No. I speak from experience when I say you want more cav heroes on your wall if you are a range front. It's all about the squad damage. I normally take 1 range hero like snow queen or bombin goblin, 2 inf heroes, and 2 cav heroes for my range frontline rally trap. Inf heroes also help a lot when you get range blasted. If he had reinforcements or more range t4, then he would have capped. The only time I would ever stack heroes onto my frontline would be if I see that they are 100% sending a cav rally by how quickly their troops walk in. Don't be like most bad rally fillers and instead send 4 troops from another type with your march. It will hide the fact that you sent cav. I took a hit from a baron with 11k heroes and he actually got a walkback of cav vs my range, which was a first for me. It really depends on how high their hp and defense stats are, because that is what is going to lead to a walkback. The battle goes on for 40 seconds until one side is zeroed or one side's morale hits 0 from automatic decay after those 40 seconds. Your morale cannot hit 0 before those 40 seconds are up. Having 1100% cav attack is going to kill more of my troops than 700% for sure, but if that 1100% cav attack player has 350% hp and defense, while the 700% cav attack player has 500% hp and defense, then the 700% cav attack player has a better chance to get a walkback. It doesn't matter how many of my T2 that player kills, because T2 do very little damage and have low morale loss. It's the T4 backing them up that hit like a semitruck. A higher attack stat does not stop you from getting capped when outmatched, but it will help you burn the enemy if they lack troops. 11k heroes have the advantage of massive army hp, which is why they get so many walkbacks. They knew I was a rally trap, and I knew that they had my range heavy comp. I rolled my eyes, put 4 cav heroes and 1 inf hero on my wall, swapped to cav phalanx, changed familiars to cav attack and hp stacking familiars with infantry 40% hp debuff, and I waited for them to launch. My gamble paid off as they had all sent T5 infantry blasts. 6 rallies hit instantly with mostly T5 in them, while the other 2 canceled. Goodbye over 10m T5 troops. I have no idea how anyone can afford to send a full T5 march just to hurt me more. Not really worth it.

Yep + he doesn't try to counter, I can understand not swapping formations when multiple can launch but there is no reason to stay close-by and not counter the incoming rally even with that comp and gear. Great account but I'm questioning the game / trapping experience what you can see quite often lately with the big increase in account sales. Kuddo's for taking them all tough, also a quick tip, make T2 siege instead of T1, T1 will barely damage T4 siege and you will get a lot of walkbacks from these types of guys hitting you. Had the same happen to me when I was still learning the ropes.
