We have no true understanding of energy and it's completely uncertain to know whether energy cannot be created or destroyed. In fact it makes more sense that it can be created because in an expanding universe the growing space is still energy and it's not being taken from somewhere else, in this reality anyway. It's not a truth. It's a usable theory of "theoretical" physics. More often than not we realize it's both. The ultimate paradox.

I really have to point out something about modern presentations of great speakers. We really don't need the background 'music' - please. It is in constant competition with the message conveyed. I won't be alone in my complaint. There is absolutely no reason for Alan Watts to need help from background 'support' (distractions.) It is very off putting. When you attempt to recall what has just been said you find it is contaminated by the background.

I can state, with supreme confidence and "authority" that "human" consciousness is an existential aberration. The why of that assertion is simply a matter of discovery.
