    I am very thankful for the information on this TH-cam channel and others that opened my eyes to the need for second and third passports and multiple residencies. So many Americans don't even have a passport to leave the US. This is a tragedy. Keep the good content coming.

    One point that this video misses is the strength of US citizenship with regard to jobs. The US job market is huge. You may be an entrepreneur, but your children may end up wanting to be professionals such as engineers or lawyers or doctors and the US job market for those individuals is among the best in the world. The EU is good, but linguistic barriers are significant to enjoy the benefits of the large job market. So I would definitely be willing to pay additional tax for the benefits of US citizenship.

    • @marcind4644
      @marcind4644 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah, he is basically also arbitraging his American background, even after renouncing.
      USA and EU are still the place to be if your work is location dependent, try to live from a job like the locals do in some of those tax paradise.
      And the passports just face less scrutiny.

    It’s interesting how you keep making videos encouraging Americans to renounce their citizenship for tax reasons just because you did. Look, if you don’t like America and want to leave, that’s fine-it’s your choice. But telling people to renounce their citizenship solely for tax reasons is misleading.
    Plenty of people in America understand the tax code and use it to their advantage. For example, I have an uncle who owns multiple companies and earns nine figures a year. Over the past 10 years, he’s paid between 1% and 3% in taxes, and for two of those years, he paid absolutely nothing-legally. I started studying the tax code a few years ago, and it’s mind-blowing what’s possible if you understand it.
    Why not be more transparent with your viewers? For those who love America and want to stay but reduce their taxes, teach them about the tax code and strategies to lower their tax burden. For those who dislike America and truly want to leave, offer your services to help them renounce and relocate.
    I started watching your videos a while back and almost decided to renounce during the time you were planning to. But after speaking with my uncle, he laughed and called me foolish for considering renouncing solely for tax reasons. Since then, I’ve learned a lot from him and started applying what I’ve learned. Today, at 24 years old, I earn about $300K annually-not a fortune, but decent-and I’ve legally paid just 5% in taxes over the past two years. This year, I expect to pay around 2%. You don’t have to be a millionaire to take advantage of the tax code.
    This is the kind of information you should be sharing with your viewers. If you truly dislike America, that’s fine-make that clear in your videos and target people who already want to leave. But don’t misinform people or push them to renounce citizenship just for tax reasons. Renouncing is permanent, and doing it solely to avoid taxes is short-sighted. There are smarter, legal ways to reduce taxes without giving up your citizenship.

    Are there any videos of this type but for like, normal people? Like I'm only 19 years old, a college student, but these multiple citizenship type videos have been interesting me for a while now, but I notice almost all of them are marketed towards people making a specific income (usually like 500k a year or more)

    • @Global-livingg
      @Global-livingg 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There's little point for normal people - at best it's not a bad idea to get residency somewhere you like as a 'plan b' or a place to piss off to if things back home go sour, and that'll lead to another citizenship, but for average folks there's zero reason to get multiple citizenships...or even residencies.

      @@Minos-u3k Exactly. Besides if you're American, it is your identity. There's something inherently wrong with renouncing that but I understand some people doing it and I know that my thinking regarding that is more emotional than logical but using logic, you don't know what other countries will do in the future.

      @@noneofbusiness7739I didn’t watch the entire video, but I think he has Saint Kitts and Nevis, Estonia, Serbia, and Mexico. He keeps getting citizenship by exception. Mexico makes you renounce their citizenship if you apply for naturalization with another country. Yeah he probably doesn’t have time to naturalize, but it makes sense with the travel to the US, Canada, and Australia. Him looking Latin American sells the deal. I might be wrong, but it’s my guess
