My word do I appreciate these pistols and I appreciate even more your efforts to show them and share and save them. This is wonderful through and through. A real pleasure to watch this whole video.
Very interesting, informative and entertaining video, guys! The array of rescued handguns from Canada, the well-documented Walther from the 11th Panzer Division, and the nipples on the WWi armor were especially noteworthy.
It'd probably boggle the mind if we knew just what was out there in people's collections after conflicts. Man, those firearms are just beautiful. Good on you for saving them. Great vid fellas.
My grand father Chester Colston was also in the 359th. I’ve got photos of German soldiers marching penciled in was 11 panzer division. I wish papa was still alive to see this video. He may have known this guy
Thats pretty neat stuff. I wonder how many machine gunners died from spawling. It could be interesting maybe lining the edge of armor with paper to see the spawling pattern.
They don’t dump guns in a blast furnace they dump them into a basic oxygen furnace as scrap to destroy them at least that’s what they do where I work. A blast furnace is used to produce iron
The two different clips on the shoulder holster could be explained, the leather holster manufacturer most likely outsourced the aluminum clips to different suppliers, they wouldn’t have made them in- house. Also, don’t destroy the armor if it in fact is original. 😕
Correct me if I’m wrong but I see the P38 barrel length listed as 125mm or 4.92 inches making it legal here in Canada. Broom handles are also legal. They are in the restricted class not prohibited. Swiss Lugers, artillery Lugers and navy Lugers are restricted class as well. Unfortunately the p08 is prohibited. You can have a new barrel installed but the original is destroyed. That is indeed an ignorant law. A rifle normally is restricted to a 5 round magazine but there is an exception for the M1 Garand. One would think an exception for the p08 makes sense. It’s not reall a good concealed carry option.
The C96 might fall into the .25/.32 prohibited class? Not sure it does or not as Tokarev pistols seem to be okay, but who knows anymore. If it's in the "prohibited" class of handgun, then only the grandfathered folks can buy and sell and frankly there's less and less of us every day. It could be that the fellow just wanted to move the entire collection south too, which isn't a bad plan seeing as Crown Prince Shiny Pony managed to retain power.
What extra costs did each one of these have with exporting it from Canada? I'd like to have a 49 date Russian SKS....from there BUT extra costs is as much as cost of the gun itself.
The canadian prohib list is just plain stupid. All 32 and 25 are in the same boat. Doesnt matter if its a hundred years old. As soon as the owner dies it has to be sold to another person with a prohib license. But those licenses were only granted in the 80s. Nobody is getting licenses anymore.
As if we needed another reason to dislike that repulsive little worm of a boy Turdeau. One thing though guys ... please don't shoot/stab the armor piece ... it is a rare piece of history and marring it just because you can is totally wrong and to be honest I am very surprised Tom. :(
This is one of my favorite channels on TH-cam. Greetings from Finland.
Wonderful Story Tom!
Bravo! Preserving history.

Fascinating, you guys are great! Love you Bro !:)
Good to see Kurt getting in on the action now !
...the little details like the proof/arsenal mark on the 1912 Erfurt (and proofs in general) are what make collecting interesting

The eagle on the Pith helmet is the Heer badge youi should know that.
Looks very close to my NVA pith helmet

Great vid fellas.
Thank you!!
"This is like a cat", great way to ad lib that comment. The surrender picture shows a shoulder rig pistol like the PP maybe.

I had so many cap guns that looked exactly like that in the 80s.
My great uncle Bob fought in WW2. He had a Purple Heart 💜 and a few other medals.
Please don’t shoot the WW1 armor I beg of you. In the words of the late great Indiana Jones, “That belongs in a museum.”

great stuff lads keep them coming
That’s Awesome! Great Job!
Great video
destroying those gems should be criminal.
Are the PP holster a shoulder rig, may it be a chest rig? Look at the drawing of the surrender.
I'm sad for the ones that didn't make it out. :(
Let’s see more of Kurt. Maybe a segment on edged weapons…..

Lets see Kurt show his knowledge of firearms…with the helmet of course!
17:33 Good idea, but I would take a closer look, if I were you. ;-)
Question....Tom What are the rules now on bring backs for US servicemen from current conflicts?
Generally they cant bring back any guns.

Nice ,My credit card is sweating .
Can’t believe they would destroy history
My P08 is dated 1913, not all matching due to sideplate bein forced matched.

About $200 each
Called a pith helmet because it is made out of pith, simple as that.
Please don't shoot that unless there is a lot of them around
Dont shoot the armour
