The salesforce tower is 1070 FEET tall, not meters. If it was 1070 meters tall it would be the first skyscraper over a kilometer tall and would be abt 600 feet higher than the Burj Khalifa

The Bay Bridge part of this video has a pretty big disconnect between the footage and the span the narrator is actually talking about.

You are off with your stats. The Salesforce building in San Francisco is 1,070 feet tall, not meters. That is 326 meters. if it was 1,070 meters, it would be the tallest building in the world...

Uh.... For the Bay Bridge which links San Francisco to the East Bay, I think the stock footage is all wrong. The footage shows the western span of the bridge. The Bay Bridge is actually two bridges: The western span which is a suspension bridge that runs from San Francisco to an island in the middle of the bay (Yerba Buena Island). The other "bridge" is the eastern span which runs from Yerba Buena island to Oakland. The eastern span was a cantilever bridge. That's the portion of the bridge that suffered the roadway collapse in the 1989 earthquake (which occurred during the world series baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Athletics). The stock footage in this video is of the suspension portion of the bridge. The part that was replaced by the "Engineering Marvel" was the cantilevered eastern span.

The i-90 floating bridge in washington just south of the sr-520 bridge is way more impressing. 4 lanes eachway and now a light rail nearing completion in-between the eat/wastbound bridges that connected the 2 sides. I drive both every week depending on traffic and the i-90 floating bridge is cooler to me.

There are several bridges that are longer than the Bay, or the Golden Gate. Some are in the U.S., but the longest are not.

this is ridiculous. everything is in america. and i love how when it an non US one you raise loads of negatives (three gorges dam, China), when talk of the US structures is only positive with stats. hoover dam, empire state building, san fran bridges and guggenheim should not be on this list.

Everything you said is a lie. It is not the largest salt mine in the world , it is the 5th largest in the US nevermind the world, the 14000 employees is just a ridiculous thing to say. And its 5 million ton yearly production is for US domestic use and is OBVIOUSLY NOT 90% of the world production since it is an insignificant amount an is dwarfed by other US or Canadian mines without venturing to the rest of the world.
