORLD TOGETHER FAMILY LOVE IS THE NUCLEAR BOMB THAT CAN CHANGE THE WORLD THANK YOU ALL I APPRECIATE YOU ALL LOVE AND RESPECT FAMILY NEVER GIVE UP WE ARE ALL IN THIS WORLD TOGETHER FAMILY
Now for an intense history lesson try "Paschendale" Live. You will need the lyrics. Absolutely Powerful.
Next react chicago 25 or 6 to 4 live 1970
This song is based on the movie Braveheart with Mel Gibson
Please react to Maidens Hallowed Be Thy Name, Wasted Years, Infinite Dreams and Tomorrow's Dream
Read what's that button do, watch the making of iron maiden.
But the key to iron maidens concert success is theatre of the mind, the band having energy to run around, the ability to tell a story clearly. Music is meant to hit uouf brain it's the way out ancestors communicated, that's why rap n metal mix well ( limp bizcuit BabyMetal etc) whyy hip hop and electro creates new vibes, hell I'll just put klm with tammy Waynette. Justified and ancient! Your song had yo tell your story but it is also about those people on your audience feeling the same heart n soul!
Is Iron Maiden coming to Canada?
Iron Maiden Announce 2023 Canada Shows Leading Up to Power ...
Iron Maiden Announce 2023 Canada Shows Leading Up to Power Trip Performance. Iron Maiden will be bringing their “Future Past Tour” to the Great White North for three shows this fall.Apr 21, 2023
Iron Maiden were formed on Christmas Day, 25 December 1975, by bassist Steve Harris shortly after he left his previous group, Smiler. Harris attributed the band's name to a film adaptation of The Man in the Iron Mask from the novel by Alexandre Dumas, as the title reminded him of the iron maiden torture device.
Try "Fear of the Dark" rockin Rio
It was on Jan 16 2001
I loved Paul as I loved Bruce, but it's time for Maiden to move beyond for a new singer. As long as the musicians can still play, and they can.
Τhat dance is a Scottish dance....
Y'all have to do iron maiden run to the hills next
this comes from one of there worst albums "virtualxi" blaze bailey is original vocalist to this track...i used to drink with him many yrs bk in bham.... ps whats with all these ppl reacting to metal videos all of a sudden....?
❤🤘
which models are your headphones?
These guys are amazing. This is not long after the singer and one of the guitarists returned to the band after nearly 10 years away. This song came from one of the two albums while the singer was away. Basically the only good thing to come out of that period
Prefiro essa musica na voz de Blaze Bayley
The backing tracks are for the weak ones!
Iron Maiden RIR 1985 and 2001 are unbeatable performances...because it's in Rock In Rio...because it's in Brazil, I'm sorry but it's true. 250+/- thousand Maiden fans!
The band played to approximately 250,000 people; the second largest crowd of their career (the band's largest concert attendance was their 1985 Rock In Rio performance to an audience of 350,000).
Irish Jig????? Are you for real? He even tells you at the start that it’s a song based in medieval Scotland. The clue was in the opening comments!
🤣🤣🤣
What has "five days after 9/11" got to do with it?
