Shoba had a very short film career and life but won so many accolades! She died very young, at 17 yrs old. Probably in four year span she won all the top awards in Kerala and Tamil Nadu films.
This song was composed for the film payanangal mudivathu ile, but the director did not like it. A masterpiece used by Balumahendra in this movie. The other song Ilaya nila was use in payanangal mudivadu ile fil. Both songs are eterna masterpieces composed by Ilayaraja
